- Crysis 2 full game movie: cutscenes and gameplay from Crytek's 2011 game edited together for a cinematic experience.
I've included all cutscenes and most of the in-game dialogue in order to present as much of the story and character moments as possible. Gameplay segments were edited in to improve flow and pacing and also wherever it was necessary to give context to the narrative.
All in-game footage was captured on PC at full-HD (1080p) resolution with all graphical settings at Ultra.

Story synopsis:
Three years after the events of Crysis and the discovery of the Ceph on Lingshan, New York City falls under siege by the aliens. Alcatraz, a Force Recon Marine mortally wounded by a Ceph assault, is given a second chance to complete his mission and defeat the aliens when he is given the state-of-the-art Nanosuit 2.0, an advanced combat exoskeleton reverse-engineered from Ceph technology.
90% of cut scenes in this game give me goose bumps. The unwinding chaos in the introductory news report? jesus
One of the first games to petrify me. Incredible story, gameplay and of course, graphics!
Too bad that there isn't any final boss. I agree with everything you said, but I hate it when games had no final boss. In crysis 1 there was the alien war ship, Crysis 3 had the Alpha Ceph, so was it so much to ask for a final boss in Crysis 2?

My thoughts exactly. At the end where you fight the cloaking ceph, I didn't take the cloak tracker module and decided to take my chances. I'm bad at fps but, it was pretty difficult. Not sure if it would be difficult for anyone else or not. I'd suggest trying that out if you still got Crysis 2.
story is meh, gameplay and graphics are awesome
One of the best immersive singleplayer games ive played.
After playing mostly old games, I hadn't played any games for quite a while. So when I did decide to start again, I bought a second hand R9 290OC and Crysis 2 in a sale.

I wish the Crysis universe was more deeply explored and expanded upon. Still an awesome series. It's obvious which franchise is more famous, but I'd love to see a Death Battle between Spartan II Master Chief and Nanosuit 2.0 Prophet

Gonna give it to master chief due to shield and limitless energy of fusion pack, but i cant really ignore the sophistication of nanosuit technology that is basically a semi-organic organism shaped like body armor. In my opinion if you solve the energy issue of nanosuit (like the end of crysis 3 by connecting with the hive mind) nanosuit could beat pretty much what spartan mjolnir armor could offer. Nanosuit is just too fast (0.08 ms reaction time), absurd regeneration capability both for the armor and the operator (due to the nanomachine), cloak, and very impressive computational capability; bypassing ODAA Loop and make operator have aimbot skill aiming pretty much.

+fyrestorme123 Oh, most of my videos are flagged for copyright. It's up to the individual rights holders to decide what happens to the videos once they are flagged. EA, for example, seems to have a standing policy of not blocking videos or playing ads as long as they aren't monetized. I'm basically reliant on friendly policies like that, because if copyright holders decide to block my videos, they are entirely within their rights and there's not anything I could do.

I am super late, I know. But Gamers Playground kept dicking around and generally sucks at fps, while my fave MKIceandFire hasn't done Crysis I believe. So thanks for releasing a actual good playthrough. Many wishes from the future

I don't like silent main characters. I think it's stupid and have never understood why they exist. To me it's like they said "Fuck it! The main character doesn't need to have a character! It's not like he isn't the main focus on the story or anything.He doesn't need to be interesting. It will save us some money to!"
***** I know that is a reason why games do that. I've heard of it, but the only thing I usually do is yell at the screen because the main character doesn't say anything when he is accused of some sort of
"heinous" act and my character says nothing to defend myself or when some other character does the talking for me cause I am too incompetent to think on my own. I am just one of the people who think it's stupid but I understand the master chief thing.
Agreed, a mute protagonist kinda makes it seem like the character is deaf. Also it's weird in certain situations.
Example: teammates "are you okay?"
Protagonist " ....."
Random teammate :" yeah he's fine "
Oros Abaddon Its all about execution, Half-life, system shock 2, and games as such really immerse the player into the role of the protagonist. In Half-life, it wasn't really the protagonist telling the story, but rather the story and situation that did it to him. Pick-ups, audio-logs, or even signs/omens that are in some areas of those games tell what happened there, as in system shock 2. It is only good if done right, and to be honest Crysis 2 did it pretty well, especially towards the end when prophet directly talks to Alcatraz. Although, having him "become" Prophet really makes it a waste of a potential character in the game really gives me a sour taste in my mouth.

Yes indeed. if you look closely at the face of the ceph that appears in that moment, you'll find a very strong resemblance to the mask that is worn by Teridax , the leader of the makuta.

OH MY GOD i seen them so many many times already and didnt notice a single time so far that it looks exactly like Teridax... that similarity is insane! especially since i had him myself in actual legos :D

Very well done! Fav game! You know, it would have taken you 1/4 the time to kill the final bosses if you stealth kill 3 of them and then JAW the 4th ;)
+Snoopy25 There's an even quicker method where you just run up to each one and repeatedly melee it, firing a couple shots from the K-Volt every few seconds to keep them in a stun-lock. It takes less than a minute to take all of them down (assuming they don't run away from you). BUT it looks absolutely ridiculous for a game movie.

Crysis 2 story was really entertaining. i had 3 playthroughs. Mostly because i played it on a 2011 APU first at 768p then upgraded to an i7 and 7950 and played this game at ultra with all mods lol. You can imagine why i played it 3 times. Crysis 3's multi is so fun!!

I found out as a little secret that you can fire the cannon in the first part of the game again and again.

Yes it did, what I wanted to say was the moment it hits the suit, there is an extreme force. Kind of like if you shoot a man who wears a bullet-proof vest, the bullet will not penetrate the vest but a bone or two will be broken because of the force.

Read Crysis Legion, by Peter Watts. Prophet's memories and personality were essentially fused with Alcatraz's, They go by the codename Prophet now, but it's really Alcatraz in there, though Crysis 3 hinted that most of his personality was damaged and archived.
Probably the best playthough of this game out there. Love the editing and gameplay

I had to stay up until 1:36am, I am very thirsty and hungry, I can barely keep my eyes open...

@51:11 Gould say "Dont shoot anyone on there" while hes holding a gun. Anyone else wonder why prophet didnt go the same way as Gould went? Gould got there faster and with less hassle. Yeah yeah I know its just a game but why not put some logic in as well?
