Titans are my favorite thing in the world. They are not efficient, but i love them all the same. If you want to do something with them, try starting with Neteret of many names - my beloved. Not only she has utility of inspiring researcher, but cost of new paths for her is just 20. I like to use them in dormant state, as a super combatant for nation that doesn't have any. It's nice to have something you can give greatsword of sharpnes and lightning resistance to go take a throne with 20 watchers and a monolith, or a stray golem. And as someone like arco, ermor or other human nations, you don't have a lot of SC material.
There is something to be said about also just picking something for fun, especially in single player. I didn't know that about Many Names, that actually makes that chasis more interesting, as that is one of the reasons demi-lich is so good. Also, hate Monolith + watchers, simple as.

I know you are not planning on it, but a video on Oceanea would be awesome and apprciated by me at least. Kinda wondering how the sirens getting glam 2 affects the nation. Glam pretender/glam summons and siren mage core recruitable could be a very interesting new end game.

Fyi having the ifrit sacred troops cost 3 holy points is a buff going from Dominions 5 to 6 because originally they were recruitment limited to 1 per turn. So now I'm theory getting 3 per turn is better, although I'm still not sure if I would want to given their glaring weaknesses
Did they Nerf the Dwarven Hammer when i wasn't looking? I could have sworn it gave a 2 gem discount, but this is 2 games in a row you've said it only does 1.
So I think people kind of really underestimate how well the Houri do in melee if they are in magic as long as you give them some weapon that isn’t just a fist to kill stuff with. All the various Jinn abilities are pretty BS in 1v1s and she only needs to poke most stuff with something like a lightning spear twice or so before they get through glamor and unseen. You basically need to be a big boi giant or also have magical gear on an elf to win against them in melee in my experience, Pokémon items can be problematic but attack rear works sometimes. In 5 I liked getting them for like 6 turns to do assassin work before swapping over to largely shaytan for blood stuff.
@@BabelBuilder Repel definitely helps protect her a fair bit but honestly against most things even completely naked they still can’t hit her 1v1 for like 20 rounds. The issue is that without a weapon she will kill herself getting repeatedly repelled and punches for like 10 so it still works against old human mages but most other things have essentially infinite time to try to whack her to death/just wait for her to suicide on repel checks before she hurts them. *Oh and magic weapons all tend to give like +3/+3 att/def while her fist is giving her -1/-1 so it’s a pretty massive swing.
The last time I played Ubar, I spawned on an island archipelago, basically a group of islands connected by river crossings. It was fantastic as I could fly my armies of Jinn wherever I wanted and had almost no fear of counterattack.
The Divine Glyph pretender with Farcaster and Solar weapons blessings is some crazy shit. Order scale too, you can get a lot of of that thing. 8 2 2 3 0 0 3 scales, 5 fire 6 astral, lets you go farcaster/solar weapons and 1 extra point for Arcane Command. Ubar with camels and Jhinn is pretty broken.
My go-to for Ubar is Wooden colossus 5E7N3G4B Regen Surge 2 reinvig. Gets you that needed glamour boost, good enough to climb blood. 6 dom can give 1 Sultan and 3 ifrits as bodyguards every 2 turns, just need to give them a fire pearl to repel with and some body armor and they can go ham. I also take 2 luck to try and get the Ghul mother and forge horror helms, using that death gem income, or just spam Dark knowledge.
Weird niche but if you are doing a disciples game, and ubar is the disciple, they can get their future capital in half the time. Dormant disciples wake up in half the time their pretender does, and that triggers the future capital.
Honestly I like Na'ba more than Ubar. It relies too much on its Jinn who will, as you said, either dominate or get dominated by its counters. Na'ba at least has Giants, giant Elves, and the ability to summon Jinn if you want. Oh and Na'ba has a lot of free birds with your nice cavalry. And all the Jinn for Na'ba are sacred compared to Ubar having exactly 1 sacred Unit while the rest of its 4 sacreds are Commanders. Oh yeah and Na'ba can bring out your big gun Mages faster than Ubar can unleash its Ifrits who are, while significantly more powerful than a Malikah, have significantly more counters and weaknesses such as Magic and Heat power along with the usual iron and salt vulnerabilities. Overall, to summarise, I prefer Na'ba because it's more versatile. And Malikahs are *hotter* than Ifrit Sultans 😏
role-playing with Na'Ba is so much fun, im always massing human armies and only using Ardite as platoon officers to make my armies look more stylistic and thematic
Good video for me as never played this one. Looks like very historical Arab raiding/slave/logistics/tax. The Sassanids, Byzantines, Egyptians had enough trouble not dealing with that without the invisible demons.

One of the things I love about Dominions is its use of mythology as the basis for most nations. Doubly so, when its stuff that is not common in pop culture!
looking at Ubar I think I want to go for a rainbow chassis. I want the god to have Marid access. you need some path diversity and having some blood on your god to go straight to summoning gulas off of some scouts or your cheap out of fort commanders blood hunting some of your bad provinces to get an early blood economy going. gulas get the d1 searches for you as well. bless wise you could lean into either helping your Jinn thug or a mage bless for your awesome evocations. looking at a Great sage with F4W2E2S5D4B4. Dom 5 Turmoil 2 Sloth 2 Heat 3 Growth 1 Luck 1 Magic 3. Heat hurts but Growth and good events might help a bit there. Bless wise Enchanted blood Farcaster Reinvigx3 and 1 Strong vitality. 2 points left seems legit. Weak dom and reliance on out of fort recruitment in the earlygame would be an issue. astral death blood and marids are the late game. would want to fight fore some nature mage to seduce or find some indies to make a regen item. as fun as a titan is this nation already has some SC options so I'd skip it. Edit: Marids can summon Marids and the Black King just needs 1 more water to cast it. so that is an unreliable way to get them. though to get consistent access to them you want it on your god.

True, with the magic power, their stats are deceptively better than at first glance. I long weapon would also help with repels in that case too.

Horror helms would be really good on those genies! Do you ever find the fire weakness on the wooden colossus to be an issue?
