    The fact KS already announced the S16 pro with the better battery cells(Samsung 50S) and stronger motor for +$150 makes me excited to see how much of a difference it makes. But 37mph top speed with 48° hill climb on an 84V wheel weighing 30kg. Seems like its designed to be a solid all rounder entry wheel. The S16 seems like a less compromised S19 since you can use third party pads too.

    • @ZenLee

      definitely I was thinking about buying the S19, but the pads are a bit of a turn off, I didn't know about the S16 Pro, sounds like a winner to me

      Hello, I have an S18 H, it came with Molicel batteries, of better quality than the current ones used by the S18. They are very safe, you will never have a cut off, but the negative thing is that they had much less autonomy than the standard ones.
      I tell you this because in addition to all the important things about an EUC, the batteries are essential.
      Unfortunately the example video is a very bad example, the seller who does the demonstration did it on a normal 16s with LG50 lt batteries and almost had a cut off in the complete demo, if it had not been for the new Kingsong electronics, it is not known. save.
      In addition, LG stopped selling the LG50 lt batteries.
      On the other hand, the Kingson 16s PRO uses Samsung 50S batteries, which have the virtue of providing all the power needed at a time, so nothing cuts out. And there will be no danger of any cut off. Greetings

    Thank you for the video. Been looking at this wheel since announced, but haven’t heard much about it since.
    Weight is my biggest concern now. All the new wheels are too heavy. This checks all the boxes for me, but the weight of the wheel seems to still be a question mark.
    I’m not a speed demon and not an audiophile. Just want something to commute/goof around on at a reasonable speed, something reliable, durable and with suspension.

      @mitchlee6698 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I highly considered the s18. But why not wait for the newer tech for pretty much the same price. It all depends on the weight now. If it’s 30 kg or less it’s a hands down winner in my book.

      I was gonna get an s18 cause it’s light too, but it’s mostly been sold with the batteries most likely to catch fire (LG M50T). Ewheels now only sells it with different batteries.
      The s16 has two battery options with higher discharge rates (LG M50LT & Samsung 50s) and it has smart BMS, so seems a lot safer. iCafe have some good videos about it. Also the s16 looks v pretty haha

    I'm usually commuting on my electric scooter which can go 50km/h and I usually get 30-40km of range.
    I'm currently looking at this as a replacement because I would feel much more comfortable taking a Euc into a store / restaurant and this seems to fit the bill. I will probably wait to see if there are any major issues with batch 1 tho.
    My main requirements for a wheel are for it to match the performance and range of my scooter to be able to keep up with city traffic and to not weigh more than 35kg

  • @mikebikekite1
    @mikebikekite1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice to hear a 20 minute independent review on the wheel though a shame you didn't speak more about the actual wheel. Was the rear light on while you were riding - I couldn't see any light on the back. How robust does the wheel feel? Would the trolley handles suit a 6'3" person? Is it faster than the 16X? Any idea of range? Why did they swap the original shock and pads? What's the pedal height like (like your Nikola or up high like the V11)? What's the difference between the S16 and the S 16 Pro?

    • @ZenLee
      @ZenLee  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I didn't really consider this to a be a review, as I only had the wheel for couple days.
      Didn't really get to go in depth with it, more of an first impressions video.
      Take my answers with a grain of salt here. It felt robust for a plastic wheel, and will probably survive some damage, and won't be too expensive to replace panels if it is damaged. I think it will be a tiny bit too short for that height, but the guy who owned it, was about that height and loved it. Same speed as 16X but felt more torque. Probably 40-50 miles of range. He didn't like the stock shock, which should be improved on the production model. The pedal height felt perfect, but I can't be more specific, was almost a month ago that I rode it.
      I didn't know about the S16 Pro, would guess more power.

    Hello, a fact, the change between normal and pro of the kingsong s16 is something else. The Samsung 50S batteries give you all the power you need to accelerate at full power (of course with the batteries at more than 50% of course) and you will never experience the quasi cut off that happened to you in the video. You should try doing the same but with a pro and you will see that everything flies. Greetings

    How in the world does a firmware update cause a tire to start rubbing? The tire is on a physical axle and only spins in one direction, which firmware obviously has nothing to do with, so curious what you meant by making the wheel “spin differently?”

  • @bravedave90
    @bravedave90 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the Commander Pro commentary. I pre-ordered one but, having a little FOMO rn with with the lynx coming, even the smaller GT is stlll promising. You'll probably get your 50s PRO before i do. So, please update us/me on the 90/90 tire if you can get it. I still think its gonna be top wheel for 2024 if that really matters. But, i know newer wheels are coming next year with "better" specs. I try not to play the spec game because your just chasing your tail so to speak. • @ZenLee
      @ZenLee  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      sure MC, can you give me an idea of the heavy side? The V11Y I'd avoid for now, I heard they're doing a recall. The S16 as long as you buy from a good dealer its a good choice, and I'm thinking of getting one. The Mini is probably the most solid choice for you, but its really heavy to start on, mine as well go for a Lynx :)

      At your weight, I'd avoid the 84V Wheels, although the S16 can support your weight, I don't think you'll get much range or enjoyment(I could be wrong). The mini maybe your only option, but I'm not sure you'll like the smaller 16inch tire. I'd definetly consider a Lynx or Sherman S, they will have a higher learning curve, but you won't outgrow them so quickly.

      @ZenLee  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome, and thanks for the comment. The T4 Is a 100v wheel so will have more top speed and I think bigger battery, but doesn't have all the extra bells and whistles ie lights and speakers. The T4 pro on paper is actually more interesting but after seeing some tests I don't have the impression that the top speed is greater than that of the s16 pro...maybe the autonomy actually but if I can do 45 miles on fairly versatile terrain, that's more than enough for me.
