    I have the TiRant V3. I absolutely love it. I got the black one with the carbon fiber scale. It’s great looking and very nicely made. I have been using serrated utility blades in it and it works great for most everyday cutting needs. I was never a fan of serrated blades until I could simply change them out when they become dull.

    Excellent comparison and thanks for bringing to my attention other utility blade designs.

      Thank you, US! Great comparison. Other than Walmart box knives, I could use an EDC version. Thanks again. Look forward to V3 as well!

    I saw V2 first. Went to V1 as you hinted. I really wish V2 had the Group single image with Names-cost-size etc = your work was integral to my upgrading an older model, thx

    I personally prefer something similar to the Gerber eab or Coast dx 126 for an EDC utility knife. I have considered the Tirant v3, but the DX126 is like a regular tiny pocket knife with an exchangeable blade. That's what I want in a utility knife. I don't need a box cutter.

    Great test comparison video, thanks for it! So which are your top2 favorite knives from the V1 and V2 videos combined? My favorite -and i really believe that it is the best and ultimate "EDC utility knife" (or "EDC knife" for that matter)- is the TiRant Razor V3 with the MM-ruler scale (custom titanium scale).

      Hey! Its a tough choice but I'd say my most carried/ used are the Gerber Prybrid and the Exceed Tirant V3! Prybrid is more of the beater I know I can rely on and the Tirant is the more casual pocket carry. Awesome scales you've gor on the TiRant! Great to see them branching out and giving people more custimization options. Its wild how many utility knives for edc are popping up on the market. Almost time to make a new video lol.

      @@UrbanSurvivor Thanks for your answer! IRL i would get "tired" of carrying the hefty Gerber Prybird always with me, not so with the Tirant Razor V3 (sleek, unobtrusive, light-weight), but i get your beater point haha. I definitely try to keep the V3 in nice presentable condition for the extra joy. Yeah the market is wild (AliX, Kickstarter) but i could tell right away, if a new product were a real competitor or yet another meh and they always lose out against the V3, from my perspective. So i am very much done with buying more such knives, or even looking at them more than 4sec.

    As an electrician that does strictly remodels this is an absolute essential tool. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI Being able to precision cut any material with a light weight tool is priceless.I upgraded to this Dewalt 20v from a competitor's 12v. The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.

    The teale designs is sweet. If he could make his own version with a bit driver like Milwaukee or Klein, it would be a must have for me. That would be the grailed Utility knife

    Nicely done 👌 but I think that there is a problem with the topic itself. Firstly some people need just box opening tool ( not even a box cutter) like slice ( because slice is not a utility knife) ather need a real heavy duty tool, so in reality we are talking about few categories of tools... Second problem is even worst 😳. There is to many products out there, and to much ground to cover. Just Stanley, Bosch and Milwaukee are offering not only tools like utility knives, but also some more edc friendly options.
    It was great test and really nice presentation, just category itself is pretty "ungrateful". Still it was nice to see few new and interesting products.

    I am a big olight fan, have many of their products, and do not mind proprietary batteries, even ink cartridge....but a utility blade?? The whole purpose of carrying a "razor knife" IS specifically to be able to get a blade at every corner....big fail olight, big imo, and my opinion is what matters for me.

    Don't any of em look like they'd be worth a damned to do a real days work. I can't think of a thing in the construction field any would outperform a $15 Lenox knife. Unless to sharpen your pencil. Probably be pretty cool to whip out and open your Amazon package. That's just my opinion though

    Buyer be aware !!!!!! All these blades will need lock tight on screws ! Before use !

    • @CDXRK
      @CDXRK ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't understand why this is relevant, if you mean the blade holding screws( the screws that pin the blade in place) you wouldn't need it as you would tighten it regularly after changing the old blades, plus body screws usually come with it and if they don't I doubt it would be detrimental to the knife or the user same as every other knife. Could you clarify what you mean ?

    • @grimispotato245
      @grimispotato245 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CDXRK uh how does a blade hold screws in ? What I'm saying is that put some lock tight so the screws don't come loose ?

    • @CDXRK
      @CDXRK ปีที่แล้ว

      @@grimispotato245 yeah I understand that's what your saying but why? I don't understand why you would disassemble a knife solely to put locktight if the manufacturer hasn't. By "blade holding screws" I meant the screws that hold the blade in. They way you understood it wouldn't make Sence in context of my sentence. I just feel like that this isn't a buyer beware situation as it's just something you prefer to do, especially if the manufacturer hasn't or dosent suggest it. Sorry if I seem like I'm being rude it's just you might know more than me and I'm eager to learn
