There was a flash sale last month wherein I got the Tab S9 FE Plus for $295...It is, without a doubt, one of the best deal and purchase I've ever made. Being an S23 Ultra user (and an exclusive Note series user since 2012), it syncs all my Samsung Notes to the phone / tab seamlessly. I have all my medical notes from 2012 automatically synced to this tab. Paired with the Samsung Buds2 Pro and Samsung Neo QLED TVs at home and Clinic, Samsung ecosystem has truly matured and surpassed all my expectations in the recent years. Absolutely love it.
@user-ki7qh5rc4h Spec wise, no. The A12 processor in the iPad Air 3 is at par with the Exynos 1380 in the FE+. However multitasking is far better on the FE+ given the larger 12.4 inch screen and the 8gb RAM. Reading books while having a video playing side-by-side is really convenient and practical. The aspect ratio is perfect for videos and ebooks. MicroSD expansion is awesome. 2nd screen for your laptop is underrated. If you are in the samsung ecosystem, it's perfect and worth the upgrade. If you are in the apple ecosystem, iPad Air 3 is still amazing and at par specwise.

Just a small correction: for the S9 FE Plus version, the model options are 8GB Ram and 128GB Internal Memory // 12GB Ram and 256GB Internal Memory, while for the S9 FE the model options are 6GB Ram and 128GB Internal Memory// 8GB Ram and 256GB Internal Memory. In that sense, the model options you mentioned here are the ones for the S9 FE and not the ones for the S9 FE Plus.
1 issue encountered : While changing the Video quality to 2160p on TH-cam, it does change all the available video quality preferences in the list and plays at 480p only! But, while you switch to any quality upto 1440p, it doesn't do the same. Only glitch while switching to 2160p. Anybody else noticed the same?
Since it has been 9 months after it's release and since update support is time based almost 1 year later than tablets just released this week....is there a new released tablet you would recommend at the same price as the S9FE that will give us 1 more update in the future over the S9 FE when talking longest possible future updates since the s( FE has already got 1 update consumed with it's update to Android 14? Is there a newly released equal to the S9 FE at the same price that starts with Android 14? I'll be getting a new tablet in the next few months as my batterey on my 2020 S6 Lite is starting to show batterey issues after about 4 years of very high usage. I'm wanting as fresh as possible on that future OS update support and this feels like I'm starting 1 year too late. Thank you for the EXCELLENT tablet reviews. Initially, I was worried the 6 gb of ram and exynos 1380 would be offering a sluggish performance for my work usage but it turned out very differently when I decided to risk it rather than an ipad 9/10 because of the expandable storage, free s pen and obviously because I use samsung phone too so it'd sync better with the galaxy tab than an Ipad. Performance wise no problem at all for me even though with the 6gb of ram (I don't game on android devices), battery life definitely couldn't outlast an ipad but still good enough, 2 days 1 charge in my usage. Having a decent camera is a huge bonus for me to work on tablet than on a laptop (apart from the weight & portability), it helps me tremendously to take pictures easily of the documents I need to apply on my work claims while with laptops, I have to take pics with my phone and send it to my laptop. Last but not the least, cellular option, it's a godsend for me who loves to travel around.
Well, after watching your review of comparing the SE+ and FE+, I decided to go for the SE+, I had an offer from Samsung, $50 off IF using the "shop" app and decided to finally dump the last apple product I had left to trade, the 10th gen tab and got $288 trade in for it, so overall I paid $541 + tax, and I get to pick it at the local Best Buy, so in 4 hours I'll be stopping by and finally get rid of that piece of garbage apple mediocre tab. I got that as a gift, but hopefully it'll send a message to everyone in my family that I don't appreciate their apple gifts.....they're crazy if they think I'll go back to that mediocre stuff. Android......or just give me the cash.
There is a workaround for S9 FE to use external display, but you need to use MHL cable/addapter. It is in noticeably worse quality, you can't use usb hubto connect display, mouse and keyboard with single cable and you can only mirror your tablet screen (no dex on external and standard on tablet at the same time) but it can be done and is still very usefull. It is quite old workaround that worked even with micro usb and lightning connectors

I just recently bought the galaxy tab s9 fe for school to take notes, it arrives in september, but I just wanted to ask if the tablet can push video out WIRELESSLY, since it doesn't need a cable, or is it just the same? Also I've already seen all of your other reviews, but you never mentioned (I think) if you could notice the difference between a screen that is 2560 x 1600 pixel vs maybe a screen that is 1900 x 1080, thanks!!
So many different things go into screen comparison, and on top of that, you have to put them side by side in order to truly see the differences. PPI is a good indicator you should keep in mind. You likely could do a wireless using third party app. How well it works will be depending on the app

I wanted to give it a go to s9fe+ but having no usb c video out was the thing I decided against it since the s7fe has it. I thought it being an upgrade/newer version it would have it. I only use my s7fe for drawing and to output video to my big monitor. And I bought my s7fe for $200 usd mint in box
As a user of the S9 FE I will say the processor in this tablet is just too underpowered. In anything but the most simple use cases the tablet gets frustratingly slow. For the price of this tablet if I was to buy again I would get a OnePlus tablet. It is a similar price but offers a processor that is 10x better than the one in the Tab S9 FE. All the reviewers say the performance is "good" but I disagree. Sure watching a TH-cam is fine but if you try watching a TH-cam and doing something else at the same time? Yeah the tablet falls apart fast.
Not sure why you're experiencing that; from the propecrive of a midrange Android, it performs well, which I'm thinking is the reason all other reviewers say that.
@@IvanKam11 maybe I need to factory reset. I had to uninstall almost all apps to get it running ok. Everything like Twitter, fb, etc is now a web link on my home screen.
i'm a student i was planning on buying one for college, waching lectures while taking notes , And start making screen recordings for my students i might need to edit them as well is it gonna be to much for the Fe+?
@@smasher7751 I would recommend getting the full tab S9 and not the fe model. If you are willing to consider something not Samsung look at the OnePlus pad 2, it's really powerful and much cheaper than Samsung.

Hey, I just wanted to know something, Is it really necessary to install the screen protector to the tab because I did one to my S9 FE + and the stylus stopped recognizing in some areas.
I never use any kind of screen protectors on any of my phones or tablets. They are not really necessary as long as you don't drop your devices on hard surfaces.. otherwise, the Gorilla glass (or similar) used for the screens of these devices is much tougher than any "screen protector" you can buy aftermarket... I have 10 year old phones with virtually no scratches on the display.
I'm curious about the huawei matepad papermatte, I saw it in the store and it seemed like even a better device to take notes and read books (kindle experience). Can you say anything about it?
Sooo, I just got mine, and when I try to manually put the screen resolution to 4k youtube switches my quality to 480p and literally locks it! I can't find any settings for this, everything is up to date, I have a perfect connection this is the only device this happens on. Does anyone have a solution?
Good day. I have identified the root cause of the issue. The tablet's processor is unable to support 2160 HDR playback. However, 1440p HDR and standard 4K content play without any problems. If you wish to watch 4K HDR content, you can try setting the video speed to 0.5 and waiting for the resolution to change before adjusting the speed back to normal. Please note that there may be occasional lags during playback. In my opinion, the trade-off is not worth it as the difference between 2K and 4K HDR is barely noticeable.
@norbertsusztek1316 I'm just saying from my personal experience that playing 4k with HDR was causing the problem. I even contacted samsung support and trouble shooted the device. Not to mention, when I managed to get the video to play in 4k HDR by slowly it down, it was lagging.
@norbertsusztek1316 During my troubleshooting efforts, I contemplated whether modifying the refresh rate could potentially rectify the encountered issue. However, upon implementation, this approach yielded no positive outcomes.

Bought S9 fe+ from samsung shop with heavy discounts. A great product tbh

Mine does it too. If I go for 2160p 60fps it shifts to 360p. If it's just 2160p, it runs fine for me.

I have experienced this either, thinking it seems a bug from YT, deciding to delete the app and do it on web browser instead😓
