Reincarnation does have a chance to have your mage spawn back in your capital as a different (or the same) being, in addition to increasing your dominion score. Again, only if they die in your dominion and have xp Because all your mages are sacred having heroism bless can be a fun bless too. I've tried some combination of larger, heroism, undying and enchanted blood imprisoned. It was expensive and the sacreds were really beat up with afflictions after expansion, but very few of them actually died. Having cheap monkey arrow and lance screens helps. You can throw in unbreakable bless too which helps keep the afflictions down a bit
Another highly underrated bless is Slowing Weapons. Especially ehen you have sacred archers. Quicken your team, slow the enemy team, all of a sudden you have a 4x turn advantage.
The vidyahara not only break you into air, and can communion but they can also flash research for you. Where the other summons are at 25+ gems the vidyahara are only 15. Much cheaper for early research and honestly not terrible paths. They let you storm and get mistform on your army which is great considering you're going to be snatching quickness later and need things outside of barkskin to make your sacreds tankier.
I found a Kamadhenu pretender with Etherealness was both a good expander and really helped make up for Kailasa's sacreds' since both they and the Kamadhenu have Awe, so you get a nasty double layer of protection and you can fix your offense fairly easily by casting Enlarge + Strength of Giants
@@BabelBuilder D6 T2S2H2 G2M2M2. Hurts for the summon potential for sure but helps greatly with income/research via growth, plus dom 6 means you can recruit a lot of the sacreds. I feel like Kailasa just gets so many spell buffs (especially via the battlefield wide Quickness buff, gosh) that you can be a bit more selective with the bless. Admittedly part of this was trying to find a way to get the Kamadhenu to work since it's a cool concept, plus she gets a 170 supply bonus for the army she's attached to as well, but with only astral+nature to start and no regeneration innately I was struggling to find a way to make her work until I tried Etherealness and I was able to hit the 20 provinces by 12 turns benchmark with that bless. The problem with Kailasa's sacreds is of course the utter lack of armor that you can't really fix without using something like either Stygian Skin or waiting until you get Stoneskin, but as it happens you get innate Earth 3 casters and getting Etherealness to an entire army is a lot harder than using Group Stoneskin/Ironskin
@@BabelBuilder I think my initial comment disappeared so apologies if this is a duplicate, but the pretender herself was S8N2, with D6 T2S2H2 G2M2M2 for scales. My thinking was that Kailasa gets so many buffs that are easy to spread across the battlefield but you need high gold for your mages and sacreds in all your forts. The misfortune hurts your gem income, but etherealness is a hard buff to spread across an entire battlefield and you already have easy access to Giant Warriors, Gift of Giant Strength, and Group Stoneskin via your casters anyway
5:40 Stand-Out feature for me (after the price) on the Makarta is that 14 Defence! They're going to die if they're hit but that's going to cause some whiffs in melee.
@@BabelBuilder At that price they are great chaff whether they live or not but the defence score really boosts that up. I'd also be actively looking for Barbs to throw sticks at -a nation that uses different armies for different enemies.
A funny idea I had at the dead of night is that for the last Early Age Nation you showcase be Ermor, the New Faith. Then the first Middle Age Nation you showcase be Ermor, Ashen Empire. Is it dark and a tad morbid? Yes. But will it be funny? Most likely!
Hi Babel! This is one of my favorite nations. I don't usually get to catch steams (I watch all the vods) and it would be awesome if you could name this prophet after me. "Valendr" Great video, looking forward to it!
1:02:00 Not to be able to craft with the Rudra looks like it sucks but you can just Summon in something with the paths and you wouldn't want them to be stuck in a forge anyway.
Up until you showed Celestial Music, I was thinking I'd love Quickness and Air Shield for a bless. I like the idea of building avoidance for these sacreds, so maybe glamour for Defense/Blur to go with an Air Shield. One or both of those paths plus Nature for Mother Oak, and if you have the bless points, Poison Weapons for all the 2-4x hitting sacreds. Quickness archers with Air Shield and Poison Weapons sounds fun to try.
Dom5 I played Dharmapala awake. Dom 6 could do the same (although lion and blood/earth titan tempting) to get some death invulnerability + fire resist early game access, early sacred summons fire arrows (use that resist)/spirits and later death. Have to take care on how to get armour/anti affliction quickly but if goes to Magic 3 and gives own access to relevant path boosters. Banefire and 2 pet demons. Heresy to waste prophet status on a monkey though!
@@BabelBuilder I did test awake Dom7 O/0 S/2 H2 G0 L0 M3 with just F3/D5 Dharma titan 10 invuln. It was extremely good in Dominions 6 with the free Conj 6 Yomi national spell every turn for free as the free Conj 6 demons on the pretender fit with S4 sacreds and kill nearly anything, and the Thaum 5 fire even goes with the recruit anywhere repel sacreds. By year 2 had mage/gem economy on all paths bar air (no mage yet).
Why not an awake Destroyer of Worlds? Can get Air Shield, Stygian Flesh and +1 attack With Dom 6 2 T 2 S 3 Heat 2 Luck Shores up sacred defenses, gets a research start, can equip pretender to be a real beast in combat eventually
Misfortune+Turmoil is asking for trouble. You're not allowed to complain about events if you take that. I'd seriously consider the seriously boring +Attack bless I think it's time for you to do a thematic 4-armed SC Titan (dormant or even imprisoned)
I'm just a rebel and I'm lookin' for trouble! I find the L/M scales just so random, the main thing is what events it unlocks to your event pool more than the "2% bad luck".
Unlike the other money nations Kailasa doesnt get national blood or death summons so blood and death blesses feel wasted. Styg skin doesnt stack with wooden warriors so its a wasted bless. I love the Light bandar archer with its 21 hit mace and longbow and high moral/hp so I'd want an air shield bless to protect my front line sacred from friendly fire and 9 hp yogi/gurus from fire that high hp archers will draw. Your recruit everywhere sacred has a spear so investing in +atk would help his repel numbers. Given how easily kileld your sacreds are Rightous Wrath isnt a bad pick up. Your Yakshinis are native water 3 with possible water 5 so bitting the bullet and grabbing water breathing lets you comfortably function as an underwater nation. Your Gurus would love Arcade Finesse for mind burn/paralyze and enslave mind. Your Yakshas can earthquake spam so Weightlessness is not a bad idea. Some poison res for foul vapors could help but poison ward is easy enough for you. Since larger wont increase the weapon size of size 4s and your units dont need str and cant afford to give up def I think there are better ways to spend points
I love how flexible Kailasa is for blesses. Bark skin vs Stygian is always a war that takes place in my mind. Stygian is so good for early game, maybe it is worth it just for that. On the other hand, it is 100% replaceable by bark skin....

Oh good! The text definitely indicated that and if it never happened I'd have been really disappointed. Can they come back as the really big summons?
