  • Would be happy to hear some thoughts on improving the refilling of the catridge, although it seems to have worked and have been using the fork now for 2 weeks, as of writing this. I feel air removal could be better…
Interested in bike parts and accessories. Especially quality made parts. Enjoy history of cycling too! This is what I like to bring to my videos and to share my slim knowledge with you.

Very well done. Thank you so much for explaining the various parts of the RockShox Judys. I have a set on my old Gary Fisher Montare and I'm pretty sure they are shot.

That’s great to hear. My motivation is always to recycle things. I’ve got a video of this fork used in my Emery Tertio build. It’s in the bike build playlist

Preparing to rebuild my 97 Judy XC. It's been awhile, but I seem to recall that my Judy has at least one red spring. Does anyone know anything about that? Going back on my Schwinn MOAB where metal flake gold, meets metal flake red!

Great video thanks. Please can you say where you got the elastomers from? I need some new ones but cannot find anywhere. Thanks

SD shox spain ebay. USA theres a guy on youtube who gives link to a seller. Asia - alibaba, but you’ll need to contact sellers looking for the correct dia and hardness. About 50A shure is ideal

Sorry can’t remember, I would say it is very close as you’ve suggested judging by the video

I also don’t think 118mm will change much haha

Seller on eBay Spain. I’ve been thinking of tying out ones off aliexpress, but you need to find the correct hardness. Closet I found was 75a. I believe you need 50a about.

@@atboy4342 @ATBOY Thanks, there is one place in the US that sells kits, but matching the shock to the part number for the kit isn't straightforward...at least for the Manitou shocks I have. I've found a US supplier of 3/4" polyurethane elastomer 'rods' and ordered a 4-foot section of 50A (i'm a heavy rider) for the same price as an on-line kit. I'll let you know how it goes!

@@rogelio6993 If you can find cheaper MCUs, you will need 19-20mm dia with a 50-70A hardness…I put this in the description in part 1 of the video. It’s easy to find. But in europe I couldn’t find a cheaper source as all companies sell in large order’s .
