Lovely to be reminded of those last days of summer 2023. How different now, with the current weather. Sad that Ivy will no longer take you along these lovely lanes.
Dave, only another RE 350 classic will bring you again those experiences Ivy gave. I´d heard you in every Ivy´s chapter, and I´ve found a proud and delighted owner of that bike. Well, get more pleasure with another like Ivy!! From Argentine, my best wishes for you. Sincerely.
Thanks dave for putting this video on .. hope you get a new bike soon and carry on you brilliant video .. I feel sadden to think my bike could get taken funny about motorbike seem to get a connection like its a member of the family.
You live in such an interesting beautiful place every time I watch one of your videos I want to fly over and ride with you The countryside is so cool the little narrow roads You are blessed
A healthy ride that Dave really enjoyed it I was having a cuppa at Route 59 myself yesterday the afternoon soon seemed to draw in as it does at this time of year. Watching your vid makes my wife and I sickened even more about what happened to Ivy we hope you are OK and will get sorted out one way or another soon although Ivy I am sure will be difficult to replace. Martin
Nice ride out thanks ... a bit familiar was there 20 years ago visiting my Grandmother in Bingley whose since passed ...looking fwd to more of these videos
Good onya Dave, a nice ride that! I sincerely hope that you can be back on the road again soon, either with Ivy or her sister. By the way, don't wish for too much warmth to ride in; we had 36C here yesterday and 37C today... That's a tad too warm for comfort. Could be worse though; last year I had to ride my daughter's new 250 cc acquisition the 100 km up the freeway to home, in 42C heat!
Hi Chris, that is warm! I definitely wouldn't need my heated jacket. The insurance company will be collecting the bike next week from the police compound. They say if it's a total loss I should get paid out in about 10 days. Good news is there are enough videos of Ivy to last until almost Christmas. I planned a long time ago that I would put put my trip to Northumbria and Hadrian Wall up over Christmas and the New Year, so more Ivy to look forward to. Then it will be more adventured on a new bike. Ride safe mate, Dave
Yes, just a little warm, Dave. A heated jacket? Erm, no; would have been a bit superflous. 😁 I actually had a frozen ice-brick inside my jacket. That helped to keep me cool, plus a stop at the roadside for a drink of water from a bottle alongside the ice. Dehydration's a real issue. Glad to hear that Ivy's been recovered, whatever the outcome of the insurance assessment. Hopefully you'll be back in the saddle soon, one way or the other. Until then, you've got the video situation covered. 👍
Thanks Dave, a very enjoyable ride. I'll take this as a sign you're starting to get over your loss and hopefully you'll be back out on the road again soon. Cheers, Mick
A nice little bumble. That’s much like my riding philosophy, through great scenery between cafes. Can’t beat it. How is the progress going with the Police/ Insurance on Ivy’s tragic theft?
Great video dave. Have the Police any idea who stole the bike and l was wondering could a GPS ANTI Theft DEVICE help Police find a motorcycle . Will you be fitting a GPS Device to your new bike. I'm currently considering 🤔 putting one on my bike. Any advice welcome 🙏
A nice bible in the countryside is good for the soul much better than a burn up down a motorway. I have a Meteor 350 and it is my favourite bike.
When you are retired you will be surprised by the amount of riding you will do because of all your free time. You will love it.

Well done Dave,
Thanks Jeff, it was hard to make it, but glad I did. Ride safe mate, Dave

When you get your shed put electrified fence around 240 volts.
750 volts would be better....
Awful to think you haven't got this bike now, lovely video but also very sad, all the best mate i hope your ok.

Initially I thought great he’s got Ivy back, oh well I’m glad to see this new ride out and hope you get sorted with another bike or get Ivy back.
