The 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue features all the painstaking historic construction methods of the famous '59 Reissues with a few historically-accurate spec differences that allow it stand on its own. Like the 1958 originals, it has narrow frets which help more of the fingerboard wood to be heard in the tone profile. It also has a round, chunky neck profile for a full feel and maximum bending leverage. And finally it has a beautiful plain maple top; each is unique and full of character. Available in a variety of classic sunburst shades.

Beautiful! Finally a demo that demonstrates the difference in tone when you back off the volume on the guitar a bit. Especially demoing the middle position with backing the volume down a bit on one pickup. Best guitar demo I've ever seen on the net.

Just bought a 2007 R8 - WOW 😮 I was skeptical it was worth the extra $ but it’s so much better than I expected. Blows away all my other expensive guitars.

I'm getting one I've got 10 Les Paul's a total of 15 Gibson's altogether Fender Stratocaster , Ibanez , multitude of other well known guitars . 25 total , its been 7 years since I purchased a new guitar . Half my collection is used, especially half of my collection of 13 amplifiers. I have stomp boxes I bought brand new in 1976 when I was 13 years old it's about time I bought a brand new R Series Guitar I have two purchase used ! It's time I purchased a new one.!.

Its said that its a Plain Top why does it look so flamy? Can someone explain?
R8s vary. The most desirable flame tops are put on the R9s but R8s do get 'lesser' flame tops. They can be anywhere between totally plain to the kind of flame on this guitar.

If you can get a flame that good on a 58 why spend all the extra money on a 59
Bandana Dee Isaac oh I wish I could get a 59 for that cheap here in Australia a 59 new is around 10k and 8k for a 58 and used is still around 7k for a 59
@Fâché 58s don't have drilled out bodies, and their necks are not that huge, at least not on the newer ones
Way too expensive. I would rather have an old Aria Pro than have that marriage ending nightmare hiding in my house.
