"The Stroll" (1957) by the Diamonds was a big hit and dance in its day. A DANCE YOU COULD HAVE DONE (with a little practice). American Bandstand videos are on TH-cam.
"Volcanic" is the perfect description of James. A few years later he would revolutionize music as a whole by putting the emphasis on The One instead of the traditional Jazz based Two/Four. The song was Cold Sweat.
James Brown would do shows for anywhere from 60 minutes to 2 hours just like that. And FYI there were four songs in the TAMI SHOW. OUT OF SIGHT, PRISONER OF LOVE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, NIGHT TRAIN. Now I’m getting ready to watch your reaction!
Dominika, there are many TH-cam videos that will teach you to dance in whatever style you want. They give the steps and you can play it over as many times as you want. Andrei, there are lessons to learn the guitar on TH-cam. All you need is a guitar and a pick. You don't need to learn to read music at first, just learn the chords. The good thing is that it is free. The great thing is that people learn new things at any age. Go for it!
Every time I watch anything about James Brown, I think about bootsy Collins talking about the time he put acid in James Brown's drink, let the way Bootsy tells the story, it'll crack you up I mean it's funny as hell,
This is from a 1964 concert movie called "The T.A.M.I. Show" which featured several big name stars of the era. Toni Basil is a well known dancer and choreographer (she even had a "one hit wonder" song with "Mickey" in 1981) and she was the assistant choreographer for the dancers for that concert and she talks about the impact that seeing James Brown live and up close had on her as a dancer: th-cam.com/video/swaQxvrLgdY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zPBuxyCFtrgCstAf
@@MerchantOfAlba If you watch the Stones performance from this show you will see Jagger doing his best to emulate James Brown's dance moves. Pretty funny. This show was at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
Your reaction was great I like your enthusiasm as always. But when he did a split that was nothing that didn’t hurt him he’s done thousands of splits in his career when I saw him in 1980 in New York at one of the rock clubs he did between 10 and 15 splits and he was 47 years old then. That was a high number per show but just to give you an idea that he did them for years.
The hardest working man in show business!
Can't go wrong with the Godfather of Soul. An electrifying performer.
James Brown the Godfather of Soul!!!!
Absolutely LEGENDARY performance!

I like how honest and genuine your reactions always are, good songs to react to for him are ‘Superbad’ and ‘payback’ 👍
Thank you 👍

An iconic James Brown song is Cold Sweat.
Look into interview where Mick Jagger saw him at the Apollo in (1964??) Fashioning himself as having moves until he saw JB and had an emotional crash…

They flipped a coin and the Stones lost. Mick Jagger did not want to follow James but he lost the flip.
Thank you for explaining 😊

Only Freddie Mercury was equal in his stage performance and both were exceptional entertainers.
