As a first time beginner, I was able to master my S16 Pro in a matter of an hour with little scratching....lol. With the Bluetooth speakers on the ride is a blast. Thanks for the great review and the info on your speed & Tilt back settings.

Another great review Scott. I have the S16 pro and my regular ride is a V11. Comparison wise the S16 has faster acceleration and agility but being 16” versus 18” I felt more stable at high speed on the V11 but this is coming from a 58 yr old intermediate level rider who I doubt will ever go over 45kph. I think it’s a great wheel for people who need an urban cruiser with less weight and ride more casually.
Is there any issue with the slider / suspension? Is it sturdy enough for long time period? I also consider S16 as my first wheel. Thank before🙏😊
Since you have both...I'm looking at these two as my next wheel, I started on a V8s and am pushing the max speed and plus I need suspension for the small town rough roads I ride on. Inmotion V11y or KingSong S16, what do you think? I like the acceleration part but I like what you say about stability at the higher speeds. The two my be a little closer in comparison with the V11y having higher torque than the regular V11, hmmmm. Safe riding.
@@MichaelHollandOne If you’re coming from a V8s the similar slim+tall profile of the V11y will immediately feel more familiar and easier to control with stability at higher speeds especially with the 18 inch wheels. The S16 having a chunkier profile and being heavier will probably feel fidgety compared to the V11 but its agility makes it better on rougher roads for me. If you’re riding a lot on rougher roads at slower speeds and requires maneuverability I’d chose the S16. For city commuting I’d chose the V11. I hope this helps.

Nice review 👍 I have a question about the 'X' suspension system. Is it durable enough compared to.. Let say Veteran Patton's fast ace suspension ? I worried about several peace of white rollers... Looks so 'plastic' 🤔
What differences did you feel riding, comparing the S16 and the S16 Pro? Does the extra 200W and 10 km/h really make a significant difference? Thanks for the review!
I've been riding a few years and I am interested in this wheel for city commuting. the jump from 50-60 is pretty nice. 200w is certainly not a huge deal, what makes the biggest difference is the batteries. the 50s add a lot of sustained voltage and energy density. I could be wrong,. but I think the controller on the Pro has been upgraded to match the battery upgrade. Consider how close the 2 are in price I'd definitely go for the Pro if possible

I'm curious about the electronics. Think that could be the weak point if there is any...tire good, sliders are latest gen...what else could go wrong 😂, bolts maybe.
What's the use case for this one? Beginner yes, compact so portable, some off road. Just lacking the range and high speeds and stability of larger tire on the fast street wheels right.

What’s the deal with tilt back on this wheel? Is it all or nothing like some other king song wheels ? Or is it progressive like a veteran wheel????
Some referred to the design as a Mailbox, but it seems to be a ok suspension wheel for the money
I still would not replace my 16S with the S16 as its 18kg vs 31kg and I have the S22 at 36kg for when I want to do the suspension rides.
It is also necessary to warn customers that there is no clear indication on the wheel to differentiate the PRO version from the version... Some TH-camrs even pointed this out, they had ordered the PRO and ended up with a version normal with stupidly "PRO" handwriting on the box...so the lack of KINGSONG serials should be reported to customers. It is necessary to be CERTAIN of the correct version ordered.
Ours are all labeled “Pro” correctly on the box (just arrived on Monday) and the app allows for 60kph vs 50kph top speed,
Pretty nice wheel that seems to be slipping under the radar. I'm looking for a compact suspension wheel that can fit in the trunk of a car (sedan, not SUV). Will this wheel fit the bill?
Yep this is a more polished Begode T4 with refined suspension.
Hello, I have seen videos of almost possible cut offs of the normal model of the S16. I hope the PRO model doesn't have that problem.
Can you please have both the pro and non pro together. I ordered one from ewheels and packaging sticker says ks-s16pro but the printed label for shipping says s16 pro or s and the Manuel says model ks-s16.

Why are you all positioning this wheel as for children and teenagers, beginners? This is nonsense.
Apparently simply because you are a store and want to sell more expensive and powerful wheels, but this one is small compared to them and you really want to expand the target audience.
But it's still a fucking 35 kg wheel with a top speed of 60 km/h. Just a couple of years ago, such characteristics would have been far from being for “beginners.” And in 2024, not everyone needs a maximum speed of 90 km/h and a range of 200 km on a single charge.

It would really be necessary to test the REAL top speed of the PRO otherwise there is no point in buying the pro if it is to drive under the 50km/h mark on the pretext that it is to avoid the beeps.

The price is very expensive on this site...on others sites it costs near to 2 200 dollars for the pro and near to 2 000 dollars for the regular.
Our pricing is Australian dollars. Not USD. So multiply $2000 USD price by 1.53 and you will have the equivalent AUD price.

More range, i don't think so because the s16 is alot havier than your 16x. The s16 1480 wh. Sorry
Significantly less range than the 16X unfortunately, the few people testing are only getting 50 - 60km of range compared to the 70-80km on the 16X

We don't care about the battery capacity when we're a beginner, we don't go with the SHERMAN sect with bald heads ^^

This is the Pro version without a Pro sticker! (We took the stock a week before KingSong had the labels ready).

Do you have any thoughts on the whole waterproofing on the S16, especially the speakers (when they are protruding outside), opening the battery compartment is underneath the case, and charge ports are above the wheel...where, if you got caught on a downpour, water might splash on them.
@MrSpeedyduck we will continue to test and ride the S16 Pro to better understand its degree of waterproofing and how it holds up to different conditions. That feedback will be released in a subsequent video once we have more experience with it. 👍
