Hey buddy, i have. 2013 edge AWD, the issue I have is that it sort of jerks when accelerating at around 1500-2300 RPMs… i have replaced plugs, coils, thermostat(it was overheating) coolant temp sensor, oil temp sensor cuz I was getting low oil pressure and car would shutt off eveytime that warning would comeup, i replaced with OEM twice and sometimes still comesup, all fluids are topoff, to standards. AWD works fine, also when at idle in D at a stop, i can se thst for some reason it gets torque to the front wheels, i have my display towhere it shows the intelligent drive system, , thank you in advance
Hi friend, what engine does your Edge have? Have you scanned the vehicle for any check engine codes? It sounds like you have multiple issues going on. Did the thermostat find your overheating problem? And with your oil pressure issue, did you ever put a mechanical gauge on the engine and check the real pressure?
Mine is making a clacking/popping when turning and going backwards. Also sounds like something is popping dramatically and stopping me from going backwards. Sound has now started also when I'm driving forwards but it doesn't have any loss of power or anything It just is at slow speeds
You’re welcome! I’m glad you’re able to see the video. I tried to up load it before I went to bed and it kept getting stuck in the processing stage. I hope you can find your problem! Let me know what it is, I’m curious now lol
@@T-MillProductions I just had my Edge looked at and have bad news. I guess where the driveshaft meets the transmission there is a seal that busted and transmission fluid was leaking out and I didn’t know it. So I guess I was driving with no transmission fluid and that caused my whole transmission and transfer case to go. The mechanic put all four wheels up and only 3 of them turned he said. But I don’t know. This is the worst news I could ever get. Does that sound right to you? I just hope I don’t try to get the money to fix this to find out that wasn’t the problem. Is that possible?
Yea that could be, if the transmission went empty it could damage the transmission, but It wouldn’t cause the transfer case to go bad tho. I would get a second opinion and just be sure what he is saying is true. I’m really sorry to hear that!
I'm working on a 2020 ford edge, owner stepped on pothole. And it runs good except when you turn to the right at a low speed it make a noise in the rear diff. Sounds like bass on radio. Then it stops when you pick up speed. Any idea what it might be.
Do you have any advice for a ptu leaking fluid from the vent? All the seals are good and there isn’t any noise i’ve just been keeping it full and trying to suck out fluid and it seems to be getting clearer but still is coming up through the vent and all over underneath the edge as i drive
Yes, so typically if it is pushing out of the vent that’s because the idler gear bearing is going bad and it’s actually burning up the fluid so hot it’s expanding and leaking out of the vent. Is there a stinky propane smell coming from it after you drive it for a while? Mine did the same thing for about 2 years before it finally broke. I changed the fluid every other oil change and it helped but eventually it still broke.
Unfortunately it sounds like your ptu is bad. That’s kind of how mine was but it eventually broke the idler gear and split the case. Amazon has them for around 600 dollars. Just make sure you fill it up lol. They come empty
@@T-MillProductions Yeah had it quoted and will end up ordering a unit off of amazon and just paying the shop to install. Did you have any noise on your unit before failure? There’s no grinding or strange noises yet for me but I think im starting to notice a high pitched quiet whine when I press the gas above 40kmh
Funny enough there wasn’t a peep out of it until the old lady went to back out of the driveway and heard a loud crunch noise and pulled it right back in and it just leaked fluid all over the driveway. We didn’t even have a vibration or anything before that.

Is your edge AWD or FWD? It sounds like either a carrier bearing in the driveshaft, wheel bearing, PTU (if awd), or a cv axle.
Thank you so much for this upload!!! It helps me tremendously!

@@T-MillProductions I sure will. I’m having it looked at tomorrow so I will definitely let you know!
Thanks! I hope it’s just a driveshaft and not the ptu !

I would almost think either a CV axle or a Wheel bearing unless the rear differential is actually bad
What year is this?
This is a 2008

@@T-MillProductions Yep propane smell and drips after being parked seems to puke much more fluid if I drive highway speeds.
