Maybe I'm a boomer but I miss old school minecraft let's plays.
Maybe this is just me but I have been watching Jordan for 10 years because of his Let’s Plays! He Is the best at MC let’s plays in my opinion and I hate seeing comments telling him he’s doing it wrong, he’s the GOAT let him be! Unfortunate that the algorithm doesn’t suit his style but I believe good content always rises to the top
I agree he’s definitely one of the best minecraft lets plays, I always seem to find my way back to one of them or another lol. It’s such a calming vibe and I love it ☺️
Yeah he's not the best minecraft player, but he knows what to do with let's plays to make them engaging and entertaining. I always feel like I'm getting exactly what it says on the tin.

I prefer the old way of TH-cam series. So go at your own pace! I like longer series, and as long as you complete at least one advancement per episode, I’m happy

I was really looking forward to the slower pace, base building, lets play vibe of this serie. I hope you don't begin speed running bc of one comment in the 1st episode. Maybe its just me but I am actually interested in him playing the game and not the speed run of the advancements. Do things at your own pace :)
Yes, this. Jordan, if you're reading this, there are hundreds and hundreds of speedruns people can watch if that's what they want. I'd love to see this series go slowly and at your own pace - maybe we'll do some builds, some farms, make a really cool base, whatever you're into!

100% agree! There are plenty of videos & streams of people trying to speed run various aspects of 1.19. As well as plenty of creators starting new 1.19 series focused on building. This is something different…which is nice.

Personally, I have been thinking you should do a survival vanilla LP for a long time. I am enjoying this. If you want to base build, then base build my mans. This is good, quality content.....and please, no shaders!

Sculk catalyst! It's not worth killing the warden for since you can silk touch a catalyst. The dev's didn't make a drop for the warden but then the community complained

Maybe worth considering compiling clips for a 'I spent 100 days in minecraft going for all advancements' for the main channel, they always seem to do really well view wise, and most of the content will be there anyway
Cap do you remember that right clicking shears to vines and kelp ect stops them from growing as well
With him complaining about ender pearls so much I was wondering when he would just do villager trading. I'm surprised he never thought of it considering he has done it many times in random loot drops recently
I think he may have chosen to not just so villager trades for pearls *because* he has done it so much recently.🤷🏻♀️ Also like he said…by exploring the nether he was also getting multiple advancements at the same time.

10:04 sounds like you’re referring to fWhip who did drain out the ocean for his hardcore world which was amazing btw, but Cap, you don’t have to put 50 hours into one episode for it to be entertaining! your content alone is entertaining but if you’re looking to have one “project” per episode in order to keep the audience retention like you were mentioning, they don’t have to even be builds. sure, yes, seeing a grand scale build is great! but, that requires a lot of time to be put in. what if you just set achievement goals for each episode? that way you still have a stand alone/ central idea per episode, you can pick which advancements to go for based upon how much time you have to put into the episode that day, it will keep you on a steady pace to your completion goal, and it’ll allow for an “organized” episode that doesn’t even have to be edited. I think throwing in a build or two here and there would be great as well- allowing for both parties (the ones that want base building and the ones who want achievement grinding) to be entertained and engaged in your episodes.

I swear in the past three months every minecraft youtuber drained a monument in their hardcore world, I saw about 12 videos all pop up one after the other. I miss when fWhip took a more laid back approach with his let's play series, sometimes I'd rather see six or seven episodes building a dwarven city than one episode that took fifty hours to make. Feels more special and informative. But I’m not here to tell the man what he can and can’t do on his channel. Sadly TH-cam only cares about the grind.
I get that it's not viable anymore but I'm sad that these can't be edited videos on the main channel. I'm interested in a lot of these series but I just don't have time to sit through hours VODs

On the let's play content, there is another type of let's play people still watch. You forgot if you have the longest running let's play such as Etho with his let's play still running from Beta with only 1 world change at the full release of minecraft. Sitting at over 500 episodes.
I actually like watching you base building. They're usually chill episodes which I like.

And also, sorry man, but I’m loving that people can’t adjust the gamma. It would’ve been a huge bummer to see people bypassing the entire point of the Deep Dark and the literal Darkness effect by bumping up the gamma.
It never made sense to me for a lot of reasons, I used to get tired of watching people play with no darkness or shadows all the time, unless it was already outside of vanilla stuff, like if someone had texture packs and/or mods that it fit in with. Sorry about your gamma man, but personally I’m loving that I can watch y’all play mc the way mine looks with normal lighting
Yeah, I totally felt the same way. What about increasing the in game gamma just to make it slightly better for youtube without going fullbright?
Agreed. I love both the Captain & PaulGG except for the fact the both ran with their gamma so high that except for the appearance of mobs you couldn’t tell it was night & caves were like daylight! Which IMO ruins some of the major aspects of the gameplay. At least most of the other creators I watch who adjusted their gamma still had it so you could tell when it was dark but still see fairly well without torches. But I personally prefer creators to not adjust gamma beyond the limit of normal settings & to light things up with torches as intended. It adds so much to the gameplay IMO.
Honestly, I'm a fan of having high gamma for TH-cam. I wish there was a "TH-cam" setting where it still had the ambiance but just brought up the gamma enough to appear good in a TH-cam video.

I find the talk about TH-cam kind of funny, how everything is all Hardcore Minecraft these days. I have no interest in Hardcore Minecraft. I've thought about starting a channel, if I had more time, and if I did I'd probably have KeepInventory on and be super not-hardcore. haha
I really hope he spends 3 episodes base building on this thing and I hope he doesn’t just focus on completing the advancements

I literally started unsubscribing from TH-camrs I like cause they would just name their video "WOW THIS IS CRAZY??" with no indication of what the video is about. And a lot of people do that with their series that people are trying to follow? It's just really annoying.

With the whole Cap VS an army of Kindergarteners, we'd have to account for a lot of factors, but it COULD be figured out.
We'd need to know the strength, durability, and stamina of the Captain, as well as averages for all of those for the Kinders.
On top of that, we'd have to know the aggression of each side. Are the kids going full force? Is Jordan actually using his full strength on them? If Jordan were to hold back and not hit them as hard, they'd have the upper hand and could very easily overwhelm him. If he were to go full force, the kids would be intimidated and most if not all would concede.
Not assuming both sides go full force, the battle is decided based on who is more willing to fight.

You should probably make a Nice little Base in the Nether so that you have a Spot to Drop off any Piglin Trades or things like that. Maybe build it out of Diorite and/or Andesite along with the Basalt, Blackstone, Netherrack, and all Blocks in the Nether.

- *Does Anyone* know if there is a way to reset the advancements for each new world in Bedrock? Specifically Bedrock for Nintendo switch…as it has some differences from Bedrock for consoles & especially from the computer version.
-BC I truly hate that on Bedrock edition for the Nintendo Switch advancements carry over from one world gen to the next for the *entire time* you use the same profile. So once u complete an advancement *once* that’s it…unless u create an entirely new profile each time. Which a profile can easily be linked across the Switch, various consoles & I’d imagine the PC Bedrock version as well. Thus why I actually have advancements listed as having been completed like 6+yrs ago! 😕 It sucks bc I think the advancements help give u something else to work towards beyond simply beating the dragon, wither, elder guardians and besides building. While I do love building…you need a break sometimes. And picking a couple advancements to work towards achieving is a great change of pace. I still do so by working off of a note pad on my phone listing all of the advancements but…seeing it marked as completed in game is far more rewarding IMO.🤷🏻♀️😕
I truly don’t understand why(to my knowledge)the creators of MineCraft haven’t fixed this difference between versions. Although…I guess *if* they *have* fixed it on console & PC edition then it’s just on the Switch version which isn’t super high priority for them.😒Which sucks considering it the only way I can play at the moment. And due to the extreme price hikes for gas, groceries, virtually *everything* ….me & my husband ended up being forced to dip into the money we’ve been TRYING to save for at least 1 high quality gaming PC(but preferably 2).😕 Especially since our one & only vehicle decided that *NOW* is the perfect time to start needing various parts replaced!🙄😒Nothing extremely major & nothing my hubs & FIL can’t replace…so far. However the price of vehicle parts has become even more insane than before & god forbid it has to be special ordered bc it will be weeks to *months* before it arrives!!

I think if you do a huge series you should have it be multiplayer. And maybe modded. I feel like people want some type of twist so it’s more interesting. You said your not good at making mega projects I used to be the same you just gotta do slightly bigger things each time. And you get better.
Please base build and take your time. If they don’t want to watch they can just do TH-cam 2x speed. It’s refreshing to just vibe and chill out versus the new speedrun/make everything as difficult as possible meta. Good throw back to the OG letsplays

I tried getting the advancement with all wool colors on my playstation and it's bugged out. I have every color, I held them all in my inventory dropped and repicked up held all in hand and it won't give it to me

like, pretty sure half people making those mega builds with high view count, don't really know what they are doing either. they are probably following a tutorial, or multiple tutorials. In 1.18+, you can right click with shears to stop vines from growing. You don't need string.
Doesn't work on normal vines (only cave vines, weeping vines, twisting vines and kelp) I checked the wiki, but thanks for reminding me of this, I forgot about it

Possibly the contrast of having shadows and it being a little dark at night are part of the game and intentional? Like imagine watching FNAF or Phasmiphobia and being like "it's too dark".

Well, I've worked with those kinds of kids before, and it really depends on who you're getting. I know three VERY violent kinders who could easily take an adult down if they tried, and worked together
I've seen one of them lift up a chair and chuck it like a paper weight.
But not all kindergarteners are created equal, of course, so it really depends on who they'd be fighting-
