At first, I couldn't understand why we're getting 2 Kryptonian-led movies (Superman and Supergirl) and 2 "villain"-led movies (Swamp Thing and Clayface) so close together and so early into the DCU. Then I remembered Chapter One is literally called Gods and Monsters
@@Victor-qx3vx yeah it's why I put "villain" in quotation marks. I can't imagine any character they base a movie on is going to be strictly evil. Especially if the end result is to have each movie's protagonist team-up Avengers / Justice League style. Although I can see the DCU version of this being a movie where the "Gods" battle the "monsters" and that way even the antagonists are fleshed out appose to being one-note like most MCU/DCEU ones were.
1:11 Oh no Twitter is upset… Anyway I’m very excited!! Clayface is one of my favorite Batman villains AND having him in a horror movie is just perfect. It has the potential to be what I hoped the Joker movie would be.
he said that no characters will appear just for the sake of setting something else up, clayface's role in creature commandos will be relevant to that plot and probs wont tease anything
Alot of people complain when unknown characters gets movies or show over known characters but end up loving them i mean look at guardians of the galaxy
It's really funny to see people act dissmissive of lesser known characters getting adaptations as if they knew half of the marvel characters they like now before the mcu took off.
This is a very unpredictable move from them, but studios would only make a risky decision like this if they were passionate about it and so im hyped (aside from morbius)
I really don't want a supergirl movie, i just find superman boring af and she is just a female copy of him, he's a basically a god, unless you possess a little bit of this rock which makes him useless and easy to kill. I'm more than happy with them going in a different direction than the previous DC movies, non-overpowered characters are so much more interesting and you can do so much more with them.

Swamp Thing isn’t really a villain as far as I know. He is kinda Lawful + Neutral.

Almost every DC character that isn’t a normal civilian can be considered a God or Monster. Get out of here with that Reddit ass shit
@@wibblesmcscribbles3018 which is probably why James Gunn is calling Chapter One "Gods and Monsters"
…Swamp Thing isn’t a villain bud

If it’s the clay face from The Batman cartoon , it could be physiologically promising 🤌🏾
When you think about it, it's actually a really good idea. Clayface usually has a really interesting backstory

AT LEAST use this as a way to introduce the DCU Batman

Supergirl had a TV series. I liked it, and I usually don't watch comic book media
oh yeah, i forgot about that show. I liked it too, i loved that era of TV
The clay face movie is part of the Batman crime universe, not the DCU
A most epic and correct take, my good sir. Subbed.
Lmao at Gunn fanboys trying to convince themselves having clayface as the third big movie when we should be building to justice league makes sense
This Clayface movie belong to Elseworld
Eh I disagree, I think it has potential in the DCU and hopefully will introduce the Batman of the universe if not already shown elsewhere
why?
