    These guys are the nuts, my dad brought a duplex timing chain for his 07 D40, like I different truck! If my D40 needs anything other than a basic service I would only use these guys 👍🏻

    A suggestion? Maybe cover the automatic boxes too, my 2013 is 'fill for life' with no dipstick. I changed the oil anyway and was horrified to find the oil black and smelling burnt. Its tropical where I live so now I change out 4 litres every service. Oils cheap, automatics are not. Great videos mate, need to invest in a light for the camera ;)

    Hi champ, I am from Australia and love watching your videos on Nissan I have a 2006 3lt t/d. I am hoping you may be able to help me. My brother in law has a 2007 Toyota Hilux 1kd fav 3 lt , a while ago it developed a pin hole in number 2 piston, so we thought we would rebuild it. New Pistons,rings,big ends,injectors etc bore was honed. Put the engine back in and wouldn't start,seems to be not getting fuel, gave it a tow and away it goes and very quite and engine idles smoothly, Toyota told us it was a scv tried that and still the same. Took it to Toyota and they can not find a problem with it and can't get it to start by the key. Could this be a compression problem although we were mindful of separating the gap in the rings to be opposite each other, Toyota say thier diagnostics say that compression is fine, but they can't figure out why it won't start by the key but if they spray earostart in the air filter it starts. Hoping you may be able to shed some light on it. Thanks and regards mike

    2011 Nissan Maxima: Over the course of years before I bought the car from my sister the battery would randomly leave her stranded (or so she thought) but it's odd that the car would start just fine and after a short drive of perhaps three minutes and about fifteen minutes of her shopping the battery suddenly dies when she gets back in (her job and the store were very close so it was odd that it would crank once but fail less than 30 minutes later). I buy the car and change the alternator and the electrical connector for the alternator cause the plastic was brittle and broken, I did this cause the battery would randomly be drained after the car sat for weeks or sometimes only days. Car works fine for a few weeks (not driven regularly though) and I find the battery is still draining cause it's dead one day, but I charge it up . A couple of weeks later I got in the car and it cranked just fine but then after I put it in reverse all the warning lights come on and the engine wouldn't rev up in reverse. I put it in drive and the motor will rev up and move the car, put it back in reverse and get nothing. I buy a new battery and the car is cranking and working correctly, after a trip the battery and brake light start to flutter on and off but I make it home with no issues. Now the battery and brake light keep coming on but the car is working fine, though I note that if I rev the motor up I can make the light go out after a few times reving the engine. Opinion?

    I change oil 4-5 times a year and fully synthetic and still its very black !
    I use highest grade oil my truck is 2010 and I start to get DPF light going on and off but the highway trick helps fix the problem. It dont take or use a drop of oil between change. I use it as a work truck whit many hours of idle. So I'm guessing it's just get the DPF washed because it runs fine revs up fast good of power. And except the DPF light who comes and goes no problem. It has a 2.5" open exhaust from DPF and full way back behind the rear axle. So before I'm dismount the DPF any idea what more it can be no fault codes! And this problem started like few months ago and it not stay permanently! It always go of after 20-30min at 3500rpm. Best regards from Sweden Bjorn

    I keep getting a P0101 code on my 2011 R51 v6 4.0 34k miles. I cleaned the MAF sensor reset the code and it went away for a good while (2 months or so). It came back and I followed the same process. Any ideas...?

    I have a 2014 Nissan Navara Tekna manual. I was going to use 5w30 fully synthetic oil. There seems to be a few different types eg. c1, c2, b1 etc.. does it matter which one I use?

    Why does it require 7 litres? How many litres of oil do you put it when doing the oil and oil filter on the d40 2007 stx manual

    hi I have a 06 nissan navara d40 is was drinking oil then took it back to the garage were I got it from. then they said they fixed it when you start it it sound really tappy.but when it has warm up its ok bit of noise but hardly Any. but it has stopped drinking oil and I was wondering if you crack of a injector would it make it stop drinking oil cause you almost get a bit of that sound when you have a loss injection when it could as well ???

    I bave bought an 2006 pathfinder without dpf.
    On the service history until 2017 it has been used 5w40, the last dealership in 2019 used 5w30. Give me an advice please. What oil should i use ? Thank you.

    Hi. I love your dedication in your video's. And as an Tecnition myself on John Deere tractors I can see that you know what u are talking about. I am from South Africa. I was wondering if you will be able to help me?. I have an nissan navarra 2.5di 2006 2x4. I have this bakkie for 9 years now. But I have only put 50000km on the clock because this bakkie keeps braking down. The engine was been done over. Over size Pistons. New bearing liners. I haved replaced the selinder head. Haved repaired my Injectors and replaced the cranck speed sensor. When I'm driving, and my speedometer reached 80km per hour or at 130kph the engine derates. As soon as I lift my foot off of the accalorator and pres the accalorator again the engine operates normally again. And the bakkie keeps on smoking. At first it was white smoke. But then the smoke turned black. And you can smell that carben smell. I will appreciate it if you can give me some advice what Diagnostics I can do next to resolve this problem I am having please.     We have a 2011 Navara King Cab tray.
    Thai build
    D40
    Auto transmission
    Engine is running perfectly. Smooth, easy to start, plenty of power, no temp issues. No water in oil. Minimal oil in good quality catch can. Very little exhaust smoke.
    BUT😬
    Oil level in sump is rising. So Diesel getting to oil system.
    About 500ml every 2000 - 5000 km.
    Injector by-pass in rocker cover?
    Leaky injectors?
    Unlikely to be EGR valve related?
    It's ours only car and I'm living in hope of a simple diesel plumbing or pump fix.
    But I'm also preparing to spend money on a whole fitted engine. We are extra fussy regular service people and like Nissan design and we really need a reliable Ute wayne

    Done over 50k in my nissan nv200 with no service. Just keep an eye on the oil and top it up. Not bragging i know i should take care of it.

    i oil service my nav D40 06 auto every 6 months. i was told to use 10w 40 semi synthetic. runs very quite and smooth. but unsure what oil to use now. is 10w 40 ok or not? any one know

    I've been having an issue with my Nissan Pathfinder 2007, I had a broken EGR valve which I replaced and all was good for a period of time I then noticed that the car started to lose power and would not go over 70mph. I have now blocked off the EGR valve which I see from one of your videos and it has helped loads but I'm some times still get the feel of a slight loss of power in the higher gears when putting my foot down. Car feels like it's being held back, but not like limp mode. I watched all your videos but can't find anything that hits the nail on the head for the symptoms I got just wondered if you can point me in the right direction. I checked oil, and all filters and all are sound. Any help would be much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

      hi. i had that on my 56 plate pathfinder with the 2.5 dci engine. it used to bog down say in top gear. noticed it more going up hills. i cleaned my MAF sensor and all power resumed! 😆

    Hi i Just got my first navara. Its a 2011 d40 what would you suggest I do to help the engine. Im thinking full service even though its had one. Carbon clean and coolant,oil flush. Its a 2.5 manual

    Hello! Could You help me with my mysterious car? Nissan NP300, 2008 4WD, 2,5tDi manual. Driven almost 200 000km. When motor is cold, it won't idle. Car starts normally, and step on the gas you can drive it, but the driving is sometimes difficult, until the motor is warmed up. Then it works normally. No engine warning lights, and when connected with Computer, it shows that everything's OK. Local Diesel Specialists found, that when starting up rpm goes high (+1400rpm) and rail pressure high (+800 bar) and engine stops. They have files about that, but only remarkable thing, that Denso specialists found, was that in the first files the actual file pressure was higher than the target pressure. Then the fuel pump was removed, and sent to the Denso specialist, and they found no fault! EGR valve is new, Coolant temperature sensor is changed (my idea...) but no... Could it be crankshaft position sensor? I'm quite desperate with this car now. Could anybody help me?

      Glow plugs seem to be OK.My car wouldn't start up without glow. And glow plugs don't have anything to do with idling, in my opinion.

    Hey mate im from australia i have a 2003 ST-R 3.0 diesel navara and my biggest issue is the heater aircon doesent work when i say doesent work i mean nothing happens when i push the leaver to the right to turn on checked all fuses everything seems to be ok any ideas?

    Hi I have a 2.0 2011 diesel, I've always serviced my own cars, this is my first diesel, do you use engine flush? I've read you are not supposed to, I've read to use a cheap oil to flush with before putting in the expensive oil but even the cheap stuff is not cheap, is there a cheap oil I can use and what spec is it? Thx

      the oil maybe pricey but its nothing compared to the price of a deisel engine rebuild. diesel oils do have cleaning agents in them or atleast the ones ive bought do.

      MrVM41 I don't use engine flush. You shouldn't have to if you change the oil every 10k miles. Engine flush can, if you've neglected the engine for a good while, move all the shit down from the top and block the oil pathways and turbo feed.
