Really weird to see you driving around my backyard and even stopping at the EXACT petrol pump I use, at Bardon Mill. In fact, you could (had you known) have shaved off at least three or four miles in getting back to your tent from the petrol station, if you had turned right at the Melkridge dip and gone up the steep hill there. Easy when local, of course. I loved seeing this set of Northumbria rides, because I have been toddling around all of these roads for fifty years.
Its good to know there's more in reserve than you think , and you've set a good marker for those who have fuel anxiety as soon as they see the F mode light up ! The most I've travelled before I've found a fuel station is a paltry thirty miles, I was thinking I'm going to end up pushing this bugger , but there was obviously loads left in it! 😅 Cheers Mel
There’s a pay at the pump in Kielder down from the Castle on the main road! To the right as you come to the main road. Nice videos though 👍🏻 I live at the A68 end of the forest drive 😎
That's yet another enjoyable run, Dave; those roads look really nice. The muppet in the car was probably on his/her mobile... Fuel warning lights have the effect of causing premature anxiety. Mine came on during my last ride and, as it was the first time it had happened, I had no idea of the real available range as I haven't had the bike (Guzzi 750) very long. I dived into the nearest gas station and discoverd that there'd been at least a third of the tank left! Still, better safe than sorry. 👍
The fuel anxiety would have been unbearable for me!😱 . This is the one area where modern technology can help, advising where facilities such as fuel stations are located. Great scenery up there.👍
Wow! 75 miles on the ‘warning’ light is just a bit too scary. I’ve not taken my Hunter, also a 13litre tank, past 198 in total although I guess it could do quite a few more. Glad you made it!

Hi, I will remember that for when I come up again later in the year.
Ride safe, Dave

Just think about fuel anxiety when 'They' start closing petrol stations as yet another move to get of the roads.
If you don’t already know 13 ltr tank that fill up gave something in the region of 110 mpg NIIICE🎉

nice ride, nice roads. I too, suffer from fuel anxiety when I think I'm starting to get low.
Fuel anxiety starts as soon as it's half :-)
