A really concise review by the artist himself, whereas other youtube reviewers would probably stretch it to 20 minutes :) I guess that's why Dmitry's playing style is so impressive - he does not play unnecessary parts, everything has it's purpose in the composition. And this guy is also one of the main reasons why I am picking up the bass again at the age of 37. Bought a bass guitar a couple of times before in my life, but it was not as easy as guitar for me. But still, listening to musicians like Dmitry I have to admit that bass is the most beautifully sounding instrument. This time there's no turning back, I'm too old for that, gonna stick with what inspires me the most.

Hey Oskar, great to hear that! Thank you for your words! Keep playing bass, as it's never too late to start creating music and express your ideas. So in a way it's much better than a sport, where you will have physical limitations after certain age. Good luck !

Wow, thanks for a reply! You are right, I had a serious injury which prevented me from any physical activity for almost a year, and now my career in sports is over forever. But the music will always be there to help. Thanks for inspiration, you really were the first bass player (with first albums of Karmafree) who made me notice how versatile the bass guitar can be. Now I'm so obsessed that 90% of music I'm listening to are the solo bass players...

Oskars Arbidans yes, bass playing can be cool and very versatile, and it's also great instrument to play for your enjoyment, just at home for fun or with your friends. That's the joy of music, not to be professional, but to experience the moment. I hope your injury is over and doesn't influence your playing, if you any advice on how to practice or any bass learning related stuff jsut PM me, here, on fb or email, I will be happy to help you.

Thank you, that would be amazing! On your website I saw that you are providing the Skype lessons. Sooner or later I'n going to need some refinement for what I've learned on my own, then it would be great to get some help from you, because I think first of all you are a great songwriter. There are many technical guys who can shred through the scales, but learning is better from a real musician.

Cool! Any info on the type of microphone and magnetic pickup? I saw one can buy a Lace acoustic bass pickup (same as on the Godin A4). But for a bass with a central soundhole one could maybe even get an in-hole magnetic bar pickup. Is an acoustic guitar mic good? or maybe a microphone made for a Cajon?

Hello Felipe, there are no German Aliens, all of them made in China, 3 different price levels

I'm not terribly impressed that this instrument is over 3K and made in China. Like WTF is that all about??
