Thank you for the history lesson on vintage signs, thats makes me wonder if the pace of society influenced logo design changes. In the past, slower travel allowed people to engage deeply with ads, but as transportation sped up, logos might have needed to become simpler to quickly catch attention and be memorable.

Great perspective! I literally never thought about that! I just go like “stuffs not as cool as it used to be” lol
I might have to actually do some real research and learn more tbh!

Few understand the space between an idea and getting it out and into reality. Your inspiration came from the painstaking detail he worked into his art. Leather is not an easy medium to work if one is seeking to do detail... it takes so many hours to craft a 8x10" panel of flowers or animals or leaves or most anything with large amounts of fine detail. Say it takes ten hours to complete. If one was seeking to make money at this he would have to charge $3-400 for the piece. Hard to sell 10 of those a month. And that is before one has to pay for space, supplies and a cup of coffee...

That’s why I never recommend this job to anyone lol
It’s hard to be the guy who promotes this, but then says. It’s terrible lol
