Perfect recipe! I’m Italian 😜 the only difference from my receipt is that I put the bread in milk instead water and if I cook them in a pan with oil I roll them in grated bread , if I cook them with tomato I dump them with tomato sauce in the instant pot and they turn amazing 😉😘 your recipes are always great! Thank you for sharing 😘
I'm 65 years old Born and raised in NYC. Italian neighborhood. Been making good meatballs since I was 8. These are the best flavored meatballs I have ever tasted. Thanks for this
After eyeballing this recipe for a year now, I finally made it tonight! I had my son help me since him and his brother love spaghetti and meatballs. Well we LOVED this recipe! I also followed your marinara sauce recipe and added some sugar, rosemary and oregano to it. Oh and I used heavy whipping cream instead of water because I needed to use up what I had left from chicken alfredo the other night. It was so good!! The best sauce and meatballs I’ve ever made. The meatballs were so moist and flavorful. We’ll definitely be making this again!
I made these today and they are excellent. I increased my parmesan cheese to 1/3 cup and added an egg. The bread is the key to juicy and tender meatballs. Thank you Natasha.
I made these last night, and it was absolutely delicious! The only things I did differently were soaking the bread crumbs in whole milk (I learned that from Marco Pierre White), adding 1 TBSP of minced white onion and substituting black pepper with chili flakes(I learned that from Gordon Ramsay), and before cooking I had my meatballs in the fridge, for 30 minutes, just to give it time for all the flavors to infuse and to condense the balls a bit. But the base/root of it all was you, Chef Natasha! Thank you so much!
I read the science behind adding the breadcrumbs and liquid-it is called a "panade." The starch bonds to the proteins in the meat and makes it so the meat does not release its juiciness while it is being cooked. Definitely makes the meat easier to work with too!
I made these today and they taste amazing! I was skeptical about the wet breadcrumbs but I decided to trust you & I was not disappointed, thank you for the recipe. ♥
My husbands grandmother is Greek , and she told me that when she chops the brown onion , she pushes the bread into the onion juice and adds that into the meatball mixture. I tried it and it was a game changer
These were pleasant. I like the base recipe but think I will like it more with a few modifications. The recipe as written was plenty juicy and the texture was soft as well. I would like to try these with 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes and some finely diced onion in the meat mix. Thank you for sharing.
These turned out amazing! Soft with that nice outer crisp and flavorful. Thank you for the recipe. I mixed the bread with milk instead of water and used dried parsley because I didn’t have fresh. Served it with homemade marinara and linguine. So tasty!
Just love you Natasha you have thought me how to cook and prefer your recipes. It’s perfectly well narrated and I’m addicted now cooking and baking as well. Now it’s my time to explore new hobby I’m retired now I have a lot of time to keep my self busy. For those retiree like me keep moving never sit down all day.I have a daily exercise morning and late afternoon walk on treadmill. It feels good . Thanks Natasha. I followed your recipe and made the best tasting tender moist meatballs! I did tweak it a little bit by adding garlic, onions and bell peppers. Hubby said they are better than Olive Garden!
Going to give these a try tonight! I don’t have fresh parsley, wondering if dried parsley would be a good substitute or if I should just leave it out. I’ll be back with an update!🤗 Update: they turned out just fine with the dried parsley! I also realized I was out of fresh parm(totatlly thought I had some) but used the parm out of the green bottle. They still came out really good!! I tried both the stove top and the oven. I honestly prefer the oven baked method, it’s just less messy for me. I cannot wait to try making these with all fresh ingredients next time, I’m sure they will be EVEN BETTER! Thanks Natasha for this recipe, I liked, subscribed and will be back for more from you ❤️
Great video! They look delicious! Very similar to my family's recipe. My grandparents came to the US from Italy in the 1920s. The only difference is that we usually add chopped peppers (sweet or hot) and add them. I also tend to use Italian pre-seasoned breadcrumbs for extra flavor. Now I'm getting hungry! LOL! I think I'll take some sauce from the freezer that I made a few weeks ago. I added beef, pork, and chicken and cooked it in the slow cooker for 22 hours. Strained it to get what was left of the meat out. The sauce is a nice dark red color, thick and loaded with flavor! I usually saute the meatballs then freeze them, adding them to the sauce about 30 min before serving time to heat them up and absorb a little of the sauce. Keep on cookin! 😁 FYI.... if you know someone who can no longer handle lactose (like me), I started making ricotta using Lactaid milk. Tastes no different than the regular kind. If I couldn't do that, I wouldn't be able to eat many of my favorite pastas. Now I make my own ravioli, lasagna, and manicotti from scratch with no stomach problems! I learned to make pasta as soon as I was old enough to see over the table. LOL!
I am Italian. As was previously mentioned, I use milk instead of water, plus I use onion too. Your recipes are always great! In fact, just made your apple pie. It was so delicious!
Just made these for dinner and they were a huge hit! I used milk instead of water and added a bit more pepper than you called for in the recipe (since my family loves black pepper to an insane degree). They browned up perfectly and tasted absolutely amazing! (P.S. С Новым годом!)
Finally i decided to try this recipe i am filipino but i love italian recipe beef balls. I did small balls and burger size so i will bake now. Interesting.. I add water and milk and white bread plus parmesan cheese and soft cheese cheddar. I add lots of parsley to make colorful tho..
I prepared these and got 30 small meatballs. I used 5 for myself that night and flash froze the rest. This is the best recipe I have ever had & I grew up in an Italian neighborhood, so I know the best!!! Thank you Natasha!!!
That was delicious. I'm half Italian, but I grew up with the Irish side of my family and depression-era cooking. My son is always begging me for meatballs, so I made those for him today. I've never made meatballs before, and I was really pleased with how these turned out.
I made meatballs using these tips and oh my goodness. Delicious and moist you were right. Some differences though. Cooked my garlic stovetop first before adding it in , added 1/3 or 1/4 cup plain store bought breadcrumbs in with the fresh cut bread, 2tbsp olive oil (1tbsp per pound of meat), used two hot dog buns for the bread and used two eggs. I followed everything else to a T! Added some sauce and shredded a fresh wedge of parmesan cheese onto it after it was so good. I'm going to try your recipe with the exact amount that you did next time to see if there is a difference. Thank you so much for this recipe it was my first time making meatballs! She's right you are the bestest chef ever! 😂❤️❤️❤️ I found the hot dog bread trick from someone online that got it from their Italian grandmother. It's good to know you can change up some ingredients if you're worried you don't have the right ones! Also I accidentally used 2/4 cup grated parmesan romano cheese instead of 1/4 but still came out delicious ❤️
I just made these for dinner tonight & my husband & I loved them. I have a shitty pan (been meaning to buy one) so I just used the air fryer & they came out perfect. Oh & I didn't have fresh parsley, so I used finely chopped basil from my garden & the flavor was amazing. Thank you!
Your recipes are probably some of my favorite. I was uncertain about this, but you know what's good. I didn't have ground pork, but I did have everything else. These were so absolutely delicious. I'm Sicilian and I used to hate meatballs and meatloaf growing up, but it was always so gross when I'd eat it. These are so good that I am now considering making meatloaf. My husband likes this type of stuff so I wanted to try it out. Thank you for your channel!
Thought I'd comment after making these a couple of times...Thank you they are absolutely gorgeous. A real hit with the family and so versatile. I've been popping a small square of blue cheese in the middle and that has sealed the deal. I'm now being asked to make them weekly.
I like the way you don't drag us through the cutting up process and just give us the quick version going quickly from one thing to the next. I am Italian and raised by my mother's great Italian cooking. I love to cook! As I am a guy I am not for a lot of "fluff". Just give me the facts quickly, accurately, and efficiently. I'll get it.
@Boxy Boxboxbox Who wants to know? You talk'n to me? You want soma this? I got your meatballs right here. Get on these meatballs. Okay, is that Italian enough fir ya.
@Boxy Boxboxbox I am actually a wine type of guy. However, my dad was a major alcoholic and it finally killed him when I was just a young child which resulted in my sibling and I being basically raised singlehandedly by my mother with aunts and uncles on her side of the family helping out. She focused on raising us kids, making sure we had what we needed, and didn't concern herself with dating. She worked in a factory, fed us, raised us, put a roof over our heads, and made sure we stayed out of trouble and got a decent education in life. I owe the good life I have today, to her not caving under the strain of raising two children by herself and to not resenting the cards she was dealt and taking it out on us kids. There was always a gift under the Christmas tree every year for us and meals cooked with love. I would honor her for both Mother's day and Father's day, because she was doing the job and and had the responsibility of both. I couldn't do enough for her. Okay, that's it. Back to 2020.
I just cooked these meatballs and by far some of the best I've ever cooked and the easiest definitely saute them. I did five in the oven and another 20 on the stove and the ones on the stove for 10 times better but the ones in the oven were still extremely good . The whole process took 30 minutes
I just made these for.my family... Love them..put.them in skillet and the in water ,who kmew, you did never will I bake them again. Use olive.oil.in skillet crusty moist in center just like you said. I subscribed
Amazing! I made with a let over pork/red wine au jus from last night's pork loin and used heavy cream to thicken (with a little chicken stock) DELICIOUS!
Oh my, these really filled a void in my life. My favourite meatballs ever were ones that we made at the pizza place I worked at 25 years ago and these are so close to that taste that I feel so satisfied. Thank you for sharing!
Best meatballs ever, I made a few batches to freeze and made some with your marinara sauce to enjoy tonight. Your channel has been so inspiring I did not know cooking could be this much fun.
Thank you so much for this. I have watched almost all of your videos and I absolutely love your enthusiasm. I love to cook and learn new ideas. I hope your family appreciates you and all you do. Have a beautiful and blessed day :)
I didn't think her personality would be someone i would watch and jive with. This chef is charming and has great recipes for the home cook or pro cook. I have tried 3 in 2 weeks. This chef is spot on. Cheers 2 u and what u do.
I made these…..wow! Best I ever had. I browned them on the skillet about6-8 minutes then finished cooking them in another skillet of Newmans Own Marinara sauce on low simmer about 10 minutes ( lid on to capture the juices). Thank you!
I’m making these tomorrow. Got all the ingredients ready and can’t wait! I’ll add an edit tomorrow evening to let you know how they turned out. 🙏🏾😋 Edit - My entire family loved these meatballs. We had tagliatelle instead of spaghetti. The only change I made was to add half a teaspoon of celery salt and half a teaspoon of ground cumin. Thank you, they were delicious. 😋
I am not a meatball person however these looks delicious. I want to try this for my guests, the only thing is I don't eat pork =( What other meat can I replace the pork with the other half? Thank you, love how you make everything so effortlessly =)
I use venison or can also mix beef & deer sausage. I did see some wonderful chicken sausage @ Sam's. Or beef & ground turkey, lots of opinions out there. No pork for us too
Just tried this recipe, the only issue I have is that it took way longer to cook these in a pan than 3 minutes a side. Also, not sure if all the oil was needed, considering how much grease the meatballs produce. But, I have them simmering in tomato sauce right now waiting for the pasta to cook up! Can't wait to try it! Thanks for the recipe :)
Awesome tip on leftovers! I live alone and hate making more than I need to . So, sharing that information on storing helps! Now I can make 3 meals out of just 1.
@Boxy Boxboxbox 🤣😂 Now I may be! Lol!! Crazy days we're living in. Huh? I believe it's time to repent of our sins, accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, and study His Word to show ourselves approved. I don't go to church, but I see the signs. It's time. Take care. ❤
My toddler is a fussy eater. Been thinking how else cN she get her protein. Bumped onto this recipe n voala, boy oh boy, my girl loved it, she finished em on her own! Thank u so much for this. Lots of love from Singapore!
Nice editing! My mom would brown them in a cast iron skillet and finish the cooking in the tomato sauce for spaghetti and meatballs. The freezing tip is great, keeps them from sticking together. I don't know if mom put ground pork in the mix. I've been using Italian sausage stuffing as a substitute. I like the fennel flavor that it imparts to the sauce. I ordered a scoop for meatballs to keep the size more uniform.
I just had to come back here to leave a review. I've been watching this recipe for over a year now but was so skeptical of the breadcrumbs that i never tried it. Afterall every other recipe i watched or read said panko breadcrumbs. So today i finally tried this recipe and even before starting still came back to the comments to see who tried it and what they thought because ground beef and pork is extremly expensive where i live. Let me tell you, this recipe is FIRE!! I am so happy i finally tried it and fried it instead of normally baking. It is so tender so juicy that when you cut it the juices run. Never ever will i need another meatball recipe, this one here will get you right. Natasha you really are "the best cooker"😂😂
I just renovated the kitchen in my new home and I just realized it looks EXACTLY like Natasha's, I didn't even intend for it to look that way. I've watched her for waaaaay too long 😂

Made these yesterday for my kids and They LOVED THEM! Forsure a recipe I’ll be making more often for my babies!
Yay that’s great to hear! ❤️❤️
Love this channel already. Came across yesterday. I like how it's edited too. And yes, it also helps Natasha is adorable 😊
I’m glad you found my channel 😊 I hope you’ll love every recipe that you will try!
I didn't think her personality would be someone i would watch and jive with. This chef is charming and has great recipes for the home cook or pro cook. I have tried 3 in 2 weeks. This chef is spot on. Cheers 2 u and what u do.
Thank you for your compliments and for watching
I made these…..wow! Best I ever had. I browned them on the skillet about6-8 minutes then finished cooking them in another skillet of Newmans Own Marinara sauce on low simmer about 10 minutes ( lid on to capture the juices). Thank you!
So glad you love it!
excellent teaching! This video is a great step by step guide on how to make a meatball. Never knew how to make a meatball before this.
Thanks for watching!
I’m making these tomorrow. Got all the ingredients ready and can’t wait! I’ll add an edit tomorrow evening to let you know how they turned out. 🙏🏾😋
Edit - My entire family loved these meatballs. We had tagliatelle instead of spaghetti. The only change I made was to add half a teaspoon of celery salt and half a teaspoon of ground cumin. Thank you, they were delicious. 😋
Thank you for the recipe Natasha, these look so yummy, can't wait to try these :-)
Can't wait for you to try this. I hope you love it! ❤

Seems to be perfect for me. The right balance of sophistication and simplicity! Will try them for sure!
Enjoy! 😀
I am not a meatball person however these looks delicious. I want to try this for my guests, the only thing is I don't eat pork =(
What other meat can I replace the pork with the other half?
Thank you, love how you make everything so effortlessly =)
Nat Alia neither do I. Use all beef. They’re still perfect! 😋
Same here girl my husband doesn’t eat pork going to make these all beef
I use chicken sausage, it still comes out great and a ton less fat
I use venison or can also mix beef & deer sausage. I did see some wonderful chicken sausage @ Sam's. Or beef & ground turkey, lots of opinions out there.
No pork for us too
Just tried this recipe, the only issue I have is that it took way longer to cook these in a pan than 3 minutes a side. Also, not sure if all the oil was needed, considering how much grease the meatballs produce. But, I have them simmering in tomato sauce right now waiting for the pasta to cook up! Can't wait to try it! Thanks for the recipe :)
I love how you edit your video they’re so cool and love your recipes.
Thank you! It’s my husband who does the amazing editing 😊
I'm a Filipino.. domestic helper here in HK..i made this for dinner and my employers say its really good and have to keep the recipe for next time ❤

You’re welcome! Thanks for sharing that with us 😊
Awesome tip on leftovers! I live alone and hate making more than I need to . So, sharing that information on storing helps! Now I can make 3 meals out of just 1.
I’m so glad that helped!
@@Natashaskitchen thanks for responding. I love your videos. Keep up the good work 👍
This is great recipe! I added 1 tsp of miso into this recipe and it deepened meat flavor
Awww... I used to say that to my mom when I was a little girl! "Mom, you're the best cooker ever!" 😄
Best compliment ever ❤
@@Natashaskitchen Absolutely!!

Christmas 2021
I cooked this for my boyfriend and Housemates 🤲🏻👐🏼👐🏼 It’s a great recipe
Thank you!!!
Made these and absolutely loved it !! 🥰 my kids devoured 🙌
That is awesome!
Hahaha you are hilarious! 🤣🤣 Love the Parsley throwing
Glad you loved that part 🤣
Yay that’s awesome! Thanks so much for this excellent review 👌
I just renovated the kitchen in my new home and I just realized it looks EXACTLY like Natasha's, I didn't even intend for it to look that way. I've watched her for waaaaay too long 😂
