TO DISABLE ANC FOR GOOD - GREEN PLUG / WHITE PLUG BEHIND GLOVE BOX - You tapped white for the speakers. Green has the blue/violet ANC WIRE- CUT IT & BE DONE - Unplugging ALL the mic's in the headliner does not work entirely. GODSWORK FELLAS!
@OverwatchSIX nice! Unplugging it worked for both my Trax, but I've heard others saying it didn't for them. Your option seems a heck of a lot easier than unplugging all the mics. Good looking out!
I would really like to see exactly which wires you tapped into at the stereo end. I've never done this and would really like to see which ones you used and how you did it. Possible? Thanks for the vid!
@guyreviewer105 yeah, I may do that next go, but your dealership can disable thru the obd2 without going thru the hassle of disconnecting all 3 mics in the headliner.
@julioortiz6715 take it to the dealer to disable. I did upload a video on how I removed mine, but I wouldn't recommend it if you want to keep warranty or to prevent damages.
I went thru the firewall grommet. Below the cluster of wires their's a nipple you can cut off then you have to cut off the other side under the dash. It took a little lube but I pulled 1/0 thru😂
It's amazing the attention to detail in this car. In the boot, beside the spare tire are two posts that seem they were put there just for a ground to an aftermarket amp! Maybe a qualified tech will tell me I am wrong. LOL.
@@hino121212 thanks! My 2021 Silverado has those ports I thought were for talking, maybe they are but I never disconnected anything and it works great, could be a completely new thing on the trax now
@maxostapchuk5416 yeah, it was a first for me too, and it scared me half to death when I first started the car up after the install. Many of the newer Chevys, like the blazer, have it too.
@@hino121212 I am just thinking that the microphone is listening for low rumbling road and engine noise so it can cancel it out. On the flip side, a bass note can also be called a low rumbling noise by grandparents. LOL.
Hi thanks for the video, can you tell me if disconnecting the ANC pop an alert on the dashboard? Also my issue is only when the door is close and the engine started then I start to hear the noise of the engine feedback in my sub and speakers.. does it related to the ANC?
Also, I'm not sure why you're getting that feedback. I was told it does pertain to the ANC but I haven't looked into it much. I've heard you can ask the dealer to disable the feature altogether - not sure if that would do it.
Can you please send a pic of which fuse you tapped into for the remote . I did the install and having issues with my amp randomly turning on and subs making noises when car is off .
@TheDanielTruong no they're not. Honestly, once you do a basic replacement and add a sub, I don't find the desire to amplify the doors. Sounds great as-is. You don't run wires, you use the existing wires. You would have to cut the wires run the ones closest to the stereo to your LOC, then run from the LOC to the cables that lead out the speakers. No need to run cables that are already in place unless you were getting serious and need bigger wires
The ANC microphone is located only above the dirver side? Only one mic? Can’t believe I’ve cancelled full installation because of one little microphone 🤯🤦♂️🤦♂️
I have a 1RS. There are THREE mics. One beside the driver. One beside the front passenger and one between the rear passengers just behind the dome light.
@Pench07 I know this comment was made a long time ago but don't let the ANC deter you from the install. It's very easy for a dealer to disable. Takes 15 min, if that. I just disconnected them because my dealership is a bit of a drive to get to.
@fireman6x9 there's a safety lock ( a white tab) that you have to pull out before you can depress the clip release. It's exactly where you would depress the clip release but recessed in to prevent you from pushing down on it.

Thanks for making the video although a part of me wished you shone a light into the ANC connector! Take care.

@guyreviewer105 I uploaded a video on this just now on how I did mine, but I still would recommend taking it to the dealer to disable.
Great video, saved me a ton of time!
Hello, could you upload a video explaining how to disconnect the ANC connector, I would greatly appreciate it.

If only they'd put RCAs out on the headunit...
hey man could you make a quick video on which wires in the speaker unit you connected your RCA to? It would be very helpful! thank you
I can do that. I'll try to knock it out tomorrow if not by the end of the week.
Did you ever make a video on what wires you tapped in to for the radio?
@eatdemons7736 check out the last few seconds of this video. I added a photo of which wires I tapped into (front 2 doors)
Which cable did you connect I don’t know ?
What’s the reason for disconnecting the active noise control?
It produces a signal to your speakers that the sub picks up. It's loud and annoying

@@rylee.milligan1695 i used one in my fusebox underneath the dash on the drivers side. Fuse 8: HSWM. I believe that's my Heated Steering wheel.

you know on the box for the amp it says not to mount it to the sub box
Yeah, I'm aware. I'm sure it may damage it, but I've always done it like this and never had issues. Willing to take the risk at my own expense.
@bigmoneypp1640 not bragging - just for info puposes... everything is still working.
for the roof noise canceling thing is there only one wire on the driver side I can’t find the backseat passenger seat ones
@sampplerl8774 There are 3 mics. Drivers, passengers, and rear seats just behind the dome lights. I posted another video on that, so check my uploads.

Eventually found it, thanks for the video and the reply. Finally finished installing a Rockford Fosgate P300-12T.
@fireman6x9 nice! My 8" sounds way better than I anticipated, so I can only imagine how good your setup kicks.
