Took my PCR on an impromptu trip to the range after work tonight. I cannot even convey how much I really love this pistol. It is just an amazing pistol that conceals as well it shoots.

I dont conceal carry, yet. But the PCR does carry naturally, points and shoots like a dream. Much better than any stick glock that I've run. Only my opinion. I've stabled the G19 wnd now only carry the PCR and a 3" .357.

The PCR is a great pistol, I have this one and it is one of my favorites for sure! Very accurate, feels great in hand, decocker is great, loaded round indicator is nice too and also the serrated trigger is nice. That rubber grip is awesome for carry as well. Mine has been 100% reliable. CZ makes possibly the best 9mm's in the world, in my opinion. I have many of their pistols and they're all very solid and accurate.

I bought the 75 Compact (safety, no decocker) and I love it. Anyone that is on the fence about a CZ really needs to pull the trigger. I've shot a P-07, SP-01, a 75B, and I own a 75 Compact.. All of them have been incredible guns.

I picked up mine last Friday and took it to the range right away. From the moment I held it in the shop to the first five rounds I shot for my first grouping...I was completely and utterly amazed! What a comfortable grip! What a pistol! I've even set my G19 aside, nothing against the Glock I love it. Yet for conceal carry, it feels too blocky and I always felt self-conscious when carrying it, like the printing was too obvious. The CZ75D PCR, for me at least, defeats that. It feels so comfortable when carrying that I'm able to enjoy my days out without worrying about printing. Its fun to shoot and great to have with for everyday carry. Thanks ***** for such a great review! Keep up the good work!

I finally got my hands on a PCR last month. I went in to my local shop and had them order one and the guy told me that it could take months before they could get one. Two weeks after they ordered it, I got a call that it had come in and was I shocked at how fast their supplier was able to get one and to have it in my hands. I am very happy to have this CZ in my collection!

I found this review after I brought home my CZ75 D (PCR) and I have a long deep seeded love for the CZ75 and now I have one I can carry, I pulled my old Galco Royal Guard model RG250 holster out of my closet and it fits like a glove. Bonus: Mine came new in the box from my local gun shop and it had 2 CZ factory mags labeled “.40 12” round on one side and “9mm 15” round on the other!!!

      Paper Cut
Old comment but true as can be.
      CZ's have it all.
      Reliability is 99.99999%
      Ergonomic Perfection
      Accuracy Excellence
      Sexiness 10/10
      Price is right.
      You just can't go wrong.
I think the only 1 of the main models I don't back 100% is the Phantom. But even that gets minimal complaints from me. I just don't like the grip or the fact that you can't change them out. The sights are a little annoying, and the trigger isnt that great, although I haven't shot more than 500 rds through it. I might trade it in for a P10 or put it towards a Scorpion.

    • @theremnant216
      @theremnant216 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

E Dogg Funny enough, I feel the exact same way. The phantom is the only CZ I've ever touched that I didn't fall in love with. I have every urban grey model except the sp01 and every single CZ I have touched or shot has been amazing. I actually own 1 pistol that ISN'T a cz variant out of the 8 that I own. Shot my 1st CZ, got rid of everything I owned to welcome in CZ variants. Couldn't be happier with em.

This is a great gun, all you said is true. The first day I got it, just went to the range and fired 200+ rounds and no FTF no FTE , no hiccups, nothing. Just nice shooting and its so precise you would not believe it. I have tried and own them all, Glock ,Sprinfield , Para, Sig ,Beretta, Kimber, Colt , you name it and this is my carry gun. I dont know why some people complain about the trigger weight in double action, because it is actually nice and when you carry it, you carry it on the half cocked position which is not all the way the double action weight on the trigger.i was making less than half inch groups at 21 feet, about an inch at 45 feet and a little less than 3 inches at 75 feet. And that was out of the box the first day. I can not say enough good things about this gun. My next CZ would be a SP-01. Thanks for your great review.

I own a CZ PCR as well as a 75B and a RAMI. I also own a fine set of aging eyes which makes it difficult for me to see the alignment lines that make it possible to field strip these pistols. Eventually, learned that when the hammer is in the half-cock position and the slide is moved to the rear until it just barely touches the hammer, the lines are perfectly aligned. Now, I could strip the pistol with my eyes closed, but I don't. CZ's are just too pretty not to look at!

I have the CZ 75 DB, the full size decocker model. I too found that there is a little trigger creep and that it was gritty, however after about 500 rounds it was smooth as butter. I've now put about 1500 rounds through it and it is my favourite pistol to shoot. The fit and feel in the hand is superior to either my Sig P226 or my 92FS. I love all three but the CZ just fits in the hand better than anything.

Love your reviews, very detail and to the point. I've own this same pistol for 6 months and love it. I find the trigger to be good from factory, no adjustments needed after cycling trigger after 200-300 times between range and snap cap. DA is smooth and single is predictable; some travel on SA but not bad. Not gritty at all very smooth

Thank you for the artful and professional review. I have medium hands, so I went just to check one out a few days ago (at a shop that only had one). It felt "right" immediately (better for me than Glock and various Sigs 320, 226 etc.) Well sculpted, light, all metal, excellent fit and finish. I've had only 125 rounds (147 grain) through it, but it was smooth firing and I had groupings better than my long time carry. I was very comfortable with the trigger pull and break. Accuracy is superb. I installed some Truglo sights for easier pickup, and this pistol has become my favorite. Nice review.

Thanks for doing this review, this is my first and only pistol, I've owned for about a year now and I've shot 2000 rounds through it. I love it. I had CZ custom do a trigger job, lighten the hammer spring slightly and add a competition hammer as well as a P-01 style trigger and some nice wood grips. It is my concealed carry gun. I chose this for my everyday carry gun (Vedder Holster Kydex...rocks). Built like a tank. Spot on accurate because of weight and low bore axis. Balaced and accurate...wow. I replaced the control rod (OEM is polymer) with a steel one from Cajun Gunworks. Also replaced the firing pin with an extended pin from CZ Custom, the pin block spring which cleans up the trigger even further and the firing pin retaining pin with a rolled pin also from CZ Custom (DON’T do the solid pin option...voids your firing pin warranty). There is talk of problems with fractures in the firing pin retaining pin, but so far so good and they cost $2 to replace. Keep a couple handy...don’t dry fire without snap caps.. Per the video, it is one tight gun. Prefer a lobster claw to rack as overhand can be hit or miss. Requires a modicum of violence...lol. My wife can barely rack it at all, but it cycles fast and furious under fire. And did I mention it was accurate (last trip to the range 30 rounds centert (ish...my wife fit her fist through the hole) out of 30 rounds at 7 yards w/ tactical reload). Double tap center mass to head drills...30 rounds at 5 yards...3 shot bursts from low ready w tactical reloads with PAR times set at 3 seconds...no misses, no malfunctions. It’s heavy for a carry, especially if you like those guns made out of the stuff they make tic tac boxes out of...but man does it help with recoil control. That low bore axis...brilliant...damn. Get you some. You’ll totally freak out the spray and pray Glock kids with their Nathan’s hot dog length extended magazines.

I have a CZ 75B in .40 SW and a P-O6, also in .40 SW and I love both of them. Very accurate, easy to carry for CCW. Much under-rated and under-promoted pistol. I own, also, a CZ 75 in the Cold War Commemorative in 9mm with Russian writing and the Hammer and Cycle and a Red Star.

      @Crowbrother7 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@oldbuzzard76 Answering your recent request to my 10 year old post, I said they were underrated because they were and still are not advertised as much as other guns. Now they do advertise in mags etc, the plastic versions. Not so much back in the day with the P-01 and P-06 (not made anymore). The guns are fantastic, I just like the steel and hammer models more. I still own my P-01 and have no thoughts of giving it up!

Thank you for your diligence in mentioning the P-210. That series sig (P-220) was also the first to use the ejection port and cam-block lock up that Glock and most all pistols designed since use.

I just fired one of these today as a rental on a whim, and I must say, it is a champ. I've been a die-hard Sig man for many years, and I think I just found a new favorite toy. It barely has any kick, and it runs smooth as butter (maybe a bit better than my 229, shh!) The range officer said these are hard to come by, too. I'm officially on the prowl. Thanks for the review!

Look at Damascus gun shop online, they have a great selection of CZ's and are awesome people to deal with. Talk to Michael or Aaron and they will treat you very well. I've bought several CZ's from them and have been very pleased with their responsiveness and their selection.

The trigger can be made better with some polishing and a few spring changes. My son and I took about six hours one night. And the results were incredible. My son, of course, did most of the work. He is studying aerospace engineering. I would have never started it by myself. But anyone could do it. It just takes time. Great pistol. Thanks for the review.

I have the CZ P01 which is the railed version. Over 5k rounds with no problems even in defensive classes. I use Froglube since I got it with no issues. I did install a 16lb Wolfspring hammer spring to reduce the weight of the DA pull and installed a Cajun Gun Works Kit 4 Hammer kit to make the SA trigger pull nice and crisp at 3.5lbs. Also been using a Bladetech OWB holster for classes. Been great.

Bought one as my first auto, flawless break in, more accurate than I am, and I feel safe with the decocker and first shot behind a double action trigger pull. I would recommend it for wheel gun aficionados who want to try an auto for carry.

This is my edc gun. Awesome pistol! Over 7000 rounds without a hiccup! Thin cocobolo grips from cz prevents clothing from catching on rubber grips. After 1500 rounds, the trigger becomes butter. Best pistol I've ever owned or fired.

Don't worry, shouldn't be an issue. Have fun, it is a great shooter. You can spend more $ customizing it than it costs. I keep my protection guns stock, exept sometimes the sights. The more you shoot it the better it gets.

I have this gun for yrs and its a keeper. But. These come w strong recoil spring which keeps it from functioning w plinker ammo. I obtained, installed lighter spring for range work and different extractor spring as well. They're cz specialized smiths that can do awesome additions if you like.

A local shop had a P-01 in the back and didn't even know it. He just pulled it out not knowing what was in the box and there it was. Needless to say I bought it.
It came with 10 round magazines but whatever, just seeing one of these guns was worth it. I ordered some magazines online.

Great review! This video helped convince me to finally pick up a PCR earlier this year! Being off-roster (no retail) in Califronia, they are even harder than usual to come by here and I'm glad I snagged one when I did.
I agree with all points in this review, though I'm still getting used to manipulating the reduced slide area compared to my Sigs.

I wanted a PCR last year but could not find one anywhere. Decided to just buy the CZ75 Compact that my LGS said they just got in a few hours before I called. When he pulled it from the case my heart stopped and I had to fight to keep my poker face. It was a PCR. Because the pistol itself said "Compact" on the side they didn't know what they actually had and tagged it wrong. I casually bought it for $500 and it has become my fav pistol, and I own 20+. CZ makes the best pistols in the world IMO.

I live in California and I'm turning 21 in about a month (I can finally buy a handgun). There is a CZ 75 compact PCR at a local gun shop, to say the least I want it really bad. I hope someone else doesn't buy it before I even get the chance because who knows if I'll get another chance living in The People's Republic of California.

Just picked one up [been waiting myself for one]. Got the PCR with the Aluminum, frame in the de-cocker variant. The only mod, is that I went with the thinner, aluminum grip panels from CZ. While the stock rubber grip is very nice, I wanted to slim the gun and grip even further. Thanks for all your great reviews, and your patriotic sign-off. Great stuff!

I've had my CZP06 .40SW for 4yrs now and it's far more accurate than I'll ever dream of being. I've had no problems with this pistol regarding FTF and it seems to like all manufacturers when it come to ammo. I've almost exclusively shot 165gr. fmj through it but I'm sure 180gr would be fine too. The only mod. I've done is to go with a stainless guide rod for it, and the mags are a bit spendy but I've never had a problem with them. I've shot well over 3K rounds and it's my go to CCW.

I have a very (rare CZ) the CZ 75 semi compact. For some unknown reason this gun doesn't seems to be very common or popular. It;s look almost the same as this one. But full grip with gives you 16+1 and it has a compact slide. Just kind of a mixture. Don't know if it's save to say "best from both words". Thanks for this great review! As usual you are great source of entertaining and information.

Update--Love your reviews of the cz and it's platforms such as the Sphinx and TriStar cz clones (hate that word).
My TriStar imported canik c100 chrome lightweight compact has 1400 trouble free rounds through it. Differences from the cz is that it has a manual safety, steel guide rod, and holds 15 rounds in the mag gar mags.
I have never seen a cz except for a 1988 cz75; my pistol accepted it's mags!
Excellent reviews of pistols which should give glocks competition!!
