Full transparency to the Dandy Crew - There were 3 games between this one and the previous post where the first 2 games I recorded together (or so I thought) but I either accidently deleted while organizing or didn't record it... I can't find the file, I am sorry - I ended both games at 8 points. The 3rd game was another loss which was recorded but was a horribly toxic table that destroyed the board and frankly, the educational or entertainment value seemed little to none. It was a miserable game to say the least. So leading into this game I lost the last 3 games! I don't want to hide or obscure that fact. Either way, we are still in the early days of the run and have a lot of games to share here! Enjoy and thank you for the support - DandyDrew

@@deveshdalmia3047 Toxic is toxic - Period. I specifically said "educational or entertainment value" for a reason. There are some cases (like the previous video) where the table's pettiness and "toxicity" can be perceived as entertaining in the right light... The #1 thing that was mentioned in game 12 was that the plows and antics were just fun to watch - It had entertainment value though most people will agree there wasn't much strategically to learn from a game like that. If I play a game and think the audience has no value in watching this while the board is just being petty/toxic, I have to make a judgment call if that is something I want to promote on my channel.
The last game you played is the problem with Catan right now I have no idea why people get so upset. It’s a game.

Ill be honest, I didn’t have that great of a time in the placements and the few matches previously… this was one of the better games in the run and there was no negativity from anyone during the game, so far. As we level up, the games only get better and better.
I was playing black this game! I always see your videos and suddenly I appear in the TV lol (didnt notice at the time, i dont check players profiles). I take the recomendation of ask for compensation when extend the game, maybe i didnt do it cause doing it in english is difficult to me =( Thanks for the game!

If you are black here, you should (everyone should) maximize win chance, not maximize game length. I feel like black needs to extort red for max resources, make it worth building roads instead of ruining your own econ to help red win. Of course it’s “well played” from red’s perspective, but IMO red should never walk away from that turn with a full grip of cards.

it's pick 3 and I'm thinking if you took the 6/5/10 OWB you destroy both the picks the guys after you made and you are more flexible bc. you have brick already.

well then someone would have taken the 810 and someone would have taken the 835. so maybe you get on the 4 sheep but your advantage is less obvious. Idk getting the wheat and sheep monopoly made this a really easy game for Danny here

If anybody was toxic in this game, it was red.
Another thing to black, if you are helping someone by extending the game for them take multiple cards from them. Like instead of porting your own resources make red empty their hand and then use red's resources to port for brick. In that way, you are actually extending the game. Otherwise, you are just handing the win to red, which is not fair play.
One more point, according to red it is gg only when others help him win which is a toxic mentality. That's why the first line.
I’ve never had someone call me toxic because I said “gg” at the end of a game. It’s rare for me to have firsts in Catan so kudos to you. 😎
@@dandydrew Nice twist of words mate. I called it because others(primarily black) handed you the win, which was not fair. And while they were handing you the win, all you were saying was "nicely done".
Also, since you are so concerned with the "educational" value of your videos, you should have clearly mentioned what black and orange are doing is wrong and how the game should be properly extended. Instead, you were very happy with what was being done and even said "that it needed to be done"(with the 3 block and roads).
Which was nothing more than handing you the win.
As I said you were happy when everyone blocked blue, but at the same time everyone is stupid or doesn't know how to play if they block you.
Another thing I want to point out is your trades. You wanted multiple cards from blue to give the wheat. This is fair since he doesn't produce any wheat and he needs it more urgently than you need wood. But now later when you wanted the wood, to empty your hand, or to do a settlement blue wanted multiple cards which again is fair since you need the wood more urgently. But this time you termed him greedy. Now you tell me how is blue greedy and you are not.
Would really like to know that.
Also please let me know if you think black and orange did the right play.
(ps: not saying black shouldn't have extended the road but at the same time he shouldn't have handed you the win.)
