One of the greats.... This takes me back to being with my sweet wife of 38 years... She past and went on to be with the Lord... But this song takes me back to us... Thank you Jon.
Jon Secada celebrated his 62nd birthday on October 4, 2023. He is a Cuban-born American singer who has won two Grammy Awards and sold 15 million records, making him one of the best-selling Latin music artists. He has written songs for Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez, has toured with Luciano Pavarotti and recorded duets with Olivia Newton-John and Frank Sinatra.
My parents used to play this in the car all the time. The only thing I remembered was the chorus. Today I turned on MTV and this song came on. I almost cried. After all these years I've finally found it!!!!
My wife of 28 years passed away 8 months ago today. This song came on the radio, haven't heard it 20 years, as it played I had to pull over and cry on the steering wheel. Song was always good, really hits close now.:(
@@imatter4619 Between the lot of the current crop of crap they couldn't come up with a song 1/16th as good as this. Stepdaughter was listening to 50Pence (50Cent) and declared it a classic oldie... Good effing lord.
It seemed like a cheesy top 40 song at the time, but looking back 30 years later, after countless listens, this is really one of the most beautiful songs ever written. That thing that’s so great about music - the “thing” that just grabs you and burns itself into your fondest memories, - it’s what makes it such a perfect work of art. It’s classy, timeless, universally relatable, and it captures a distinct, still hopeful but weary melancholia in that ascendant chorus and the unflinching mechanical beat. There’s a transcendence to this song that just reaches you on a different level that was seldom achieved amongst the 4 minute statement of an FM radio pop song.
I heard this today, April 23 2021, and it took me somewhere I hadn't been in a while and I damn near cried while grocery shopping. That's real music ❤️

I was a young man when this song hit the charts and I fell in love with the spirit and passion I felt whenever I heard these words from jon Secada. The Spanish version is even more beautiful and powerful. Now thirty years later this song has so much more meaning to me on a spiritual level than I can describe in words. I play this song and feel his pain in his words because it describes my emotions and what I'm going through just as he did when he wrote these words and shared with us through his music. This connection we feel is what makes music so special and vital because it can be very difficult to describe how we feel with emotions so overwhelming and is what a good artist and songwriter can do for someone who is broken and might feel so alone because they can't find words to describe the pain they feel. The pain, Passion and connection I have with this artist, his words and his song is so very special to me and it let's me know I am not alone and helps me to get stronger to move past the pain I feel inside.
I had to look for this song after all these years and finding it here send chills down my spine. It’s going to be on repeat for a really long time ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

***** One main reason in my opinion that music is so bad now is that artists would rather look good than be good, and my (unfortunately) generation lets them get away with it, they will go see the cute girl/guy sing and compliment her/him even if she/he is horrible at singing, but if some scrawny, ugly dufus, gets up and belts out an amazing tune, he will get a few strange looks like, wow, who would have thought, then everyone forgets, because that person is not flashy enough to keep their attention.
Amatullah Lopez. I'm kind of new to listen to old music but I remember my mom listening to it so I do kind of like it it does have a feeling that you wanted to get up and dance or tap your toes and a lot of songs today is good as they are so many of them like that you listen to the music and you're waiting for the Rhythm you can't quite jump in like you could double dutch something else my mother loved as a musician myself it's nice to see people really do appreciate music

Era bom demais 😁
Got chills up my spine and goosebumps listening to this...
Salsa music...Latin music...the SEXIEST by far......
Love this song. Great voice. Brings back many memorable moments back in the day.
Ditto
that's beautiful.
I heard this as a child.. and the force is immense. well spotted and felt :thumbs up:
There are songs that never die, and this song is definitely one of them. I love it
27 years ago when this GREAT song was released. Seems like yesterday.
Tunes!!!!😂
MY daughter and I still sing along to this in the car...I'm 56 now and she's 35....memories!!!😃😇❤x
That's so sweet 😊
Rip your mother

@@irenewakefield4834 oh trip your mother

This song is always on repeat. I love it. It's one of my all-time favorites.
One of the best songs and sounds of the last 50 years
Definitely and it came out of nowhere
That chorus is freaking powerful
The pain in his voice I will relate to for the rest of my life. I'll never stop loving her even 10 years after the divorce.
I breakup with my gf and same here it hurts she had great taste in music
😢
I'm crying right now. Why do people have to go through so much pain because they love someone.
@@ebukaphilip2868 I'm still loving someone twenty years later. Lost her in 2000 but I still think of her every so often. 💔
Reminds me of splitting up with my Ex.
I had to look for this song after all these years and finding it here send chills down my spine. It’s going to be on repeat for a really long time ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
These songs will never die
This will never gets old..the passion, the love, the beat as if it's beat from your heart.
This song is timeless.....great music is always great, doesn't matter the year.....I'll always love this song.
Uma das mais belas canções.
Marcou época.
Sucesso eterno!!!
i was 16 when this song came out.Now iam 39.That should tell you something! Songs like this have passion, depth and they stir the soul. The music of today is sooo watered down.I love this song and i always will."Just another day is a 90's classic.
Amen...I too have such a depression with todays music...Whos the next pop star
***** One main reason in my opinion that music is so bad now is that artists would rather look good than be good, and my (unfortunately) generation lets them get away with it, they will go see the cute girl/guy sing and compliment her/him even if she/he is horrible at singing, but if some scrawny, ugly dufus, gets up and belts out an amazing tune, he will get a few strange looks like, wow, who would have thought, then everyone forgets, because that person is not flashy enough to keep their attention.
Adam Foster You may be right about that Adam. Jon Secada, has the whole package, amazing voice...and good looks!
Amatullah Lopez. I'm kind of new to listen to old music but I remember my mom listening to it so I do kind of like it it does have a feeling that you wanted to get up and dance or tap your toes and a lot of songs today is good as they are so many of them like that you listen to the music and you're waiting for the Rhythm you can't quite jump in like you could double dutch something else my mother loved as a musician myself it's nice to see people really do appreciate music
i agree
When I was in high school, my teacher used to play John Secada when we were in class. How time flies.
I love this song, makes me long for my lost youth. There are so many things that I would change. I wish I knew then what I know now.
We can never get those days back. I would love to be young again, but not in this era. The world has become unrecognizable from how it was back then.
My wasted youth makes me cry...
@@mohammedali3840 lol
We all do.
@@doesitmatter4182 I so agree. I once heard someone say. "Freedom without discipline. Is not Freedom". And now a days. This is why this world is in chaos. Be blessed.
Quem viveu essa época sabe como fomos felizes

I bought this CD…… 30 YEARS AGO!!! How has it been 30 Fu€king years!!
I was walking tonight past a closed shopping center (COVID-19) and I heard coming from the overhead speakers this song, which I have not heard for many years. I thought to myself, "What a great song." I thought it sounded 1990ish, and I was within two years, 1992. Beautiful.
And thats exactly how I ended up here too!
Me & you the same age hey...timeless classic
@@staceysmith9487 exactly same as me too... last Wednesday, with the news of Trump going i was doing my shopping feeling miserable, then I heard this song which I wouldnt have heard for 25 years come on... I already miss Trump.
