    Mini foam paint roller pads work great to fill the innards of the lower legs

      @@CoolBikeProjects I have a Judy HydraCoil 'C' and was too scared to take it apart because no one had any content on how. I had found a kit of seals and the like from that era, but still was too scared to mess it up.
      The original owner put maybe 250 miles on the bike and Covid got me on it.
      I now have >2,000 miles on it and thanks to th-cam.com/video/HHr9znwpwmQ/w-d-xo.html and this th-cam.com/video/D0eOxbnzDQA/w-d-xo.html (to prep it) it is still on the original chain and no measurable wear.
      Now I know how to service the shock.
      Thanks so much!!!

    Why you didn't put new seals from repair kit?

    • @CoolBikeProjects
      @CoolBikeProjects  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The gray seals you see on the bench were actually the wrong size. They were too deep for the 99’ Forks. After cleaning and inspecting the black seals I decided to reuse them. The part of the seal that had gone bad was the interior foam rings. The originals had dried up and disintegrated. It rides great now and the seals are holding up well.
