It's been a while since any new videos, but I thought I'd edit a reupload one of my current videos. The original seemed way too long and there were people complaining about the overpowered music volume. So here it is! A short, 5-minute DIY without music to block out any narration!

This is a tutorial on the removal of the headlamps on the W204. I have the standard headlamps without the Bi-Xenon package, so I won't know for sure how this tutorial will hold up for those that do have Bi-Xenon headlamps. Nevertheless, good luck in your mods, and I hope that this video will help!

A well explained video. I have the Bi Xenon and the process is the same other than you have to disconnect the water feed line to the headlight washer pipe.
What a terrible design. Just to get a headlamp out??? Seems like a mechanic will charge at least $200. Design malfunction at its height, good job Mercedes Benz.
Anyone else having issues disconnecting the headlights? The plastic tabs on the back will not come out and whenever you apply pressure tiny plastic pieces come off like it’s breaking apart
Thanks for this tutorial. I have 2013 C250 sport coupe and these instructions matched almost exactly. I had trouble with the grill since mine has a mesh in it. Basically I had to punch the grill inward to make the clips pop. Scary, but it worked. Have you ever removed the rear bumper? I want to add parking sensors, but have not found any instructions on how to remove the bumper. Either way,, thanks!!!!!

So does the Bumber have to come off just to change the headlight? I called Mercedes and they charge $180 for the bumper on and $375 for the bumper off plus another 494 for one headlight assembly
You can do this yourself and save some money.

For anyone who thinks this is difficult or excessive as many have pointed out here, I'm assuming you've never owned a car newer than 1983. Most modern cars require removal of front bumper just to change BULBS let alone the entire assembly.
Are there any different between a 204 820 32 39 and a 204 820 47 39, to switch on my 2009 c300
Will this tutorial be useful for a 2012 C300 w204? Wondering if the assembly has changed much between the 08-11 and 12-14 models. Nice vid btw!

Mmmmm.......how come you only show how to remove the easy one ? Remove the left side......or change only the left bulb on the left light assembly.

I took mine off today, driver side is the same process. They skipped the part about how getting the light out is a task in itself and the 1 upside down screw was a doozy to get off.
Did you paint the housing?
Wow, mercedez really wants that service business lol. Older models were not this difficult just for a headlamp change. You pretty much have to take almost whole car apart

How do you unplug the cable?
Can someone PLEASE tell me what that torx is for, the one with the shortest screw and if it for the adjustment up/down of the headlamp do I need to loosen the screws before I adjust?
It's for headlight alignment. You don't have to, but it makes it easier if you loosen it first.

Hey, So i'm planning to buy a preowned 2016 C300
but it doesn't come with LED headlamp
so i'm planning to buy headlamp separately and install it myself do you think its a good idea?
( i was only in love with the design because of the headlamp)
Check to see if your headlamp harness has all the necessary wiring. I currently have a 2013 W204, and it came with halogen lights. I was planning to buy OEM Bi-Xenons but realized my headlight harness is actually missing the wires for adaptive lighting motors. Otherwise, if you still want to install them, it'll be one hell of a retrofit project. Good luck!

all have the upgraded LED headlight option?
but these C300s I'm planning to get all have regular headlight, but I notice they sell the Upgraded LED headlight online, exact same kind, so you think its good to just get it and mod it myself if i can't find a C300 with the headlight?

Did you paint your engine cover? Or get it wrapped? How much did it cost?
Painted it at home. Took about $20 worth of Krylon, and an afternoon.
mikonuj any way you could send me a step by step how you did it? And what colors? Unless it’s just plain white and black (don’t look at krylon colors often lol) will that paint withstand the heat the engine puts out?
By the way what merc is that with white engine cover or did you install that?
Matt ? That’s something you’d probably have to install, you can probably find it on eBay. I can’t imagine it being more than $20 (at least i hope it isn’t). But any extra little mods like that you can always find on eBay (I bought some).
