i just started watching your videos en enjoy them very much, and i mirror much of your struggles, (we are approximantly the same age) from not fitting in to other parts i still dont feel confortable admitting, and well started into leather craft just recently like a couple months at the most. in order to find something that relaxes me and eases me into calming down a bit. hope you find the help, and support you need. evetrhing is possible with caring people and love around you.

Pertaining to this video and the information that you have about people hitting you up for help and guidance. I think you have given more in this video about how to build a business in leather crafting. It’s like you stated in that nobody owes you anything in life and with that, I think I seen that you have 400videos (also congratulations on the 1milli views) I might be wrong about how many vids you have BUT that is so much useful knowledge that you are giving people for free! I have only seen this vid and I’m pumped to see the journey that you’ve been on. I could see myself hitting you up for “help with tooling” again like you said, you could watch a thousand videos but until you go through the process of tooling is the only real way of getting better at it. Hey mate, I checked out your profile and got to admit you've done some pretty good looking projects. I'm still wondering bout one thing I got to ask, why are you calling yourself an artist? Leatherwork is a craft, not an art. I mean it could be, some people are literally sculpting leather to the point it looks like some marble relief. But frankly you're making some good looking, but still generic western themed leather tooling. Skilled craftsmanship - of course! Art - why?

Why do you care if you don’t fit in ?? Quit trying to fit in. Period. You are your own person and need not fit in anywhere. Fuck everyone do your own shit man.

I really understand and appreciate where you are coming from and what you've talked about I've been there. I know the feeling that you feel like you don't belong. I would honestly say just be you, do whatever it is that makes you happy. I found that having Jesus in my life has changed my perspective on a lot of things. I'm not trying to force anything on you, you have to make your own decisions. I will just say this I pray that you will find the right direction for you and try not to let yourself get to discouraged 😊

Excellent video! 🤙 What determines when to use paint vs dye in your leather projects, is it the color choices? I feel like paint would have a tendency to rub off or smear on say a leather mobile phone cover. Also, what do you use to get all of those fine lines in your carving and stamping?

I'm seriously freaking out. My job just brought me 7ft by 2 ft leather panel to paint. I've never painted on leather. I have the scraps to practice. I don't know where to start. This will be displayed in a booth at the NFR. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can the paints be mixed to make more colors?

Ok so is it possible to tool on a really large scale? Like I'm talking 7ft by 2 ft. I'm an artist. I've never tooled anything but I'm so crazy intrigued.

Hey man, it's interesting what you said. What you said was accurately describing my situation. But the difference between me and you is where we live, i live in a 3rd world country, isolated, hard to get out of, difficult to make money here. I'm new to leathercraft it's been a year since i started. I don't tool leather cause i'm bad with drawing. And btw i got a master's degree in geophysics, so theoretically i should have more chances to make money, but here i am no money, no friends, no past, no future.
