Thank you so much for explaining this. I have gone to the hardware store several times and taking my old hinge with me and still don’t have the right hinge. I think maybe now I know what I’m looking for, thanks to you❤ great explanation
Thanks a million for this video. We have a double demountable hinge. We had to make 5 new doors and are now looking for someone to make a slot in the door for us. Any idea who can do that for me?
I have these hinges and want to switch to concealed soft close hinges. Would you have advice on how to go about closing the door and cabinet slits/blanks in order to install a new type of hinge?
You can find the proper router bit at this link: www.wwhardware.com/catalog/product/view/id/2940/s/amerock-demountable-hinge-face-frame-and-door-cutter-router-bits-awm5/
How do you adjust the double demountable hinges? Researching the internet reveals these hinges are adjustable but nowhere does it show you how to adjust. I have contacted Amerock a couple of times but have not gotten a reply. Please help. I had my cabinets professionally painted but hinges were not marked prior to taking down. Now cabinets aren’t closing properly.

Do they still make a single demountable hinge with 3/8" overlay only?
As far as amerock goes, I'm only aware of the 1/4" and 1/2" overlay on the single demountable hinge. Your mileage may vary with other brands.
