- In the 13th part of this video series, I'm bringing the crankcases together, with fresh crankshaft and con-rod bearings.
I also do some work on the paint job of the cylinder block and honing the cylinders as well.

Thank you very much!
Great work Chris! Glad to see you’re back at it. Love Ken’s work too, makes me want to start the FZR rebuild again and do it properly 😂
Thanks Tom! I think we both done enough to our FZRs! However, I agree! It makes you want to go again!!!
👏Thank you (belgium)
You are very welcome!
Καλησπέρα φίλε μου και καλή χρονιά να έχουμε !!!
Επίσης φιλε. Καλή χρονιά με υγεία!
Your always so chill when building up a motor so it was funny with the lots of swearing comment. I’ll go sub that channel anyone doing an early fzr1000 gotta be a good guy. All that painting your stealing my thunder lol
Trust me, I can swear a lot (both in Greek and English) when things go wrong 😂🤣
Yes, that Ken guy is doing an amazing work with his FZR100!!! On the next video I've prepared something for you 😉
@@ChrisSofos your awesome and I’m going to use your video in the one I’m putting together it will fit in nicely
Chris said I was from the USA but I'm actually from Canada - that's probably why I'm such a nice guy...hahaha!
@KensWorldRestorations oh bummer! Sorry Ken! That part of the world, you all sound the same to me 🤣😅🤣
@@ChrisSofos Hahaha!! It's true...
Hi Chris
Really enjoying your content.
I have the same bike, same year.
Owned it for 26yrs, taken it from 60k on the clock to 119K.
It been a great bike, but I don't have the time, facilities or expertise to do the great work you are doing here.
Do you know any Adelaide enthusiasts with the same skills?
I would really like to sell it on to someone as a project bike, who can give it the TLC it deserves.
Thank you for your kind words! They are really amazing bikes and they handle extremely well for their age!
I don't have any people I know in Adelaide, but there might be a few in Melbourne. Send me an email at csofos@hotmail.com if you want with pictures of the bike and I'll ask around.
Cheers mate!
@@ChrisSofos Will do thanks.
Hi Chris sorry I can’t find the link to the 87 fzr rebuild could u please give me it sorry bout that your rebuild is coming along nice I put a different crank in my cases ( fz 750) so I measured all the installed new shell bores and crank dia got a nice on the tighter side of spec so may have to run in on 5w 30 or 40 mineral. Can’t wait to push that button cheers from NZ
No problem Karl. Happy to hear your FZ comes out nicely! Don't forget to show us pics or videos!

Hi chris, you messed up with the chain guide ??
Yes, I did on the first go! Then I realised and I had to take the crankcase off and put everything back the normal way this time 😅🤣😂
Good catch 👍
@@ChrisSofos It happens to the best of us ! Thanks for the quality video btw
Hi there Chris.. I have two question?
In the top of THE engine there Is a tap with a litrle tuve. Where or what Is connect to It?
At THE botrom of THE air box there Is a little tube, what Is connected on It?
GSXR 750 1988.
Do your have an e-mail? So i can send you fotos of what i mean.
Saludos amigo!!
I think I know which tubes are you talking about. Both of these hoses (the one on the valve cover and the other on the air filter box) are connected with a hose. This you will see on my next video which I'm preparing now. It should be up in a few weeks. Sent me an email at csofos@hotmail.com
