This might be a strange comment, but I don’t think I struggle with these issues (but glad it’s helpful for others).
I’m just kinda glad that not *every* video applies to me (most seem to)! 😂
But I still appreciate the description & the exercises to see what I might be able to incorporate. Thanks! 😊

Hi Randy, this is definitely not very common after a stroke :) Spasticity usually prevents the leg from rotating inward.

Hi Dr Tara, thanks for this much needed video I desperately need to strengthen my hip muscles. It's like I try to fix 1 thing and there's something else after that but still going. It's been over 2 years and still progressing slowly from spinal cord herniation. Tara a quick question after I do exercises I get alot of sensation in my body can that be sign that nerves are waking up.
    Thank you 😊

By any chance can you offer any suggestions for tone in your core and shoulder of your affected side after a stroke? I had an AVM rupture that caused me to have a stroke and I'm affected on my left side. It feels as though I've got tone in my trunk to my shoulder and it makes my gait awkward.

Yay! Thank you! I’ve been doing AB duction abd posterior chain work but I notice that it has been helping a little when I’m supine and try to do knees to chest, my affected leg goes crazy and my knee flops out, gravity isn’t my friend, as my external rotators get stronger, will that help with my collapsing ankle too?
    Thank you so much!

Tara, what if the knee of the involved (I have hemiplegia) side collapses towards the other when I squat, do the same principles apply, or is that caused by something else entirely?

My hip issues likely have several contributors the largest being MS. I have spasticity (as do 80% of people with MS) and now take Baclofen (10mg 2x during day) and Tizanidine (at night) and this helps. Prior to acknowledging this the labrum in my right hip was shredded. Arthoscopic surgery was attempted but failed and was followed by a hip replacement. I just watched the foot drop/calf spasticity and it describes me well. I'll talk to my PT about the standing recommendation but concerned if I can take that much time standing/weight bearing but can try to increase it. She has recommended a botox injection into a calf muscle - should this be tried as well?
