Only problem working two remote jobs is if you’re pretending to be at both jobs at the same time. I used to work installing hardscapes during the day, take a shower with a garden hose and then go work as a server. Plus 5 hours a week at a Hooters! 85 hours a week, no one understood how I did it and I exceeded expectations at all of my jobs. Now I work 40 on average and make three times as much just kinda coasting by because of the skills I learned along the way.

I asked my husband out 7 years ago and we are expecting our second baby this summer. 🥰 Nothing wrong with asking out a man, especially if you are into the bookish, nerdy or shy guys. Sometimes just one clear green flag from a woman can let a man know that she's open to being pursued. ❤

I moved to the USA from Canada on a K1 visa in 2011. Married my American husband and got my green card. Just became a citizen in September. I could have applied sooner but wasn't ready. The USCIS is no joke. We spent lots of money and time for me to get here. You can't just get married, and all of a sudden, you are in.

I moved from the Netherlands to America on a K1 visa in 2015 Yes there’s a whole process. I will say we were quite lucky as everything went super smooth and fast. I was bracing myself for worst case scenarios based on what I was reading, but it was really quick and easy. I think it depends on who works on your case too and how clean your record is. I became a citizen in 2019 right before COVID.

😊Husband British citizen but Canadian resident. Me U.S. citizen. It took me after we got married in Savannah 1 year and $5000 for me to get my Canadian visa. Divorced 2.5 years later. I couldn't handle the weather OMG😢 and the lack of funds😮 and no life insurance. $170,000 you need to own a home and $150,000 with 2 kids " to just make it by." I never talked to him about money. No retirement money put aside. In debt $15000? Made about $40,000 in a factory in Kingston. Sometimes LOVE IS NOT!! ENOUGH! Married now "in like," good finances, no debt, own our own home put in my name, army medical and I make sure i!! take care of ALL !! the bills. rent 1 room out. I'LL NEVER BE THAT STUPID AGAIN! TALK FINANCES FIRST THENNN MARRY. I think Dave would concur. ❤

Yup, unfortunately, the long immigration process is probably why people don't come here the right way. It's such a heartbreaking process. My mom didn't get to spend much time with my grandparents because the immigration process took 23 years before she was able to come to the US. They both died 2 years before she got her greencard. I'm married to an American citizen, and it looks like I'll be waiting for about a year to get my greencard. I thought I'd share this because I know a lot of US citizens don't know about this.

Regarding Melanie’s 2 jobs: if she is working the hours and doing the work both companies require, she shouldn’t have to disclose either job to the other ethically as long as there isn’t a clause in her contract about that or competing (and she said they’re different fields). I haven’t heard Ken have anything to say about making sure anyone working a 2nd job even part time should disclose that job to their original employer. The second job is the employee’s “personal time” and the employer has no right or say in what they do in that time. They are allowed to have another job as long as it doesn’t go against their contract(s).

How would you get fired for working 2 full time jobs?? Ken definitely didn’t hear the caller when she said the 2 jobs are in different fields. She tried to say it twice but they talked over her. I think the jobs don’t know about each other just because it’s not relevant, not because she’s keeping it a secret.

Regarding the couple living in two different countries… I disagree with combining debts. I have been in that situation where my future depends on the government immigration regulations. The person in the US will always have the financial upper hand. Debts were part of the past. The Canadian gentleman should pay his debts and the lady should pay hers. The resentment about waiting is plentiful. I would bet that you will be able to pay your respective debts before you will be able to live together. Wishing the best. Love wins !

Totally disagree on the trailer comment I live in a rural area and mobile homes on land sell for over 100k not everyone has to live in a mansion or gated community they seem to look down on ppl that live a certain way but could still make decent money and save. Not everyone desires a fancy home . I know ppl that live in 30 year mobile homes and they hold up fine as long as you take care of them.

Unless your company has a non compete clause, how could you be fired? No one can tell you what to do in your free time. Why is it ok to have a full time and a part time but not full time? This is corporate BS, where you think the employees owe you everything

Her company had a non-compete clause, or did I miss something. I’m trying to picture what would happen if a Ramsey employee decided to ignore their employment agreement (which has some specific clauses, I believe) and just said oh wait I didn’t really mean it…🤔I thought this was one of the few times Ken temporarily lost his marbles.

Full time equals forty hours a week in the united states of america
Do the simple multiplication math... Two full time jobs is basically eighty hours a week
Where as one full time job which is forty hours a week... Plus a part-time job that can range anywhere between 10 and 30 hours a week. Most commonly is not the same as two full time jobs

I am not saying a mobile home is a good investment, but making a blanket statement that they only go down is proven false in my area.

I don't see how it's unethical to work 2 40 hour jobs and the companies not know about it as long as they aren't on the same shift. It is obviously unethical if you're working 2 40 hour jobs at the exact same shift time. Even though Melanie says she's working 80 hours I question that because she was talking about not taking the possible new job because of flexibility reasons. If you're working the remote jobs 80 hours a week truly you don't have any flexibility anyways. So I'm thinking Melanie is actually working both jobs at the same time.
