Love love love these videos highlighting older formats. It gives so much context to how broken some cards were and how yugioh has changed/evolved over time. Nostalgia is also good for the soul every once in a while. DBG I’m giving you your flowers for this one 💐💐
4:00 the whole point of Elo is that it's a better metric than winrate because we don't know the skill levels of the people they played against just by looking at the latter.
Always love these videos highlighting older formats! I personally don't like Imperial as much as some of the other formats from around this time (especially given how dominant Tomato Control is here), but it has a fair share of fans. I'm really excited for you to cover the next format though as while it's also Tier 0 the mirror match is much more interesting imo.
truely a Tier 0 format, top cut is 100% Tomato Ctrl these days! 😢 Relinquished finished runner-up twice initially, but the many other competitive decks from Treasure have virtually disappeared...
NoC is really busted in this era because you get to look through their entire deck which allows you to guess their unknowns. IDK if they actually play with that ruling though.
Duelingbook states to not apply any deck verification clauses (see their goat-format page), and that's how it's usually handled by the largest Retro YGO communities as well
You gotta work on your pronunciation of words if your aspiration is to be a color commentator for anything. Especially Yu-Gi-Oh, which has some of the most nonsense names. Love the work tho, just rooting for you to be great

As much as I hate seeing fiendsmith everywhere, there’s no way you rather play this format than the current 😝😝
