Ingredients for Meatballs (makes 22-23 meatballs):
►3 slices white bread crusts removed and diced or torn to pieces
►2/3 cup cold water
►1 lb lean ground beef 7% fat
►1 lb Sweet Ground Italian sausage
►1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese plus more to serve
►4 cloves garlic minced or pressed with a garlic press
►1 tsp sea salt
►1/2 tsp black pepper
►1 large egg
►3/4 cup all-purpose flour to dredge meatballs
►Light olive oil to saute or use vegetable oil
Ingredients for Marinara Sauce:
►1 cup chopped yellow onion 1 medium onion
►4 cloves garlic minced or pressed with a garlic press
►2 - 28-ounce cans crushed tomatoes *see notes
►2 bay leaves
►Salt & pepper to taste
►2 Tbsp basil finely minced, optional
Other Ingredients:
►1 lb spaghetti cooked aldente according to package instructions

Poor man's stew ..... take a bunch of cans of things from the cupboard, throw it all in a pot with tomato sauce and tomato paste and add some meat and cook it slowly all day👍

This is the BEST meatball and spaghetti recipe! I even have my own and have tried others, but yours is my absolute favorite. You make awesome meals that are delish and easy to follow. I am making this dish tonight, again!

No, spaghetti and meatballs is a dish that fundamentally misunderstands the point of pasta. It’s why spaghetti and meatballs is not really a thing in Italy - they understand that pasta is the main event, and you need to enhance the pasta. Rather than shoving a massive lump of meat on top.

I have made this twice and my wife and I loved it. Really easy and so good! My only suggestion for those of us novice cookers, depending on which crushed tomato sauce you get, if you find that it is acidic, add sugar until its lowers the acidity to liking. It took me a good minute to figure out but luckily my mom thought me that a long time ago!
