1984 Whirlpool DU3003XL-0 Dishwasher Full Cycle 2023

An updated full cycle video of the DU3003XL-0. Background noise was kept to a minimum, but during the final rinse the refrigerator did finally turn on. I heard what sounds like some bearing noise from the pump, so I will be servicing that soon. As far as I know there has never been any maintenance performed to this dishwasher in the last 39 years. As always, it still works great, and it gets the dishes done cleaner and faster than any modern junk unit could. No inside shots on this one as I sold the GoPro a while back and I haven't gotten a different waterproof camera yet.

Yup still going as far as I can tell all original parts. Plus another identical unit, plus a 1986 Hotpoint dishwasher, a 1983 ge laundry pair, and 1984 Hotpoint range all going strong here.

The powdered Cascade! Love it! Wish I could still use it but it doesn’t react well with my water for some reason. Awesome video, love these old power cleans!

I had a similar dishwasher was like the machine. It took me sometime to get used to after having a kitchenaid for so many years in my old home

I’d love to find an old Hobart Kitchenaid. Whirlpool bought out kitchenaid (at least consumer line) a couple years after this unit was made. Of everything I’ve seen these whirlpools are second only to the Hobart units.

@@80sappliances not sure where maybe eBay?. Great dishwasher. I am used to the whirlpool now. But nothing like the old hobart kitchenaid s.
They sold out in the 90s

Wow, definitely sounds like it can clean off anything on those dishes.
Thats when dishwashers could wash and dry everything in less than 1 hour.
