I already have 937 miles on my ks-s16pro and I have to say that I used to go a maximum of 30 miles on a single charge when I sent it all there. after a few updates and one big updated of firmware battery both separately my range went up at full power sending to an incredible 44 miles and I still had 8%battery also even with 10-minute pauses, the battery percentage rises, depending on the voltage, sometimes by 20% what was problem previously only draining
What firmware update did you do to get more range, I did try to update to BMS firmware 1.85 but there was a problem after the update, I had an error with one BMS so I had to do a hard reset of the BMS so I'm sticking to the formal release of the firmware for now aside from the display firmware which gives you the battery life and speed display at the same time like in the video.
Great review as always. Currently Kingsong S19 has the fastest Lift sensor after Inmotion V11Y in suspension EUCs something most reviewers skip or don't see necessary. If you recall in your videos the Inmotion V10f how easy it was for you to quickly grab and lift upstairs. This is something some of us living in densely populated busy areas need. You have to be fast when crossing main roads to avoid been hit by a Car you will need a quick lift sensors to lift the wheel. The S16 pro if you have a thick object on your left hand it's not possible to quickly grab the S16 pro with your right hand and it's time consuming to switch off grab and lift onto the pavement. I will wait for your review of Kingsong S19. I will wish for a comparison between K S18 and Begode Falcon in light weight suspension EUC category. Thank you.
One can only be over the moon when going out for a ride and finding you can actually get more! *as long as you don’t ride as hard and weigh the same or less, and temp and tire pressure are the same as when I tested.
@@Speedyfeetuk Absolutely - it has my number one requirement (suspension of course) for an off road wheel, it is light. Like it on the road as well given the limitations on torque, speed and range it has say compared to the Master.
How are the sliders holding up over time? Have Kingson fixed the issues from the S16 to the Pro? What do you think of the issues that WrongWay brings up on his test of the S16 (not pro)?
Thanks for the review. The only thing that's missing from this wheel is IP rating like the v14 has. Have you taken it apart after riding in the rain to see how it's hodling up?
@@Speedyfeetuk I don't know. I was just riding along one day on flat road and it pushed back on me, said some expletive in Chinese, and then a puff of smoke came out the case. I have a lynx preordered but now i'm not sure. I'm using my v2 master but rarely to above 65kph, but I do need the torque as I routinely overtorque the master under braking. I'd probably do with 60kph top speed if the torque is up to par...
looks good. Needs an Isolation switch for the cargo handlers and the batteries need underwriters certification so that they can be considered on public transport,
@@Speedyfeetuk i like cruising long distances,i've got 70 miles out of my Abrams cruising at between 20 and 25.I'm thinking of getting a suspension wheel in the near future but i want the range.......i'm willing to pay for that range.I suspect as the batteries get better we will see more range from more compact wheels, until then we will have to ride the monsters.😁
Yeah, riders are reporting ~30-40 miles from their S16’s so not quite going to hit the 70 mile mark! Mind you I got substantially less than you when I range tested the Abrams as well!
@@Speedyfeetuk yeh but you put the wheel rhrough its paces,i stuck to a steady speed on a flat ride to purposely get the most out of it.I just like to have a nice slow cruise over long distances. Will need to get a sus wheel soon as im having a few issues with my knees.
@@Speedyfeetuk the begode falcon with its 900wh battery pack and 100v system is beating this thing in range by large margins, there's no world in which the 22 miles is a "good" result, there's clearly something wrong with kingsongs controller or software causing this thing to chug the juice back unnecessarily. You pushed 46 -55miles on the 16x in your own range test. The S16 being a bit heavier would not cause that kind of range difference. And it's not just "riding it hard" that caused that because people "riding easy" are struggling to reach 30 miles as well
@@gar_ee8884 pretty good. V14 got me ~35 miles with 1000wh more battery (2400wh). Pleased with both seeing as thats worst case. It is totally down to pushing it hard, road and offroad along with steep climbs etc. As a basic principle ~3600wh machines give us ~40 miles when ridden hard, whereas mixed/normal riding will give ~70+

@@leeteemtb9587 I would say the S16 Pro is the way to go!
Great to see you back reviewing a wheel Ian!!
Cheers Duf!
I started with the V8F inmotion wheel. In 2024, I upgraded to the Kingsong S22 Pro. I really like my two wheels, alot. I enjoyed your video.
Thanks for sharing!
Missed your reviews! Your OG Sherman review is part of what got me into EUCs. Glad to see new content.
Thanks! 🤩

Had mine for a few months now. No issues so far. Nice wheel at a nice price.

Great review 👍
I have that wheel and really like it, I get compliments because of the lights on it especially at night its really cool, best looking in my opinion
Congratulations! Great wheel for the price.
A great review.
I really need to start practicing riding backwards! You made it look so easy!!👍
Yeah you will get it, its pretty much same as first learning to ride forwards again, once you have it - easy!
Thanks for the impressions, great video as always. I with they would do new sub 25kg wheel with suspension. Lot of stairs on my routes...
I got 27 miles with my 16pro and still had 35% left in it. I was riding on average between 16 -22 mph lights were on
Awesome, and congrats of the S16!
@Speedyfeetuk thank you! : )
You really undersell these wheels with blasting these range tests

Awesome! Please me more videos on the s16 pro. I feel like it doesn't get enough attention for the versatility it offers at a budget.
Will aim to. Good package for sure.

Would you recommend it as an upgrade from a S18

I ordered ks-s16pro, so
@@ZonagrisPE no issues to report so far. What complaints about updates?
Is it normal that the USB ports aren't covered? That's how mine is and it seems odd.
I see that your ports are the same.
Yeah on many models it is.
Thanks! I think you need to do a "Marty style" bike path 20mph range test update or all these viewers will constantly complain about the range 😂😂😂
🤣 Its the same every time, even after all these years. Yup, need to ride at 15mph and conclude it does twice the range. Funny old world 🌍
Still no IP rating, still exposed wiring (see video)! Like my S18, looking towards V14 as its not having issues unlike this brand.
Don't forget to check tire pressure before "just slamming into it with zero skill".
No, check tire pressure after taking it out the box and before riding it for the first time.
How a wheel advertise as 80 miles end up with 22 ?! This is seriously low…
Pretty much all the same - they all boast a million miles and in reality nothing remotely close.
Not enough range for me.
