You prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my brother lately xD
One thing i love about the resistance games is that no matter how big the enemy is, the moment you shoot em in the head with a sniper, they go down in 1 shot. not that multiple bullets to the head nonsense.
God I m so sad that this game went so down hill. I so much enjoyed the coop missions and was looking forward to res3 with all of it classes different classes ( sold, med, spec op) to find out years later they decided to completely cut the game mode GRRRRR
this is a poorly done game movie, as someone who has never played this series of games I am finding an extreme lack of continuity from one thing happening to another. It feels like a lot of content was cut in order to shorten the video or maybe Resistance 2 just has a lot of plot gaps, idk.
I cut out huge portions, because these were just shooting sections, so that this movie would not be eight hours long or something. If the story has plot gaps, then that's because the game's writers did a poor job
There is so much happening without an explanation. I found the first Resistance Fall of Man to have a great story, in this Resistance 2 I am having a damn hard time following along with what is happening and more importantly why it's happening. But yeah, probably just shit writing. I appreciate your effort making this video either way though.
Anson Berkey It's not the uploader's fault, there's a lot of stuff skipped over, or only mentioned in passing. If you read the in game intel and the comics/novelizations you get a better view of it, but for regular players who just play the main games, the plot feels *very* rushed. It sucks, because R2's story is awesome, it's just not portrayed well.
So far this series isn't holding my interest much. After watching over 2 hours of story from game 1, and 1h45m of game 2, all the story so far is from game 1 and it's about some sort of infection that turns humans into the same types of zombie+insane super slaughterer drones as one would encounter in the Gears of War series, with a suitably cookie cutter overly arrogant "we are the evolutionary future" bad guy from...well, lots of games, but just like GoW. Still waiting for the unique story twist and/or anything beyond something wanting to kill humanity and there being a hero/anti-hero infected-but-takes-longer-than-anyone-else-to-turn tough guy. I also have zero idea what function the fact that this series is set in the 1940s/50s serves, especially if the weapons, tech, and jargon all human characters employ the whole time might as well be from 2008-the present, and no explanation is given as to how/why that is.
The Chimera aren't just an infection, only the foot soldiers like the hybrids and grims are, the rest are sorta an impure recreation of genuinely "pure" Chimera using biomass of whatever they can get there hands on, be it people or animals, thus the reason for the name "Chimera". They're far more in line with something like the Zerg if they adopted technology rather than GoW enemies. As for the comparison to Gears of War, these games came out extremely close to each other so, so they're just a product of the time more than anything else, same with the super soldier gimmick, that was a shockingly overpopulated idea. The improved, pseudo-futuristic human tech is only present in the second game as a result of humanity reverse engineering Chimeran tech to improve our own, the human weapons in the first game are pretty realistic to the times save for a few "secret prototype" human weapons. Honestly I found the gimmick of grounded, rustic, tried and true traditional weapons and some experimental military hardware vs. cold, slick futuristic alien weapons and feral attack dogs to be my favorite aspect of these games. As for the characters mannerisms I'll give you that one, they definitely skimped out on making them feel timely.
@@GenericProtagonist7 they actually reverse engineered the grey-tech, which is from another alien race thats more advanced than the chimera, which is why grey tech is so important to chimera in this game. as for comparisons i think the chimera is very influenced by half-life 2's combine, they both are a race thats hard to determine because all examples you see of them are a genetical mish-mash of several occupied races and they employ soldiers that are half human and half alien genetically, feral chimera are xen wildlife and headcrab zombies etc. also the first game was obviously going for an allied expeditionary force ww2 liberation of europe story, the second game could have continued this as you advance in european mainland but they decided to go with an america gets invaded story instead. the story of the 3rd game is pretty unique i would say.
The resistance games were some of my most beloved games as a kid, highly underrated
The online pve mode in this was so fun. The day the servers shut down my heart was broken man.
Cried at the end scene my first play through, Hale’s storyline was the best kept secret of its day. Resistance Campaign, best storyline ever.
Yea I'm super sad that the game was canceled and was announced that there will be no more resistance games it sucks and I'm sorry
