      Make no mistake. We are not merely "lucky." We did what the citizens in the UK have not yet done. We revolted. We fought, we bled, we died, we lost so much to be able to have the liberties we have today. Every single day, we are still fighting and dying for these rights.

    Stuck magazine at 25:00. Older pre B 75 s have a tighter magazine well dimension at the top past the release and by the sear cage. Dont try to alter by removing material that will compromise the frame. Use as is with older correct dimensioned magazines.

  • @dyingaintalivin8494
    @dyingaintalivin8494 6 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    Also that Pre B only takes Pre B mags. Not even standard 75 B mags. That's the reason for your FTF and FTE in the 1987 produced. The transitional model will run the new mags.

    • @mattarsenault7421

      That could be the case, but I would venture to guess, as others have also stated below and from what I have seen with not only IV8888 and MAC, but in my own experience, that it's more the Winchester USA crap ammo. As Eric stated in his last video with the CMMG Guard, where he also used USA Forged, the OAL on a lot of the USA Forged is out of SAAMI spec. This could cause the rounds to bind up in the magazine and not feed fast enough, causing a FTF. I experienced this in my own guns about 20% of the time in the only box of USA Forged I bought, needless to say I never bought any again. Steel case ammo can also caused FTEs but that's far more common on AR-15s than pistols.

    I managed to pick up a couple of those beat up old 75’s when they were available. They ran but were rough. I bought them for project guns. Sent the slides out for a Novak cut new front sight and gave them both a rust blue finish with new grips. Even gave one an extended beavertail that came out nice. With new springs, grips, and finish they look and run great. Nothing saved over the price of new but the experience and nostalgia of these is priceless.

    We got CZ75s just like these at the gun licence exams in Czech Republic recently. Basically, If you do an exam in the Czech Republic, CZ75 is what you get to handle (along with a .22 rifle and a double barrel shotgun, usually). The particular pistol we had to demonstrate safe handling, malfunction clearing, field strip and assembly on was pretty much in a similar state of wear as some of these ones. When I shot it before as part of a pistol shooting training, it failed to feed a couple times, but again, more opportunity to practice malfunction clearing :)
    Now, for the actual shooting part of the licence exam (15m, standing) we got a much nicer example of a newer, less worn CZ75.
    Keep up the good work and spread the love of the CZ ;)

    The mag problem tends to happen to older CZ with the modern mags (don't know if anyone know the exact dates). Older frames are slightly tighter, and some modern mags don't even fit enough to feed. There wa a dude around here that specialised in modifying (dremelling) the frames to solve that.

    Eric is wearing a Surplus US Army, ECW (Extreme Cold Weather) Fleece. You can get the fleece's at MidwayUsa for like $25 or $30. They're very comfortable and do keep you warm. With one caveat, the wind will go right thru them...hence they're not wind proof. If it's a chilly day with wind...I would wear something else. I liked mine so much, I got a second one. They are true to size too. If you want it strictly for first base layer, then I would get a size smaller.

      I've never been a fan of steel or aluminum case ammo.
      I've never had a problem with the Winchester white box value packs or the UMC. Both are loaded pretty weak but punch holes in paper fine.
      It's been years since I bought any but the American Eagle use to be a little hotter than most cheap ammo.
      Walmart had brass case new Federal 100 packs for $19 in 9mm last week. Never tried it though.

    I do hear that "ghost train" in the distance @28:48,oops wrong video.
    During the last decade of the "Cold War" days,the CZ-75 is the only pistol adopted by Russian special military units that's NOT a Russian design pistol(in the 1984 movie,"Red Dawn",there is a Soviet Airborne troop holding up a pistol and its a CZ 75. Fast forward to the 1st decade 2000s,there was a firearm reading magazine talking about CZ 75s and Soviets have adopted some batch of CZ 75 pistols and was shown in the original RD movie ).

    CZ-75s: Beautiful, Comfortable, Precise. Well... maybe not so beautiful in this case, but still. They're easy to fall in love with.

    Like Col. Cooper said "IF I had to use a 9mm it would be a CZ 75" Since he knew a thing or 2 about defensive pistols you should listen. 1 big problem about CZ's is you can't own just 1.(I own 3) Buy your first and you'll know. I've volunteered as an RSO for a defensive pistol class. I have a CZ 75b Omega that has taught many students to not only shoot but instill confidence to continue to learn. I've noticed that once students start hitting what they aim at you got them hooked! If you purchase on you'll be hooked also.

    Winchester steel case ammo is complete garbage. bought a case cause its a deal. Ive run it in my new CZ's, Glocks, Beretta, XD, and they have caused failures in every single one. Every 30 rounds on average i had failures. In my opinion its in large part that the COAL is a little too long.

      I agree. I have had nothing but issues with steel case winchester. Dirty stuff and causes all kinds of malfunctions for my
      Sigs, Springfields and Walther. I'll take Tulammo over that stuff.
      But as said earlier it is great for malfunction drills.

    Traded my Gen 1 M&P for a CZ SP-01 Phantom a few months back. Best firearms-related decision I ever made. I'm no expert, but it's the gun I always do best with at the range. As a nice bonus, the double-action trigger pull is smooth enough that it's one of the only guns I can shoot reasonably well in that mode. The only downside is that it's a bit on the large side for carry. I'll likely look into a CZ-75 compact when I go for my carry permit.

    Oh how glorious... as a CZ-aholic this is RIGHT up my alley (although I hope those mags don't let you down, Mec-Gar replacements or "+10%" springs are mandatory for all CZ's IMO as are CGW Trigger return springs). Good on ya guys, this is one COOl load of pistols and just a great vid.

    Moss has a Dual tone FDE and Black Shadow 2 in stock. Test it. Ordered a Spring kit and short reset disconnector from CGW for my TriStar L-120. My Shadow 2 doesn't need a thing done to it. Runs great out of the box. Real Steel is good for the long term. Good shooting.

    I have bought no less than 5 of the CZ 70's. The only ammo that we found to shoot without double feeding and the hull hanging, was Lillier and Bellot. South American, high dollar American ammo and EVERYTHING else gave us trouble. Go figure. Fantastic little pistol

  • @brisirina
    @brisirina 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Got me one of them good condition CZ75Bs from Buds and the pistol can shoot far better than I can shoot it!
    I'm planing on restoring the one I received but am thinking about doing a whole makeover as well. Was thinking about doing all my own gunsmithing on it like changing out the trigger and hammer with a CGW pro package; sandblasting this and cerakoting it; adding "modern" sights; replacing the lanyard and changing out the grips. Hmmm decisions, decisions!
