No lies were told in the title! Seeing this POV makes me realise I should not attempt to learn this song yet.. Serious talent to pull this off note for note!
He was known for his sick rhythm playing too.. He started off playing for Little Richard and the Isley Brothers too. His double stopping soloing was more rhythm than soloing in a lot of cases
Well done Dylan! Takes me back to my teenage years, listening to Hendrix and playing pool! lol. You're so talented and a great ear for music, stay safe and healthy sir!
Randomly got to this yesterday. Had to come back today. Your cover is stunningly good. The feel of both your hands is really amazing. Never heard someone got this done so smoothly and flowy like the original.
use a univibe and a fuzz with your guitar volume as low as possible without it being off. At low volume on your guitar (like 2-3) the fuzz basically acts like a boost instead of an actual fuzz so you get a nice sparkly tone and if you ever want a more traditional fuzz sound all you gotta do is turn your volume on your guitar up to like 4-5. the best pickup to use for that punchy sparkly tone is the neck pickup imo. and for the univibe, make sure the rate is nice and slow, hendrix loved the thick slow sound of the univibe, a big mistake i see people make is having their univibe rate too fast so it sounds more like a phaser. hope this helps.
Great job man! I covered this one years ago and must say you nailed it spot on, especially the tone! What a genius Hendrix was to create this masterpiece
Damn bro, that is a good fuckn LW cover. That's not just note for note, that's microtone for microtone. Most people play it the SRV way nowadays but the Jimi one has a more delicate and beautiful melody imo. High marks.

@@jasonmf been playing about 4 months so I'm still getting my technique solid. It's on the list to learn though when I have the foundation
you should still give a shot every week or something and slowly get better at it

Hendrix was obviously best known for for his lead guitar but he was also an incredible rhythm player too.

The tone is so spot on at first I thought you were just playing on top of the original recording (with Jimi’s guitar). Insanely good work
A perfect copy of something that in quite a big part was improvised. Astonishing!!
I just can’t get over how good the tone is, keep coming back every day🔥😎
First perfect note-for note version of this song I ever heard. Splendid, well done!
