25:50 Moments like that (and especially the final argument between Psycho and Prophet and the end of the game) are why this game is probably my favorite in the series. There's a real sense of tragedy to this game that the others, while still excellent games, lack. And the music is what really sells it, the slow, dark use of piano here is really great.

In the game they say a lot of people got skinned from their nano suits but in the entire crysis timeline only 5 had nanosuits. Aztec and Jester died on lingshan, their suits were vaporized. Only Nomad and Psycho were left to get skinned. Prophet gave his suit to Alcatraz but then got it back. It's not confirmed whether Nomad is dead or alive or skinned. So only Psycho was skinned
Raptor Team weren't the only guys with nanosuits. In Warhead you meet Eagle Team, who were also equipped with nanosuits. Two Eagle Team members (Dane and Bandit) are seen at the beginning of this game rescuing Prophet.

I just watched six straight hours off epicness, this is ones of the best stories i ever had the pleasure of watching and briefly playing. DAmn just Epic.
I have to say, thank you so much for the effort you put into this video, it really shows. I don't know how, but, it feels like a story, not just a collection of clips (compared to most gameplay videos I've seen). I haven't played this game (probably never will, unless they port it to linux), so the fact that I understand everything that's going on is a testament to how well this was put together (haven't finished it yet though, only ~1h30 in). I really have no idea how you did it, and I definitely won't pretend I understand. All I have to say is, you did a fantastic job, it's very fun to watch, thank you again!
Wish people use silencer more in games where stealth is major part of it . Alot of cowboys go in gun blazing yes there's time for that but the game is not about that people rush so much when playing . Other than that grate video

This was a very good alien-shooter game with a pretty decent story. I had a problem with the story in Crysis 2 and how they handeled all that Alcatraz becomes Prophet nonsense. They should have just kept Prophet in the suit instead of doing that whole "i killed myself and now i put you in the suit but you ass don't matter anyway cuz we will delete your character at the end of this game and replace it with me because nano-suit-space-magic...". I liked the story in C3 much better and the main character had a voice again which made interacting with other NPCs a lot more enjoyable. I also liked the cheesy "blow the giant-ass alien space ship with a giant-ass lazor" ending. It felt right for a sci-fi FPS game :). TY so much for doing this movie. I really enjoyed it. :)
Because Alcatraz was pretty much already clinically death, so the suit have problem reconstructing his memory/personality. Unlike Prophet who at least got 2 years for the suit to make backup and scan his brain, it's long enough that the SECOND AI use his voice. True the idea is to merge all the two personality with small twist from the AI, but somehow Alcatraz personality got corrupted because this guy just dont want to live and continue fighting anymore. So the Suit consider the final solution was just to disable Alcatraz personality and lock it unusable.
In the game there are some nanosuit logs that you can read,(its like the suit is reporting stuff like enemy info and somethings like that)and one says that the suit detected another personality aka alcatraz
heheh probably not, they never really cleared that one up, or much of the reasoning behind skinning everyone with a nanosuit, but best guess is it was some kinda of power control shit lol
***** I say they skinned them because they were the biggest threat to them so the real question is how they captured all of those soldiers with nanosuits
This game got the female psyche almost perfect. (inflicts enough pain that super soldiers die from pain inflicted heart attacks) "BUT WHAT ABOUT MY FEELINGS?!?"
So, it basically stands to say that no actual human can ever defeat the ceph. In the end, it was just one huge mass of ceph technology combined with organic and digital data that took down the ceph. It just so happened that the organic data belonged to Alcatraz, and the digital data was the suit's information and Prophet's leftover personality and memories. And what's my point? It's fuck it! It's a great game, just play it, enjoy it, cry, moan, harder faster deeper, and get the fuck over it. :P
The point is the series is basically lovecraftian lite that everything ordinary human could do is pointless unless they become something more than they are. The game lore state that human are barely rated as ant compared to the Alien.
I am really liking it how you interact with the game, for example when Psycho ask Prophet does he like a bow you just nod off when he says no. Nice job in other 2 parts of the game.
What I don't get is how Cell managed to grow so big that they could replace the government. There are laws not allowing to have a single entity monopolize an important resource

one of my favorite games that I actually own. I finished it about 3 times (Ironic, huh?), and I enjoyed it every time, aside from some minor criticism. I also like the fact that, unlike Crysis 2, there actually IS a final boss.

The last few seconds I've definitely missed. That makes it even more possible for a 4th game to exist in the near future, with Laurence "Prophet" Barnes now a human-like machine. I suppose we'll be playing as Nomad once more.
There's no point, the Ceph on Earth have been totally vanquished, Cell would go bankrupt and be destroyed with a few weeks, Earth and its inhabitants would heal, recover and become awesome due to Ceph tech. But if the warrior caste Ceph turn up in the Solar System, the Earth and by extension all of Humanity is fucked and toast.
prophet is still able to use his suits abilities, well that is if he isn't wearing the suit if he is and its developed human skin mimicry(which would be fucking cool to use in a fourth game), he would be the ultimate soldier but like Sam fisher the government will somehow track him down and call upon his extreme badassery(don't quote me) to stop another ceph invasion and also developing the ability to control the ceph themselves would be on another skill tree meaning multiple skill trees( one for the suits original abilities, one for the mimicry abilities and another for the new alpha ceph abilities) which would mean you are able to stop the ceph from invading just as long as you manage to get all the ceph off the earth to get one of the six endings each focusing on what you did with your abilities(each tree has its separate end choice and final boss with a good choice ending and a bad choice ending) thats what i want in a crysis 4 where you can be your own facially customized character which will also be in the multiplayer.
If there is another Ceph Invasion, Earth would be orbitally bombarded and turned to scrap and dust. Because the Warrior Ceph wouldn't bother to put troops on the ground since the Alpha Ceph has been destroyed by Prophet. The Ceph in Crysis games we encountered were by definition all gardeners who were trying to save Earth's biota from Humans. Since they have all been wiped out, there is no point to again put boots on the ground for a 'Ceph invasion'. It wasn't even an invasion from their POV. Let's say a Warrior Mum and her dumbass boy are walking down their garden. The boy sees an anthill on a pot of his favorite flowers and starts observing and toying with it. Since he is still not mature, he starts killing off ants one by one to preserve it rather than put boric acid on their asses. One of the ants (Prophet ant) bites the boy and it initiates an allergic reaction in him which kills him on the spot. The boy's mum sees this and becomes pissed. What follows is the ant-hill getting mercilessly crushed and trampled under the Mum's foot along with the flowers and even the dead boy's frail body (since the Ceph don't care and don't have emotions). It ends with the anthill flattened, the flowers crushed and parts of the dead boy's face and teeth still stuck to the sole of the mum's boots while she walks off to find her husband to create another boy so that he can fuck around with another antill and do something stupid and probably both get trampled down to mush and the cycle keeps repeating again and again until one prodigal boy becomes smart enough to use chemical agents to smartly kill the ants and please his mum thereby saving his head from her boot. Yeah that above paragraph is what the Ceph are. They are surviving and thriving in places closed to blackholes and intense radiation zones that would drive a normal human mind insane! All thanks to Ceph Warrior Mum's ruthlessness. Also by Crysis 3, Cell is destroyed and useless, Earth is recovering and Prophet's long term mission is over (so no more Nanosuits!), so there is no point for Crysis 4.

Isn't it a bit freaky to think that at the end, there is not Laurence Barnes or Alcatraz that we see, but a machine that adapted the appearance of Laurence Barnes and his personality and now somewhere in this word is a machine living a life like a human. Oh man I love the story and lore of Crysis. It's so underrate. Same goes with the soundtrack. great job made there from the composers. I wished Crytek would continue the franchise as it still has plenty of things to explore. the special ending there with Psycho and mentioning of Lockhard and Nomad. North Korea having nanosuits. I mean I'll guess Hargreave gave them the suits, but still. North Korea had those things in Crysis 1, the ending of Crysis 2 showing where Ceph is still housing. ( Somewhere in London/ Britain for example) and CELL is most likely is still having power. Just like they took credit for the events of the battle of New York, they take credit for Archangel shooting the big ass Alpha Ceph. There is still much potential there for more crysis. I hope Crytek goes out of the Free2Play market and back to the PayOnce2Play market.

i know what cell is doing they still think that the ceph is a threat, so they plan on harvesting all the energy before the ceph can absorb it, so they will leave them alone due to not being able to do stage 1

I mean doesn't anybody think it's weird that Nomad is the one you played as in the first game but then Prophet is the only super soldier in the next 2?!
In Crysis : Escalation (novel), Prophet teams up with Psycho (in his Nanosuit 1.0 armor) to take on Cell in search of the Alpha Ceph. Psycho mentions how Prophet got EMP'ed by a point-blank detonation of a Lockheed AAF 212 Circuit Breaker (an emp nuke!). Because of that Psycho and Prophet's suits both got locked up to keep their Operators safe but Prophet passed out because Alcatraz's body is entirely dependent on the N2's function and since the N2 was dead in the water, Prophet was as useful as a dead trunk of a tree. Psycho still somehow survived and probably must've been 'skinned' like the other soldiers who 'rescued' you during the start of the game who were all former Nanosuit Operators (Dane and all), who were skinned and somehow survived. Dane is mentioned in Crysis Escalation who rescued Chino (Alcatraz's teammate) from a group of feral Ceph stalkers only to have Chino die from the bullet of a Cell bitch because Dane's comm systems were fried after surviving a blast from the ODIN satelliate on the Hudson river which itself vaporized a huge chunk of the river. This brings me to the obvious conclusion that Nomad indeed can survive an RPG if the Nanosuit can survive an EMP nuke, a Kiloton strike from the ODIN or even a revive a critically dead Operator from death.
This games graphics were insane for its time. & probably my first game that I played that had a badass compound bow that folded like that. It was fucking badass
Well that is because this is all high-poly work, no low-poly with detail normal textures added to the model, as in all the crisp detail is straight from the model.

Yeah, the game doesn't explain this very well. There is some dialogue that alludes to it though (and a collectible data pad thing that I decided to cut out of the movie...that maybe I should've left in). Basically Psycho's consciousness was stored in the suit (the ending cutscene for Crysis 2 shows this), and over time it took over Alcatraz's consciousness to the point where Alcatraz really no longer exists anymore except that it's his body wearing the suit.
I'll explain. Prophet's body tot killed but his memories were stored inside the nanosuit. When Alcatraz got in the suit Prophet hijacked Alcatraz'body.

SuperIcelight It is not Prophet's fault. Prophet memories were in the suit, so when Alcatraz died the suit used his body to move around but still used Prophet's memories.
who is Harris? Who found Nomad? didn't Psycho or someone previously mentioned nomad went awol after lingshan island? How did Alcatrazs' corpse turn into Prophet with crazy eyes when he clearly committed suicide in the last game?
At the start of Crysis 2, Barnes' personality was fully integrated within the suit. During the game, it was not in use until the epilogue. Out of two personalities recorded in the suit, Prophet was the more stable compared to Alcatraz (because of his wounds, not only was his body damaged, but his mind as well - around 46% percent (based on logs in C3) was left remaining) so the suit adapted and chose a more complete identity. Only part of Alcatraz left inside is his organic matter (guts, to be frank) mixed with the suit's systems and Ceph organic matter (which is recognized as nanocatalyst by the suit because it expands the suit's abilities).
The thing to remember when you put an Englishman in this games and your movies,is the language. Psycho would say LIFT not Elevator and Diving Suit not DIVE Suit. etc.etc.. Also he would not swear as much,unless he came from South London or Up North say in Liverpool,Birmingham or Manchester. !!!
God, I missed this series, I can't wait to see what happens next. I always wondered what happened to nomad guess I'll find out soon enough. would me awesome if they put all three games on the same disk and ported it to next gen like they did with halo. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Considering in crysis 1 you are nomad , in crysis warhead you are psycho, in crysis 2 your alcatrac(mute) in 3 you kinda still alcatraz right? just prophet subconsiosnes took over and your prophet again, id say in crysis 4 you gunna be able to play all 3 charecters, iver you shift charecter from charecter in whichever way the game designers want OR the better way would be to choose a charecter before every mission, but considering psycho lost his suit i doupt you get him as a charecter unless he gets it back from the cell board that he ambushed at the end. You know just a theory of what gunna go down charecter-wise in part 4

In the game there are some nanosuit logs that you can read,(its like the suit is reporting stuff like enemy info and somethings like that)and one says that the suit detected another personality aka alcatraz

This game got the female psyche almost perfect.

So, it basically stands to say that no actual human can ever defeat the ceph. In the end, it was just one huge mass of ceph technology combined with organic and digital data that took down the ceph. It just so happened that the organic data belonged to Alcatraz, and the digital data was the suit's information and Prophet's leftover personality and memories. And what's my point? It's fuck it! It's a great game, just play it, enjoy it, cry, moan, harder faster deeper, and get the fuck over it. :P
The point is the series is basically lovecraftian lite that everything ordinary human could do is pointless unless they become something more than they are. The game lore state that human are barely rated as ant compared to the Alien.
I am really liking it how you interact with the game, for example when Psycho ask Prophet does he like a bow you just nod off when he says no. Nice job in other 2 parts of the game.

one of my favorite games that I actually own. I finished it about 3 times (Ironic, huh?), and I enjoyed it every time, aside from some minor criticism. I also like the fact that, unlike Crysis 2, there actually IS a final boss.

The last few seconds I've definitely missed. That makes it even more possible for a 4th game to exist in the near future, with Laurence "Prophet" Barnes now a human-like machine. I suppose we'll be playing as Nomad once more.
There's no point, the Ceph on Earth have been totally vanquished, Cell would go bankrupt and be destroyed with a few weeks, Earth and its inhabitants would heal, recover and become awesome due to Ceph tech.
But if the warrior caste Ceph turn up in the Solar System, the Earth and by extension all of Humanity is fucked and toast.

prophet is still able to use his suits abilities, well that is if he isn't wearing the suit if he is and its developed human skin mimicry(which would be fucking cool to use in a fourth game), he would be the ultimate soldier but like Sam fisher the government will somehow track him down and call upon his extreme badassery(don't quote me) to stop another ceph invasion and also developing the ability to control the ceph themselves would be on another skill tree meaning multiple skill trees( one for the suits original abilities, one for the mimicry abilities and another for the new alpha ceph abilities) which would mean you are able to stop the ceph from invading just as long as you manage to get all the ceph off the earth to get one of the six endings each focusing on what you did with your abilities(each tree has its separate end choice and final boss with a good choice ending and a bad choice ending) thats what i want in a crysis 4 where you can be your own facially customized character which will also be in the multiplayer.

If there is another Ceph Invasion, Earth would be orbitally bombarded and turned to scrap and dust. Because the Warrior Ceph wouldn't bother to put troops on the ground since the Alpha Ceph has been destroyed by Prophet.
The Ceph in Crysis games we encountered were by definition all gardeners who were trying to save Earth's biota from Humans. Since they have all been wiped out, there is no point to again put boots on the ground for a 'Ceph invasion'.
It wasn't even an invasion from their POV.
Let's say a Warrior Mum and her dumbass boy are walking down their garden.
The boy sees an anthill on a pot of his favorite flowers and starts observing and toying with it. Since he is still not mature, he starts killing off ants one by one to preserve it rather than put boric acid on their asses.
One of the ants (Prophet ant) bites the boy and it initiates an allergic reaction in him which kills him on the spot.
The boy's mum sees this and becomes pissed.
What follows is the ant-hill getting mercilessly crushed and trampled under the Mum's foot along with the flowers and even the dead boy's frail body (since the Ceph don't care and don't have emotions).
It ends with the anthill flattened, the flowers crushed and parts of the dead boy's face and teeth still stuck to the sole of the mum's boots while she walks off to find her husband to create another boy so that he can fuck around with another antill and do something stupid and probably both get trampled down to mush and the cycle keeps repeating again and again until one prodigal boy becomes smart enough to use chemical agents to smartly kill the ants and please his mum thereby saving his head from her boot.
Yeah that above paragraph is what the Ceph are. They are surviving and thriving in places closed to blackholes and intense radiation zones that would drive a normal human mind insane! All thanks to Ceph Warrior Mum's ruthlessness.
Also by Crysis 3, Cell is destroyed and useless, Earth is recovering and Prophet's long term mission is over (so no more Nanosuits!), so there is no point for Crysis 4.

Isn't it a bit freaky to think that at the end, there is not Laurence Barnes or Alcatraz that we see, but a machine that adapted the appearance of Laurence Barnes and his personality and now somewhere in this word is a machine living a life like a human. Oh man I love the story and lore of Crysis. It's so underrate. Same goes with the soundtrack. great job made there from the composers.
I wished Crytek would continue the franchise as it still has plenty of things to explore. the special ending there with Psycho and mentioning of Lockhard and Nomad.
North Korea having nanosuits. I mean I'll guess Hargreave gave them the suits, but still. North Korea had those things in Crysis 1, the ending of Crysis 2 showing where Ceph is still housing. ( Somewhere in London/ Britain for example) and CELL is most likely is still having power. Just like they took credit for the events of the battle of New York, they take credit for Archangel shooting the big ass Alpha Ceph. There is still much potential there for more crysis. I hope Crytek goes out of the Free2Play market and back to the PayOnce2Play market.

There is a Crysis comic. It picks up the story right after Crysis 1. In it Nomad is gives his life to save the others.
In Crysis : Escalation (novel), Prophet teams up with Psycho (in his Nanosuit 1.0 armor) to take on Cell in search of the Alpha Ceph. Psycho mentions how Prophet got EMP'ed by a point-blank detonation of a Lockheed AAF 212 Circuit Breaker (an emp nuke!). Because of that Psycho and Prophet's suits both got locked up to keep their Operators safe but Prophet passed out because Alcatraz's body is entirely dependent on the N2's function and since the N2 was dead in the water, Prophet was as useful as a dead trunk of a tree. Psycho still somehow survived and probably must've been 'skinned' like the other soldiers who 'rescued' you during the start of the game who were all former Nanosuit Operators (Dane and all), who were skinned and somehow survived. Dane is mentioned in Crysis Escalation who rescued Chino (Alcatraz's teammate) from a group of feral Ceph stalkers only to have Chino die from the bullet of a Cell bitch because Dane's comm systems were fried after surviving a blast from the ODIN satelliate on the Hudson river which itself vaporized a huge chunk of the river.
This brings me to the obvious conclusion that Nomad indeed can survive an RPG if the Nanosuit can survive an EMP nuke, a Kiloton strike from the ODIN or even a revive a critically dead Operator from death.

Alcatraz is effectively dead. After Crysis 2 the Nanosuit replaced his consciousness with that of Prophet's. There's a tie-in novel that explains it.

Yeah, the game doesn't explain this very well. There is some dialogue that alludes to it though (and a collectible data pad thing that I decided to cut out of the movie...that maybe I should've left in). Basically Psycho's consciousness was stored in the suit (the ending cutscene for Crysis 2 shows this), and over time it took over Alcatraz's consciousness to the point where Alcatraz really no longer exists anymore except that it's his body wearing the suit.

SuperIcelight It is not Prophet's fault. Prophet memories were in the suit, so when Alcatraz died the suit used his body to move around but still used Prophet's memories.

Pretty much the suit overrode Alky in favor of Prophet since Prophet was best suited for the job. Kinda shitty but Alky was dead meat anyway

At the start of Crysis 2, Barnes' personality was fully integrated within the suit. During the game, it was not in use until the epilogue. Out of two personalities recorded in the suit, Prophet was the more stable compared to Alcatraz (because of his wounds, not only was his body damaged, but his mind as well - around 46% percent (based on logs in C3) was left remaining) so the suit adapted and chose a more complete identity. Only part of Alcatraz left inside is his organic matter (guts, to be frank) mixed with the suit's systems and Ceph organic matter (which is recognized as nanocatalyst by the suit because it expands the suit's abilities).

Considering in crysis 1 you are nomad , in crysis warhead you are psycho, in crysis 2 your alcatrac(mute) in 3 you kinda still alcatraz right? just prophet subconsiosnes took over and your prophet again, id say in crysis 4 you gunna be able to play all 3 charecters, iver you shift charecter from charecter in whichever way the game designers want OR the better way would be to choose a charecter before every mission, but considering psycho lost his suit i doupt you get him as a charecter unless he gets it back from the cell board that he ambushed at the end. You know just a theory of what gunna go down charecter-wise in part 4
