everytime I watch your videos I learn very useful new words and I encounter them a lot while watching russian tv shows, for example I've recently learned the verb "жду не дождусь" ("I'm looking forward to"), I have been hearing it a lot, thanks a lot and please keep doing the great job!

If one is один why do people say раз два три when they count

Раз - a synonym for the word один

But there is an expression - один раз. Here the word "раз" means single action.

When we count, it's more of "one time, two times, three times..." and раз means "one time".
