This is interesting; I never heard of this. Sometimes I think I should get a Taiwan passport but haven't taken the steps toward getting one. Great video!
I had a previous video where I discussed the benefits of the Gold Card, but If you are eligible for a taiwan passport then in most cases that is a better option.
If you're proving with income, then a w-2 is by far the best method. There have been examples of applicants successfully using employment letters to prove the income for new jobs, or paystubs for employment in the past year. Having a large amount of savings is not useful for the gold card, however there are investment, entrepreneur, and business visa options for someone with available capital to move to Taiwan.
*Disclaimer* : I am not a tax professional and this is not tax advice. Simple answer is no. The tax benefit of the Gold Card, if that is what you are referring to, does not exempt all taxes entirely, it is just a break on a portion of your taxes (earnings over 1.5M NT I believe) Obviously, a more complete answer of your actual tax picture depends more on your situation...whether you are a US citizen, whether or not you are spending 183+ days in Taiwan, and, ummm...what income you self-report.
Hi sir can I ask any idea I have Nepaly boyfriend he is chef but don’t have enough money and he like to come here and taiwan and find a job what. We Ganna do THANKYOU for reply

How do I prove my income? USA W-2? Can I show bank accounts with more than a million dollars in cash and stock indexes?

Is income earned (salary) from a USA based company (no taiwan presence) exempt from tax for three years?

I’m sorry I do not have any recommendations. Good luck to you both!
