Had a father-son Campout this summer and my neighbor used one of these. Pretty impressive built. I helped him set it up and was surprised at how easy it was and how thoughtful the design turned out to be. Nice work!
As of 5/9/19 I sit here in my new 10×10 canvas Teton Tent on its maiden voyage in SpringHill Tennessee on a rainy day mopping up water because the seams are leaking terribly. Had to pull my ground tarp out from under the tent to cover the top to keep it from getting wet inside. Over all the tent seems to be well constructed but the water proofing lacks serious quality control. I highly recommend waterproofing before you go on your adventure after purchase. I will be contacting Teton to voice my concerns.
@@odgreenoutdoors20 We just completed a week camping trip in Tennessee and had one evening of light shower no leaks. Of course I had resealed all the seams. Water didn't penetrate any where including the front awning which held a small puddle afterwards. Over all I am pleased and find the tent plenty roomy for me and my wife. Could sleep 4 but with air mattresses it would be crowded. Hope that helps.
I have been doing some research and your Mesa Canvas Tents are at the top of my list but there is one MAJOR problem that I am having difficulty reconciling. I have many questions and have tried calling your headquarters numerous times and EVERY time I get an answering machine that says "Mailbox is full", so I can't even leave a message for a return call. This is a grave concern since warranty and reliable customer service is my top priority and it seems as though your company is lacking in that area. Also, you did not bother to answer my follow-up questions below. This situation may force me to choose a different brand.
ruinsane100 Kodiak Canvas tents are the way to go, I have the Kodiak 2 person Flexbow Canvas tent and it's awesome, it's more like a 3 or 4 person tent, super durable and high quality, it's an awesome tent, it doesn't wick either which is a big deal for me when it comes to canvas tents, SpringBar tents are nice to, but the Kodiak tents are just on another level
Mike Collins no I don't think so at all as far as Springbar being a better quality, My father has a highline6 or 8 can't remember from Springbar, and it's good don't get me wrong, but it wicks if you touch the walls on the inside when it's raining or wet out (it doesn't wick extremely bad but it definitely comes through) the Kodiak does not at all....which means weave is tighter and better waterproofing, and not to mention the canvas just feels thicker to me on my Kodiak than my father's Springbar, the only thing I like about the Springbar better is the all metal stake loops around the tent, Kodiak does have metal stake loops but they're attached to a nylon strap, and as design goes they're not the same at all, are they similar yes, but not the same, and that similar design has been used by all kinds of manufacturers for a long time, not just Springbar, I think Kodiak Canvas tents are definitely just as good if not better than Springbar tents....I forgot the about the floor, the Kodiak tent's floor feels much thicker and beefier than the Springbar also, now as far as my tent feeling just more overall durable than my father's tent might be because it's much newer than my dad's Springbar but I don't think so, it feels just thicker and more durable everywhere
@@3rdeyespy967 as you have seen on my channel, the Kodiak although a good tent is a copy of a Springbar.. the usa made🇺🇸 Family camper, Traveler, Vagabond, Outfitter and Compact are the best of the best as far as Tension style tents They do come with a price but very worth it.. I know nothing of the Teton sports tents other than it's a copy of a copy of a copy.. doesnt make them bad of course, i personally just don't know.. As long as you get outdoors is all that matters..🇺🇸🤠
I ordered this tent from Amazon.. I've nothing but good experience.. I don't know about their customer service but I read the instructions and set the tent in backyard and sprayed it with hose. As mentioned in the manual it leaked and once I let it dry, no looking back. It's stakes and poles are sturdy. Though I wanted to buy Kodiak it has no footprint in Canada. But I have no regrets with this one.
1:14 seems to be the weak point of the tent. Kodiak and Springbar have a bar that slides over the whole center joint. This seems to rely on just one pin.

So how is the tent holding up? Is it still leaking? Canvas I supposed to tighten up after it’s first wet experience and become waterproof

ruinsane - go with the the Springbar tent. I just got mine. They're made in the USA and are in Utah. Their customer service is awesome.
