Firewalking Journey
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 20 พ.ย. 2019
I am an investor, urbanist and former musician.
Through Glocal Network, a US-based investment firm that I founded with my wife, I sourced and syndicated 50+ RE deals, including a seller-financed 18,000 sq ft retail center that was cash flow positive on day 1, and oversaw more than $5 Million in deployed capital. We built a distributed team from the ground up to 1M+ net asset [asset - debt] in less than 3 years and as of this writing (November 2020) we have invested in six startups through debt or equity, either directly or through startup syndicates and funds.
I have long had a passion for cities and urban planning, and am honored to be a Next City Vanguard Scholar.
I'll share my thoughts on this channel regarding investing (mostly real estate and early-stage companies) and cities.

De Rantau Nomad Pass // Bank Account Update
มุมมอง 582ปีที่แล้ว
A couple members of the De Rantau Nomad Pass community have successfully opened Malaysian bank accounts, one at CIMB Bank and one at Maybank. As the banks become more familiar with the De Rantau visa and program, hopefully the process will get much easier. So far it is only a small bit of progress, but progress is good. Taiwan Will Pay You To Visit??
มุมมอง 391ปีที่แล้ว
Taiwan and Hong Kong are offering free stuff to get you to come visit and boost the recovery of their tourism sectors after years of closed borders due to the pandemic. Taiwan is offering 5000 TWD vouchers (details to be determined) as well as buy one get one high speed rail tickets (currently available) and free sightseeing bus tours (available in mid-March). Hong Kong is giving away 500,000 f...
Malaysia's DE Rantau Nomad Pass // Is It Worth It??

In this video I share my thoughts about Malaysia's DE Rantau Nomad Pass, the first digital nomad pass in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan all currently offer visas that can be useful for digital nomads, and they are developing programs exclusively targeting digital nomads that will hopefully be unveiled soon) It's been available for over 4 months now, but the first recipients only...
Taiwan's Digital Nomad Visa Coming Soon
มุมมอง 277ปีที่แล้ว
Taiwan is seeking to launch a digital nomad visa as part of its Gold Card program. They will be adding a "digital" category overseen by the Ministry of Digital Affairs to attract professionals in the digital economy-related industries. The initial plan does not look like the typical digital nomad visas that other countries offer, but the exact details may change by the time this launches in Tai...
Sabah Malaysia MM2H Program Details Revealed (Unofficially)
มุมมอง 2.9Kปีที่แล้ว
This visa is only for living long term in Sabah, so if you were hoping for a backdoor into the rest of Malaysia, unfortunately this won't cut it. Aside from that, the terms seem to be fairly reasonable although we've yet to confirm officially what they are. I personally prefer to wait and confirm everything, but when it comes to Malaysia who knows how long that will take so here's what we know ...
Sarawak MM2H Update // December 2022
มุมมอง 3.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Some of you may have heard the rumor that the Sarawak MM2H visa will no longer allow you to live outside of Sarawak. Well, indeed it is true that a few recent recipients received acceptance letters from the department of immigration stating as much. However, the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism did not approve of this change and is working to settle this discrepancy with all the SMM2H stakeholders. ...

Update on the Taiwan Gold Card and Our Move to Taiwan
Currently sitting overlooking the Sarawak River in Kuching. Doing our first 30 days visa requirement. Great place, more to do here than we first thought. Lovely friendly local people - smiling waving and welcoming us to Sarawak or Malaysia. Different world down here! Happy New Year!
I had a 30Kwh early LEAF , an ex Demo model, It managed around 95 miles . I traded it after a few maonths for a new Gen 2 LEAF , then after about 50k miles trade for a new 2.zero LEAF with 40 kwh battery, Six years later we still ahve that car , It has just passed the MOT test at 97k miles, It still has a range of over 120 miles. My other LEAF is now 2 years old , I have owned it from new. It has just coming up to 50k miles, with a range of 198 miles in the cold, in the rain and dark whilst driven at 7omph into a near gale head wind. . I'm looking forward to seeing the full specs for the New LEAf due out soon.
Wow! This is the only place online where you can see this
I have in Malaysia on digital nomad visa, I have visited Maybank and CIMB banks but unable to open account, they told me only students or people working with Malaysian company can get account. Can you please specify the branches that were reported to provide bank account to Nomads? Thanks
I think it has been mentioned here... Today's Star article... Sarawak & Sabah alignment... KOTA KINABALU: Sabah and Sarawak are set to align the terms and conditions of their Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme, according to Datuk Christina Liew. The State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister announced that she would soon meet with Sarawak's Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister, Datuk Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, to harmonise the programme details. “We aim to reach an agreement on key aspects such as deposit requirements for programme participation,” Liew said, addressing delegates at the Welcome Banquet for the 7th Global Longchuan Association Fellowship Conference and Longchuan Industrial Development Investment Promotion Conference on Saturday (Sept 7). In another development, Liew highlighted that Malaysian tour and travel agents are currently promoting tours to China at the ongoing Matta (Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents) Fair in Kuala Lumpur. “The Fair has set a new record in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) with 1,590 exhibition booths, the largest ever.” Some 500 delegates from China, including Longchuan County leaders and officials, as well as representatives from Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, West Malaysia and Sarawak, attended the banquet hosted by the state ministry at the Pacific Sutera Hotel. “We warmly welcome our Longchuan friends from around the world to Kota Kinabalu. We hope you will take the opportunity to explore our beautiful islands, enjoy our fresh seafood and experience our local culture,” Liew said. StarPicks How flexibility is turning gig workers into economic game changers “If you can’t visit this time, we look forward to welcoming you next year.” She congratulated the organisers for hosting the conference outside China for the first time, co-organised by the Federation of Malaysia Longchuan Association and the United Sabah Longchuan Association. “This event is particularly significant as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China,” she added.
The Leaf is not suited for Miami temperature, thats it
I live in Norway, have the identical car, and still have 10 out of 12 bars
The heat in Miami is poison for the air-cooled Leaf battery causing it to degrade horribly fast..
When the Leaf tells you that you are absolutely empty, there is still 10 - 15% left.
Is it hard to apply
No, very easy if you have the income or savings, and a clean criminal record - also, able to pass a short medical.
Recent interview - MOTAC minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing - "Despite claims that foreigners were more interested in Sarawak’s MM2H due to its less stringent conditions, which some perceived as a “loophole”, Tiong said applicants who get approval for the Sarawak MM2H were allowed to stay and travel in Peninsular Malaysia. “Motac does not consider this a loophole but rather an opportunity for the Federal Government to further promote the advantages of the federal version of MM2H to them,” he added.
Indeed. The view from Aramaz and other folks I spoke to is that there isn't likely to be any mechanism implemented to prevent SMM2H holders from spending any set amount of time in West Malaysia.
@@FirewalkingJourney Yes - I spoke to them when we applied in Kuching. We intend to stay in Kuching, Penang and currently have residency in Portugal - so, we'll be fine! Aramaz contacted us - it looks like we'll be travelling to pick up our visa sooner than expected - if all goes well. We're very excited!! Looking forward to your update info video.
We applied in March this year. Met with Tereasa and Jonathan - very professional. Bank account and medical completed. Hoping for good news later this year.
That's great to hear. Good luck! Winston said they're seeing approx 8 months timelines from start to finish.
@@FirewalkingJourney Thank you for the valuable information! Yes, a nice Christmas present for us! Have a great day! From Portugal.
@@FirewalkingJourney, we received our approval today in just less than 5 months!
@@tinglestingles amazing, congrats!
@@FirewalkingJourney There are rumours that the fixed deposit is increasing from 300k to 500kMYR - I'm assuming this is the change you mentioned?
Very good videos thanks for sharing
Hello sir can i get your contact number please
He just got too greedy
Thanks coffezilla
These poor folks 😭
Huge grahm fan, and i cant believe he removed his video and is not talking...looks like hes lawyering up instead of making an apology im not blaming him for what happened but a little apology is all we ask.

Haha this is crazy. I haven’t checked this channel in about a year so just getting caught up on the news. No worries I have my video saved offline and in the cloud.

It’s backed up!
Soo what happened to Capway bank you invested in Firewalking Journey?
Looks like they’ve shut down in the past year. It’s a shame, and we lost a little bit of money, but at least I don’t think they screwed over any customers.
Here for Graham disaster
This video is gonna go up in views in the next days
😂😂
Who’s here because of Coffezilla’s video on graham’s “Bank”
It's funny that he deleted the video
@@TheCj71984when did he delete it?

Anyone else hanging in here cause Graham deleted his videos? lmao!
Yep, I remember watching his" I bought a bank" video. Tried looking for it today and this is the only thing I could find
Possibly the only available re-upload of the original video
The original 'disappeared' hahaha
Oh great
Can anyone reupload the original “I bought a bank”? Coffeezilla is doing God’s work
Coffeezilla is doing the government’s work
I’ve never made 5000$ a month tho. Any other similar alternatives if I teach english online and earn like 1500-2000?
Why don't you upgrade the battery
I think I would do that now if I still had the car
just wondering about proof of income, is this a requirement ?
It probably will be. Can’t believe they still haven’t officially launched
60.000 a year 😂😂😂😂😂
i just got swapped the battery with 62KW with our 2011 leaf. it is back to live. 430 Km with single charge. we are so happy with the car all those years, we have her since 2010 August. it is at 310,000km , still runs great. tons of money saved up from not only gas. i would consider to buy old leaf and find a cheap - reasonable battery swapt and you are good to go. you don't need to spend 50K -90K to have EV. Prices are insane.
Awesome to hear about your great experience! I think this is a fine option these days
Thanks for the update very helpful
Lol...great video! We just bought a 2017 Leaf SV...still has battery warranty until May 2025 and still 45,000 km left before the 160,000 km. It is to replace our Toyota Rav4, our main vehicle is an Ioniq5 so we are now all electric. Leaf for basic running around, Ioniq5 for travel and longer trips. We just completed a 14,648 km trip over 6 weeks with the Ioniq5 and it was fantastic. Your point about driving EV being addictive is absolutely correct! We love it! Cheers Mike and Ally 🇨🇦

Hello, please help. Should I get a 5 bar Nissan leaf? I drive 5 miles to get to work and 10 miles to go out. Please let me know. It costs 3500
If that's all the driving you do, then it should be fine. I would test drive it first and see. You won't get much more than that with only 5 bars.
Hell yeah that's a free car basically lol
Does Malaysia's digital nomad visa offer temporary Residence permit or anything similar?
I waited and bought a 2014 Leaf. It has over 120,000 miles and still has 9 battery bars. They are great for local travel. There are quite a few in my area. I think they can still be an inexpensive entry EV. You just have to know what you are looking for.
So I’ve read the qualifications on the Taiwan gold card informational website and it seems all the paths to getting the gold visa require that you exceed the $160,000 NT monthly salary AND have a written guarantee of employment with a Taiwan company. Is that now the only method to get the gold visa? Can someone who meets the $160,000 NT monthly salary qualify for the visa without a written offer of employment within the ROC?
did you have to prove an income to get the gold card?
