I've seen people put the whole clutch and flywheel setup together on the transmission first before putting it on the truck. then you'd have to put it in gear and bolt the bellhousing in and turn the output shaft until you get bolt holes to line up. get a bolt snugged down, and you can turn the engine over and keep putting bolts in until all 8 are in. a couple of things to keep in mind are, make sure the flex plate is already in the spot where you can get a bolt in before you put the trans up, and it would be easiest to turn the output shaft it you put the trans in 6th gear. after you get the first bolt started, you can put it back into neutral.

that tool should slide in & out easily..only way to get that g56 back in.
