Craig, Enjoying this! That's a ride I need to make. It does get me itchy to begin my mid-August ride to Idaho. Three 700 mile interstate days but then on well,, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota (note to self, check Tenere gas mileage when heading east across Dakotas!), Minnesota, Wisconsin and then the monotonous midwest. The "pace" of this video is excellent. It is about the roads and what the conditions of the ride are that every rider can relate to, IMHO. BTW, should you ever make it to DuBois County, Indiana, you have the pronunciation perfect.
I would suggest sr26 which follows the Little Muskingum River and ends or starts in Marietta. Sr145 is also a great ride as well. Both roads offer incredible technical curves and lots of hills. I think these are 2 of Ohio’s best rides. Sr78 is listed with the best rides in the USA with long sweeper curves and beautiful scenery and is less technical. Just a fun ride.
Absolutely enjoying your content. Good to see parts of the USA that i most probably won't get to see. The tiger 1200 is a fantastic bike. i have the gt pro version . Ride safe
As usual, I am enjoying watching your video almost as much as you are enjoying the ride. That 1200 GT PRO Explorer is one great touring machine. Travel safe Sir. 👍😎
Craig, love your videos. This one has me in green overload. I’m a Midwest guy so I know how green it gets in the summer, but I have lived in AZ since 1980 and when I see videos like this I just go wow. I agree with your speed comment. Going too fast doesn’t leave you any margin for error. Whether it’s your fault or someone else’s. Keep the content coming
Great vid and content. I have fond memories of Athens, OH. My ex in 2002 was at Ohio University doing her phd. I spent many weekends there over the years. It is a lovely area and nice restaurants and bars as well. Stay safe.
You will have to ride up to Hyner View sometime. It is a neat road up and a nice view. I am guessing you rode a ways on 120 near Renovo and weren’t too far from Hyner View.
@@LivingOffTheSlab We’ve been there several times, but never caught the hang gliders taking off. One day they were up there, but it was too windy so they didn’t fly. That would be fun to watch.
I must say i get jealous when your in Pennsylvania my state riding we need to ride together one day not sure my drz 400 can keep up with you . I road Wykoff run rd .when I road up there to see the elk mating season ! You should check that out kinda neat . Check out the kinzua bridge . Lot of state forest road up that way and look outs . looks fun but it is nice to have someone to ride with I think. Good job on the videos 👍
A few of my buddies had talked about coming down to do the PA Wilds BDRx. I actually saw a lot of folks on dual sports as I was riding through the area. We have just not been able to get schedules to work out.
We live in southwestern Ohio and have ridden 550 a few times. Some really good riding out there. Did you get to ride route 78? The Big Muskie Bucket is on that road plus many technical curves.
@LivingOffTheSlab we've ridden 78 several times and I still almost missed it the last time out there. It's a gravel drive and not a very noticeable sign. If you're ever out there again, you should try and see it. The size is very impressive!
Craig, any feedback on the old triumph? Positives, negatives... or is no news good news? How's the tiger been for you on this trip? Great video! Ride safely!
It was great to catch up with you again on the trip. I did notice you looked a little bloated, now I know why...gravy fries 🤣. Originally I planned to make the trip a two day ride out to Athens, Ohio(and back) on similar routes as you took. But my wife type person who was going on this trip with me, sprung it that she felt it was going to be too much riding for her 😐 So I ended up trucking the big Victory out to Athens on a 10.5hour highway run☹ Looks like I missed what would have been the best part of the trip...but that's another story.
It was great to hang out for a bit. All you guys are it part 2. I didn't get to do everything I had planned either, but that just gives a reason to go back next year!
Great looking ride! Awesome looking roads. It looks to be just hours away from me here in Buffalo, NY. I am going to have to create a route! A cycle cover is a great security deterrent. But they are usually bulky and heavy. Q: What Motorcycle cover do you use? Thanks!
Thanks for coming over to my part of the country. SE Ohio is full of excellent motorcycle roads.
Looks to be a kewl series to watch. Really dig you thirst for back country roads. Just like I do. Thanks for sharing
Great video! Welcome to my state! You picked some great roads to hit while you were here.
I really enjoyed riding with you on this one. Thanks for the great video!!!
Thanks!

Thank you sir! We are having a lot of rain this year, so things are pretty lush.

Great video as always. Keep making them!
As a fellow beard owner I call shenanigans! Lets see you do that with soup!
Looks like a great trip!

Looks like a great ride.. besides New Hampshire never done a good road trip.. I’m from Boston too
Lots of cool things east of the Mississippi.
Ride safe.
Damn, would have met you and went on the trip.

I did ride 78, but some how missed the bucket...guess I was too into the ride.

Lovin the ride Craig! How's that non-alcoholic beer tasting? 😃
Not as good as the real stuff...

It has been great. I will do another review after the 10k service in a couple of weeks.
When did you go? We just had Ohio Windy Nine Meetup a few weeks ago. Several of us motovloggers got together to ride.
I was there at the same time. I stopped by and met some of the guys.
@@LivingOffTheSlab Sorry I didn’t see you. Maybe next time! I’m subbed now so I’ll know when your heading to my area!
craig have you ever been to the Quabbin Reservoir

Triumph good so far ? At some point now that you have really some time on it, a review ?
I did a 7000 mile review and I am at 10k now so will do another one after the service.
@@LivingOffTheSlab Thanks!

I use a Nelson Rigg cover. It is not the 100% waterproof version so it packs down a bit smaller. Maybe 6x10 when in the compression sack.
@@LivingOffTheSlab excellent!
