Thought the same thing at first with the relaxed low arm carriage, but the celebratory gestures (outstretched arm finger wag, fist raised across the finish line), sealed the deal. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Ingebrigtsen is someone he looks up to and aspires to be.
Although the camera doesn't show the line, you can see the clock showed the leader's split in 2:09.51, when Laros was third - so 1:47.27 leader-to-leader, a touch quicker for Laros.
Impressive tactical sense of Laros. Looked like Ingebrigsten...

72.7 first 400 might be the funniest thing I've ever seen. And these guys aren't 4:20 runners, most of these guys have PBs under 3:45.
By my calculations he covered the last 800 in 1:47.2, which, if correct, is insane. It would probably be enough to win the 800 final.
The camera angle did not show them hit the line @ 700 meters, but it was fast.
Last 700 in 1:31

@@hugocayssials Good find. I didn't see it as the video ran. TV coverage usually gives splits on screen.
Good that the commentator finally could differ between 🇦🇹 and 🇨🇭. The cameraman could obviously.
But the time does matter. It serves to prove that it is not wise to turn a 1500 m race into an 800 m race against someone with more speed.
That's gotta be like a 38.4 last 300 from Laros. Shit's crazy.
2nd was Kamenschak from Austria, not the Grosset from Switzerland ..
Commentators getting the second place runner mixed up for the whole race 😬
Announcer had no earthly idea who made that move lmao
Congrats Niels 🎉
73 second first lap.....HS girl's pace.....gonna lead to a fast close
It's a tactical race, so yeah.
Tactical races produce only one winner....they backfire for everyone else....but ya, Capt Obvious, it was tactical.@@santeenl
What you said was also capt obvious sooo@@billybud9557

A shame that it was so tactical. A bit more speed would've been nice :).
Fair enough, but I thought that the move Kamenschak made was awesome and made for a super interesting race
Quelle allure
Damn
Niels born in 2005 !
51.85
A real badass would take the lead and win from his own wit.
The commentator is so bad he cant even read
Al ne, on decko nije normalan
3:56???? That is a women's time for the 1500. What a joke.
His pb is 3:32, a woman wouldnt win the final sprint
Have you seen the Olympics??? He was 6th in the final and ran 3:29:54.... The 2nd time for an U20 ever!!!!!!
