I played the hell out of the coop missions everyday until servers shutdown years ago. One of the most satisfying modes I've played in a video game. I still remember everyone doing the bridge glitch and then jumping onto the Chimeran dropship before it took everyone off the map.
I’ve played the coop in Resistance Fall of Man instead. My best friend and I had really enjoyed the game every single run we have played. Such a great memories I have in my heart thanks to Resistance!

My first time playing this had me thinking how did things get this bad. From the first stage until the end, Hale showed me that sometimes you gotta keep going even when time is almost out.
This was the first Resistance I played in the entire series. At first, I didn't know what Chimeras are, until I played Fall of Man and got hooked on this universe. Compared to the first, this one seems more direct to the action and almost without stopping. Like everything falls apart no matter what you do. I think that's what they showed us with Resistance 2: a desperate and ultimately futile fight against an implacable and invincible enemy (setting the stage for Resistance 3). I think we also see it in Hale's behavior: what he experienced in Fall of Man led him to the firm decision to fight with all his strength, because he knew that the Chimeras would stop at nothing. Even when the virus spreads in his body and he refuses treatment to stop it. He has no time, neither he or humanity to stop, for he knows that he has to do whatever is necessary for human survival. And when he succumbs at the end, he knows that he has done everything he can and given the world a chance to resist.
You summed up what I had always thought of a missed chance by the developers to tell a story in first person instead of third one like they had done with Fall of Man. In this particular case is obvious and you’re totally right. But I think the story could have been told much better than that. Even some spots are way too close and darker than the levels in the first game. Missed opportunity to discover iconic place broken by invasion like the previous game. Not to mention some gunplay choice I still disagree with. Still one of the best first person shooter experience though. I love Resistance franchise, and I wish Sony can bring this back to us with the modern technology. This game still shines even if it’s from 2008. Think about what can hit the shelves with a graphic like Insomniac Games delivers nowadays.

I know its definitely only going to help exclusively for playstation, but i really wish it would be for pc and xbox too. I remember i used to play resistance 2 all the time on my dads PlayStation and loved the online. Wish i could experience it all again
But the story concluded in Resistance 3. That and the former devs (Insomniac IIRC) said that they have no intention on continuing the series. Though i do admit it would be interesting to see how a new chimera invasion would be in a present day setting, moreover considering that they were invaded 50 or 60 years ago Either that or a reboot set in a contemporary setting. Either idea sounds interesting imo

Loved this game, so many cool moments & levels, running through suburbs blasting the horde types, the forest ambush & intro to THAT ENEMY, if you know you know, & ofcourse the Chicago level

Are this emulator good? From my experience using emulator CEMU was the most stable emulator I ever use it run perfectly even 30Fps on my pc. Because Xenoblade X I don't have Wii.......

Heck the Swarm, jeez i always hated that point of the Bryce Canyon mission. Even Chicago early stage with all the Grims spawning non-stop it's easier to pass... Still, loved the game for being such a gory fest and a massive sadness to never had the platinum for it... Insomniac really done a great job for a FPS series. Hope to see such style and brutality even for Wolverine
My favorite Resistance game. If it was on more modern systems and the multiplayer was still live, I'd still be playing the multiplayer to this day. I still regret never playing Medic.

About time this TH-cam learned how to take cover in this game damn also quit reloading when there is 3 bullets left in the mag empty the mag then reload your wasting ammo by reloading before its empty
I know it not a favorite series but will you be redoing all the borderlands games and i love these 10 years games it brings me back to games i love keep up the good work bro

Currently replaying 1 and 2 on rcps3 emulator it's running at 60fps and plays just fine
