BTS make a finger gun symbol because their name means Bulletproof Boyscouts, when it's flipped upside down it makes a 7. The gesture is their signature, they often use it when introducing themselves on Korean entertainment programs. At the end of "Boy with Luv" JK turns the finger guns into an "I love you" sign.
To add to the data, in this show they focused on V's hand because JK has tattoos on that hand, and there are restrictions on television stations not being able to show tattoos, it is something cultural as tattoos are not well regarded, I still think it is something more corresponding to the Korea's most conservative adult generation.
@judithotto7131 It is because tattoos used to be heavily associated with gang activity in Korea. An outdated perspective for sure, and I feel like things have definitely gotten more lenient even though it's still not legal to show them on TV.
Unlike western awards shows, this and other Asian awards shows are more geared to the fans and several artists will perform more than one song. BTS got more and more awards show performance time over the years because they have many fans and are great performers that entertain the crowds of many different fans.
@@TripTipsPodcast 13:28 That particular song "Boy in Luv" and also another song called" War of Hormones" basically just explains how young immature teenage boys mistook love from lust. Since they are experiencing puberty for the first time they think they care & love the girl which is why they are so obsessive & possessive but in reality all they like about her is all her beautiful superficial features. Simply put since they are boys they like her because she's a woman. And BTS is just pointing out That that's not love at all, that's just your hormones acting out. But ironically due to this song, BTS anti's accused BTS as "misogynistic" because they don't try to understand it
this scale of an award show performance - yeah that's why Army say that BTS doesn't need the grammys. MMA2019 was seriously so good it gave us goosebumps.
they listen to everyone.. RM loves Nas, jhope loves J. Cole.. Jin loves Coldplay. Jimin loves Usher. V loves jazz, so he likes different jazz singers. JK loves pop, Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth etc. SUGA looks up to his favorite musician who he collaborated with, Ryuichi Sakamoto.. RM is the member who shares songs he's listening to in his Instagram almost everyday. so yeah, they all have different music taste. even their genres as solo are different from each other that if you're not familiar with them, you wouldn't think they're from the same group.
She (sorry I don’t remember her name) is very knowledgeable about the ticket buying process as a Taylor Swift fan. BTS has a similar process. You can't expect to just 'buy' a ticket. When they comeback it's going to be a true task to get a ticket!!! It was hard getting tickets to Suga's recent concerts around the world. For all the ARMYs that are able to get tickets to any of their OT7 comeback performances, i know it will be something you will never forget!!! 💜
@@TripTipsPodcast I’m ARMY and a Swiftie. The nickname for us is Bangswift! Apparently if you bring an ARMY bomb (the light stick) to Taylor’s concerts, she acknowledges it. Two great fandoms!
Some parts are prerecorded as Mikrokosmos song for visual effects editing so on live the audience see not edited version and audience at home see effects added version symultaniouslly the same with the horse part of Dynoiusus, this was prerecorded... On the live show with this much of audience and noise they would not risk to stress and work with live animals.
Thank you Brittney, for setting the guys straight about talking about the devil symbol. Also, you were perceptive enough to notice, and ask where the audience was. The Microkosmos portion of this was prerecorded, that's how they got those visuals. This gave the guys the time they needed to get ready for the finale. There were some other parts that were prerecorded as well, like the horses, so as not to scare them. For me, this is one of the most Epic performances ever! I'm glad you watched it, and shared with us 💜
Yes they get a little conspiracy theory sometimes lol. I will be joking on some of the rise of bahngtan with them every Monday. Or some of the mondays.
Persona is RM rapping about his own struggle to know how to balance all the different side's of himself. It's a Psychological concept. The album it comes of is part of the Map of the Soul triology which is all Jungian Psychological exploring the Psychological concepts of 'Persona', 'Shadow' and 'Ego'. They performed and received all 4 Major Awards called a 'Daesang'. They are the kpop group with the most Daesangs in the history of Kpop.
@@TripTipsPodcast The author of the book also acknowledged Bts. "I was quite impressed with Kim Nam-joon, RM as he’s called - I guess he’s the leader of the BTS group - when he spoke at the United Nations. What impressed me about that was that he kept the distinction, carefully, between who he was a boy growing up in a small village outside of Seoul, Korea and who he is publicly and famously now. You know, a star in the firmament of the entertainment world. If he were to identify with that role totally, he would lose contact with himself, with the boy he was, with the human being that he is. He would be ungrounded. I must say I’m thrilled that they are taking an interest in Jung and my book, that Jung’s message and Jung’s vision is being transmitted to people who otherwise would never hear about him or pay attention to what he has to offer. Because I think what Jung has to offer in this century is a vision of wholeness and a vision of integrity and human rights that, you know, it would be so valuable for people all over the world to come into contact with and to study and to integrate into their daily life. Jung’s message is a very hopeful one: that our conscious is a spark of light. It has much to offer us if we pay attention to it. It gives us inner guidance and, really, it has emphasis on the sacredness of the individual and the importance of the individual to take responsibility for the planet and for the world." -Murray Stein "Jung's Map of the Soul: An Introduction, published by Open Court in 1998, is currently a #1 Best Seller due to its recognition by the band BTS" - Episode 42 on speakingofjung

@@TripTipsPodcastalso their song Dionysius is about them drink on art , it’s hard to translate cuz they are doing the wordplay with alcohol and art in Korean during the song. And if you know Dionysius is the god of wine and the irrational art and theatrics and he also born two times and his transport was the panthers that you see there and the constellation they form with each member is a ones that he give to the girl he like it , and the stick is the thyrsus ( they also name in the song) is his stick, and the village that praised that God was known for the horses , that’s why you see them , anyway there is a lot of references in the song and the performances itself that’s so well though , also Dionysius as I said represent the irrational in the map of the soul book which is why is the last song before moving from persona to shadow in the album. Bot with luv is them accepting their persona so it towards their fans and it refers the change and instrospection of boy in luv made when they were rookies about the manly stereotypical way in SK that tend to attract girls in high school lol. So they also accepting their past. All of this journey at the end is to accept every part of themselves to actually love themselves so they are showing us how they do it.
This performance in MMA was one of the most iconic. I’m also shookt with what I just watched. Their MAMA is also legendary. Even other idol groups were left speechless. Enjoy the BTS ride! 💜
RM shared Taylor’s music on his IG story when her new album came out, he was listening to one of her new songs. Whenever Jungkook does a Livestream he always shares with us songs he’s listening the most at that time and basically he just plays his spotify playlists and there are manyyy different songs/artists but personally i adore their music taste. they find lot of new music creators who make good music but aren’t really recognized and they share them with us. all of the members do. it’s just precious.
Now THAT is what BTS calls an award show performance. And than there's the Grammys who gave them like 3 minutes to perform the shortened(!) version of one song... But actually I understand. If they let BTS pull a performance like this one on an American award show who's going to be brave enough to perform after them? Nothing would look good... 😂😂
Absolutely! 😂 And their in-person Grammy performance was the best of the night even with Jin being injured & JK and Hobi only getting to rehearse a little bit with the grp the day BEFORE the show
They have a live band at the back of the stage on most of these award shows... the rhythm section is always crazy good... the bass player is epic.... In case nobody has mentioned the hand signal... there's a few explanations of it... their name translates to Bullet proof boyscouts so some say it's a gun.. others say it's a 7... Also fun fact... in the video when they were sleeping, Tae (V) actually fell asleep really... they just left him for a minute until he woke up
the hand sign depends on how they hold their hands, I think.. when fingers are pointed upwards, it's a 'bang' (gun), when pointed down it's shaped like a 7, denoting 7 members in the group. Sometimes, they do both in one go, so bang (up), then down 7 = Bangtan Seonyondan or BTS for short. V, in particular has (in the past) been very vocal about the group being 7 members 'so show your love for all of us.'
Correct on the music band, they're always in the back; attention is not drawn to the musicians because K-Pop's format is about the artists' performance and what they can do (sing & dance) on stage whether as a team or individual. That said there are a few K-Pop bands that do play instruments but it's minority.
I haven't seen anyone being this good performer in kpop ever like the energy, the songs, the stage, the stage presence etc just hooked you into every single minute. Just to mention that 2019 is the peak year for BTS like they set & broke thousands of records. MMA & MAMA are considered as the biggest award shows in south korea kinda grammys of k pop industry and there are 4 grand prizes (daesangs in korean) given as song of the year, artist of the year, album of the year and Record of the year. BTS being the first (& till now only) k act to sweep all the grand prizes in the award show history & not only this they won each and every award they were being nominated for 😭😭 In 2022, MMA gave BTS the title of "Worldwide All Time Legends" and a special daesang "Platinum daesang" also known as "father of daesangs" to BTS for sweeping all 4 grand prizes for last 3 years 😭😭 They are literally the pride of their country 💜💜
Yes they have many influences that's why their music is so different for instance V's into Jazz and is often seen in Jazz clubs and he's has a very soulful and R&B sound if you listen to his solo's. Each member brings something different to the table and because they are so involved with their music even when they don't write something and it''s suggest to them if they don't like it they won't use it. They also have their in house team. It's why it's hard to put them into one single genre/category. If you didn't know who they were and someone simply picked out different tracks from different albums one would be excused for thinking that one was listening to different artists and not the same group.
Their gun symbol was how the ysed to introduce themselves in reference to their name “Bangtan Sonyeondan” (Bulletproof Boyscouts) and then they would turn it upside down to reference the number 7 since they are seven members. In older videos you can see them introducing themselves with RM saying, “1,2,3!” Then all members would do the gun symbol say, “Bang!” (making a shooting motion), then bow and continue, “tan Sonyeondan! We’re Bangtan Sonyeondan!” That’s all that gun symbol means. 💜🫰🏻🫶🏻💜 7 💜
Remember, BTS are not just singing, but also doing exhausting dances over the course of their 21/2-3 hr shows. They leave everything on the stage. There is no way the could do 2 back to back live shows in a night. Their shows sellout totally in a couple of hours (or less) so if you we to perform in small venues fewer fans would ever be able to see the them and as you see with this show, their stage performances are quite spectacular!
The symbol they were making with hand stands for the number 7.. it represents them as 7 members of BTS.. it has other meanings as well among the fandom bt that is the main meaning..
Another meaning is the obvious one, which is the common gesture of a pistol or handgun, because BTS is a military concept from the very start, as invented by Hitman Bang. It is even inherent in their band name. A scout is military reconnaissance. You will also see them point it down, to make it look more like a "7", as well as make that gun recoil move along with the gunshot sound in their earlier days. When they all return from actual military service, BTS might possibly be the only music band in global history that is both fictional & non-fictional military. And will then be part of 2 armies.
In case you don't know, BTS does a theme with their albums which usually stretches over a few albums. For instance there was the love yourself series. Then they moved into Carl Jung's theories of Ego, Persona and Shadow. The first song in this performance was Persona or the outward appearance we show to the world. JHope did Ego and Yoongi did Shadow. This was over a 2 album series - Map of the Soul Persona and Map of the Soul Seven. In this performance, he next song Boy in Love is about young love and Boy With Love is about more mature love - and a song for Army - wondering how their day goes, etc.
To give the members time to rest and change and give the stage crew time to make changes, some songs like Microcosmos, and the cut scenes were pre-recorded and then shown on the huge screens during the performance. The stars and planets were digitally added but, I believe, there are drones above them to form the circles. This is not saying they did not perform songs live in front of an audience, it just was not all in one go.
The girl in the center was so right about "they are so versatile" because If you have heard their solo album you will get an idea about how they all taste are completely different from each other and how beautifully they blend their style in a group and that is how we see them as the most perfect group out there 😭😭 Jack in the box by Jhope The astronaut by Jin Indigo by RM Face by Jimin D-Day by Suga Seven by Jungkook Layover by V (only 2 songs released yet from the album, the whole album will be released on 8th sep) These are their solo albums/singles based on their tastes and all 7 of them are completely different from each other 🔥🔥 "Versatility" is BTS's 2nd name 🤭
Some fans may not know this: July 5, 2017 BTS rebranded their group name from "Bangtan Sonyeondan" to "Beyond The Scene" a switch that doubles as a different version to the acronym "BTS". While the Korean name remains the same, which loosely translates to "BulletProof Boyscouts", the English name change takes on an entirely different meaning. The rebranding was debuted in the video that also revealed their new logo. There are many symbolism and multi layered meanings that took place in the performance of Dionysus. In the performance, all 7 members portrayed the Seven Greek Gods turning the MMA 2019 into Mount Olympus. V was Apollo The God of Sun. Jin on his Trojan Horse was Ares the God of War. Suga was Hephaestus the God of Fire. J-Hope was Zeus God of Thunder. Jimin was Artemis God of The Moon. JungKook was Poseidon The God of Sea. RM was Dionysus The God of Wine and Festivity.
It is crazy. No one does it like BTS. If you're ever interested in looking up the lyrics, translation, meaning, wordplay, metaphors of BTS Songs, I'd highly suggest the doolset lyrics. @@TripTipsPodcast
The contemporary dancer is Jimin. The dance king for 5 years in a row already. He is the most versatile dancer of the industry. And he started from hip-hop, so he matches perfectly in all styles. You can’t find anyone expressive as Jimin. He has perfect technique, emotions, flexibility, gracefulness and power in his moves
Watching the full awards ceremony, BTS went on to win many awards after they finished this performance. They worked so hard during this show that each time they won and had to walk back up onstage, I actually started to feel a bit sorry for them. Just goes to show they give their all to each and every performance for their A.R.M.Y 🎉
It’s a gun hand gesture since their name translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts. When introducing themselves they’ll usually flip it upside down which turns it into a 7. They’ve done it since debut.

Guys, this is the MMA 2019 , not the MAMA, but it's OK, it's the one everybody recommend to you. MMA and MAMA are 2 différent Award Show, and you really need to see them all since 2014 because BTS's performances are legendary , et became bigger and bigger as time by. This MMA 2019 is iconic, probably the most spectacular (now, we know why, as it was supposed to be the last before their MOTS world tour, hiatus for solo projects and military service, but the pandemic has changed all the timeline) . What a beautiful construction with this crescendo till the end. The Dyonisos intro is mindblowing ! And Jimin's solo is a legend ! There is a lot of symbolism in this Dyonisos Intro : 1/ First, each member represents a greek god and each one danced to one of their songs: V - Apollo god of sun ( No more dream) JIN - Ares god of war (Danger) (some said it's Athena , goddes of War) SUGA - Hephaestus god of fire ( Fire) JIMIN - Artemis goddes of moon ( I need U) NB : Artemis is the twin of Apollo so it's perfect for the 95 liners aka V and Jimin JHOPE - Zeus god of thunder (Fake Love) JK - Poseidon god of water (Save Me) RM - Dionysus god of wine and art ( Dionysus) 2/ The song is about their thirst for art, with which they can't live without in a way. Also, the seven light bulbs : they represents the Ariadne constellation. The exact positioning of the stars were replicated. Ariadne is Dionysus' wife and for the wedding he gifted her with a crown with 7 jewels. When she died, the crown casted into the sky to be a constellation. The 7 light also représents the 7 members of course. Also the 7 years of BTS (at that time) . And probably the album album Map of the soul 7 : it dropped 2 months later and we know BTS always put some hints of their future albums and songs in their shows ! I have noticed the words "EGO" and "SHADOW" write on the blackboard during RM "Personna", eastern eggs for the 2 songs, main theme of the future album witch are not released at that time; JK's dance in black on water may be a hint for black swan too ; The dance break during Dyonisos was on a remix of N.O ... and announced maybe the release of ON : we know the songs are back to back, they even used the same stairs during MMA 2020 ON than in the N.O MV in 2013. Just my opinion, I may be wrong. 3/ Even the Dionysus dance break is meaningful. The first dancers are J-Hope and Jungkook, Zeus and Poseidon, you can see their battle for control. Then V and Jimin, Apollo and Artemis, mirror each other's movements because they are twin dieties. Lastly, Jin, Suga, and Namjoon (Ares, Hephaestus, Dionysus) are the outcasts of Olympus, hence their fall from the table. There is no coincidences in BTS performances, all is significant. Mindblowing, and significant. You said you will share some explanation viedo on your patreon, good idea, there is one from XCeleste, one by the Bookish theory, maybe you will watch another one ?
wow!! Love, love all the info. Baby Army here of a little over a year (59 in age though, lol) so getting this info is GREAT!!!! Always Easter eggs,, new info. Everyday I learn something new about them. Thanks!!
Some BTS members went to Harry Styles' concert, some went to Bruno Mars'. Jungkook went to a concert of another Korean singer, IU. And all 6 other members went to Agust D concert. (:
Absolutely! And not just in SK .. 2017 AMAs come to mind & any of their Billboard appearances, where Armys cheers were deafening & shocked everyone, especially other big name celebrities 🤭 And can't forget the 2022 Grammys where they got a standing ovation 😌
Bts go all out for award shows, they always make the award show their concert, on an episode of suchwita (yoongi’s talk show here on TH-cam) the members said their favorite performances tend to be the ones they put on for award shows. Their award show performances are legendary and like no other
Probably already mentioned here, but the 2nd song Boy IN Love was released in 2014 and in the MV Jin pushes the girl onto a locker. This was during the School boy trilogy and Jin kept apologizing to the girl after takes to her. He’s really a gentleman! Brittany again is spot on about the meaning of the song. What’s amazing is they dance hard too while singing live no matter where they are. They love what they do and it shows! Other Idols were in awe of this show as some clips showed them in the audience. It’s nice that you listen to the bass and drums, others focus on lyrics, some on visuals because then you have to watch it again really to catch everything. 😊 Love seeing Brittany on here! 💜🫰🏻💜🫰🏻💜 They performed at MAMA and other years too though not as long, they were still amazing! Saw them in Vegas at the Allegiant and it was packed! Many ARMY show up hours before the show just to line up for merch and I made homemade freebie gifts for ARMY as many do trade and, being older everyone was so kind to me I’ve never been to a live concert like theirs. I’m guessing that I may be closer to the father’s age (omgosh, so sorry I forgot name … Dave?) Here, we just show up for the show in Western culture and lots of pushing. Lol
I’m a Karmy and the reason why they put some English in the song is Kpop is soooooo popular worldwide so Kpop artists want international fans to sing along cause Korean is too difficult for international fans. Also, the women said sometimes there are no words to express so they use English but it’s not the reason in Korean. Actually, Korean have soooooo much more vocabularies than English. So, sometimes, it’s hard to translate Kpop lyrics to English cause there are no words in English. Especially, Bts’s lyrics are soooooooo much deeper than the translation captions.
@@TripTipsPodcast while technically a collection, I think it's more a clarification for you because they are so easy to confuse and are both MAJOR award shows. You will be seeing the acronyms frequently, and BTS works hard to make each performance special/unique, so when people make suggestions it really makes a difference.
For the Dionysus performance, everything is related with Dionysus's myth/legend. Each of the boys solo opening represents a God of Olympus. Tae(V) is Apollo, the god of sun, the twin brother of the moon goddess, Artemis that is portrayed by Jimin (fun fact: to make detail, Jimin and Tae share their earings on this performance). Jin might be Ares the god of war that had been known with his horse of war, associating the Trojan Horse with war. Suga is Hephaestus (the god of fire). Jungkook is Poseidon, the god of seas and water in general, of storms and earthquakes. Jhope is Zeus, the god of the sky and thunder, the king of all greek gods. The lasers when he is dancing represent Zeus’s thunders that were coming from his hands when he was mad. RM is Dionysus, the god of wine. The scepter that he takes from the stage is Thyrsus, Dionysus's staff that was covered by ivy vines, the light bulbs that go down one by one on each solo performance, formed the Corona Borealis constellation lines. It represent a crown that belonged to Dionysus's mortal wife that she wore on their wedding day. After his wife died, he put that crown up in the sky and made it as star constellation to commemorate his wife. The girls with the flower buckets represent Dionysus female followers called Maenad, who were always dancing and throw a flower when they are accompanied Dionysus . The giant horn from the beginning of the act represents Dionysus wine cup called a drinking horn. The horses represent theThracian horses that were herd by thracian horseman clan to worship Dionysus. The panther balloon represents one of Dionysus sacred animals (beside panther is a tiger, bull and serpent). The song Dionysus is an entire methaphor. They’re not making wine, they’re making music. They’re sharing and getting drunk on the arts. It’s not about alcohol at all, but being intoxicated with the music and the arts."Just get drunk, like Dionysus/Wine glass in one hand, the Thyrsus in the other/The Arts sloshing lightly in the clear crystal glass/Art is a type of wine too, if you drink it you’ll get intoxicated fool."
2019 Love Yourself Concert they started with Dionysus. I'm thinking it's a 3 hour show and they are starting with the killer cardio number. When It was over I was tired but did they slow down the second song was NOT TODAY. I can't believe the shape these guys are in. Yes, they have some ballads but most of their show was pedal to the metal. 3 hours later I need a drink, where's Dionysus when you need him? It was incredible!
20:40 it really depends on how they envision the stage performance, the band can be hidden or not. They have the band right behind in lots of performances and especially in concerts. In award shows sometimes the stage is planned differently space wise. And they always shoutout to the whole band. Their previous drummer (Khan, from ghost band with docskim and others) has a youtube channel and he used to film the stage from his perspective at the concerts.
The 🔫 hand gesture is their signature since they are bulletproof boyscouts..so it means bangtan ...if u see when they introduce themselves they say "bangtan" as they do the 🔫 hand gesture also for number 7
Really proud of BTS & their resilient. On this big performances they were never invited since they are from the unknown small company & the door open for them when one of the performer cancelled & they were the replacement . Finally they show not only in Korea but to the world their talent. They are always the underdog from the start & it’s like a lesson to everyone to never give up or loose hope. Most of their songs have a deep meaning. I become a fan only in 2021 & the more I dig on their history, the respect & adoration I have for them.💜💜💜Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I watched this when it first aired. I was a relatively new Army and thought my heart was going to explode and die from heartbreak. Watching this Festa with you this time with the benefit of hindsight I can appreciate their message. Knowing how successful they are as solo artists I can wait until they come back in 2025. I hope with each solo launch they 100% know for sure that Army is here to stay and will be there in 2025 to cheer for them.
Asian award shows go big. It's not just a 3-hour televised event. It's often 2-3 full days of awards and performances. The bigger you are, the more stage time you get, which is part of the reason they are multiple day events. BTS go even bigger. They really took "go big or go home" to a WHOLE new level at those award shows! Starting with 2016 or so, I think you can see their growth more (or at least, more quickly) at those shows than even in their videos/music. Also, as for the language switching, I don't know about others and their languages, but you have to listen...REALLY listen...to the Korean *in* the song. Seriously, go back through an older song or two you've heard already, turn the captions OFF - or just look up an audio version of the song. Korean and English have very similar sounds. There is only ONE Korean sound that truly has no English equivalent and, if I remember correctly, only 4 or 5 English sounds that don't have a Korean equal. Due to that? You'll often hear that the English word or line they use actually rhymes with the Korean word/line that comes before it. They're just THAT good at writing songs now that it kind of happened naturally, over time, especially as more and more of the members learned and started taking their English lessons more seriously.
@@TripTipsPodcast You're welcome! 🙂 I never really realized the rhyming at first either...until I started studying Korean. This was pretty much my face: 😲 LOL
About mixing Korean and English- Britney is spot on- especially lyrically, it’s probably whatever language word sounds better in a certain line or whatever word will give it more oomph. However- important to know that English really well-baked into a lot of other cultures now. Korea’s language is as fast-evolving as its technology. They’ve taken certain english words and made them their own. To the point where some words will sound like they’re being used in the wrong context to us, but colloquially, everyone in South Korea will understand exactly what they’re saying. Someone fresh from North Korea, (since North Korea has been contained with no American influence for like 70 years now), would have a LOT of trouble understanding everyday spoken language in South Korea now.
Agreed, especially abt rhyming/flowing easier & also what fits better with what they're trying to express. Not to mention reaching a broader audience & having lines where they can more easily participate in singing along *and didn't want to mention other grps/songs but have definitely heard a lot where I think they just threw random English in for the sake of it coz the lyrics just didn't make a lot of sense 🤷🏻♀️
Yes that's right. And it's also a syllabic choice. If the sentence the lyricist wants doesn't fit the syllables and rhythm of the music in Korean, English is chosen. English is more accessible to Koreans than any other language.
BTS's BTS is a kpop group called Big Bang. They were huge in Korea a decade ago, but they had some serious scandals and now they have basically disbanded.
BTS were given a 40 minute slot to perform some of their songs, they may have been a different arrangement like Jimins classical dance to I need you, JK to save me. If you notice the lights coming down one by one as each of them are in the spotlight, this will have been their idea so they each have a turn to shine. They are the most amazing and professional performers and put everything they have into anything they do. There is no other group that can do what BTS do no matter how many groups hybe and the big 3 churn out. They keep saying were looking for the next BTS, here's the thing there is no next BTS, their journey through Hardships and hate from other groups and their fans, show hosts etc and their journey with Army. None of that can or should be replicated. These 7 amazing men were fated to meet and. They are irreplaceable. Lots of reactioners watch this particular award show and do a lot of guessing whats going on, mainly because they don't know all their songs and the meaning behind them probably because they are got to in the comments by fans of other groups and in order to not disappoint they do. Its a long and deep journey with BTS which many stray away from so half the time they don't know what's going on. I like your channel though, I have to be very honest with you I only watch when it's BTS many army will be the same too. ❤

Also meant to say, if you notice when each of them have performed their piece they turn their head towards the next member signalling its their turn to shine. BTS don't compete with each other on stage there's no lead singer, dancer or rapper because they are all an amazing fully bonded team. I'm very sad they are forced apart by military service but when 2025 comes and they reunite they will be shocked at the size of army because from what I see there around 1 billion now and still growing. Thats just amazing
Each member representing one of the Greek gods of Olympus RM being Dionysus the god of wine, fertility,, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre. He was thought to be mad because he spent too much time in the company of humans. He's the one who came from the 'East'. The 7 lights represent 2 things (A) one light for each member/Greek God and (B) the crown Dionysus flung into the heaven's when he married the woman he loved and it was her crown. It's the constellation 'Corona Borealis' made up of 7 stars.
as a swiftie,i easily fell in love with bts' lyricism cause it is one of the many things i also love about taylor. now i both stan them for so many things aside from their talents 💜they value their relationship with their fans so much and it transcends to everything they do and i think that is an important factor to their success.
The first song was 'Boy in Love' from 2014. It's basically them trying to win over the girl they like. They are nervous and confused over their feelings for a girl. The lyrics here convey how they are a bit immature and impatient about love (which is pretty common among teenagers in love). The next song was 'Boy with love'. It had Halsey in it too and is from 2019. It's kind of an answer to Boy in love because here they have a more mature and healthy approach to love and relationship as they are already adults.
BTS is really the standard in live performances. I have seen so many other award shows, local and international, and nothing compares to the grandeur and scale of BTS live shows. BTS's performances in Grammys, AMAs, and BBMAs are of course top tier, but as ARMYs we know they scaled back a lot.
Thanks for sharing your reaction to this. So much to unpack. So many answers to so many questions LOL. I'll just say that the hand gesture comes from their original choreo and a tie to their name which translates to "Bulletproof Boyscouts" so there is a move they do in ''We Are Bulletproof" like they are cocking a gun and pointing, that is where that comes from - not anything nefarious. LOL. The pre-recorded some of the segments to allow for wardrobe and set changes so Mikrokosmos (the one that looked like space with the still lights) was pre-recorded and broadcasted while they prep'd for the next segment. The overseas shows often pre-record segments and broadcast them while things are in motion "off camera". - BTS is known for coming out once they are ready and doing some of the performance live in front of the live audience while those at home see the pre-recorded taping. That was the case for this performance as they taped in mostly white suits for their solos but came out in black suites for Dionysus which was live after the horses (the horses and intro were pre-recorded). Anyway, several of the members came out and actually performed for their solos - even Jung Kook came out and did his without the water on the live stage for at least part of that segment. The main song at the end was fully live and the leopards that inflate are related to the mythology of Dionysus who was often depicted as riding astride one. There is a "dance practice" video for the solos and Dionysus only if ya'll want to see the glory of the choreo without all the camera cuts and lighting effects. Sorry for the ramble. Later!
@@TripTipsPodcastAlso, the 7 light bulbs that drop down as each member comes out form the constellation Corona Borealis, or northern crown. The constellation was thought to represent a crown Dionysus gave to Ariadne, the daughter of Minos of Crete. Each of the solos represents a different Greek god, with RM as Dionysus himself. When they are sitting at the table very seriously at the start I guess they are looking down from Olympus at all the human shenanigans & not being particularly impressed 😂
One of the rap line’s most important influences is Epik High, an older Korean hip hop group that’s been around a long time. They also have introspective lyrics, and inspired RM and Suga to pursue music. Suga said he was part of their fan club. Now they’re friends and collaborators. Due to their love of music, BTS has spread the word about a lot of artists they admire. Other Korean rappers I’ve gotten into because of them are Drunken Tiger (godfather of Korean rap)/MFBTY and Dynamic Duo. Performance-wise, yeah it was Big Bang for boy groups. Some of my favorite episodes of Suchwita are with Tablo of Epik High and Taeyang of Big Bang because of the significance. In turn, BTS is a big influence to younger idols now so the episodes with Suga’s juniors are really interesting too.
This performance was that kind of performance which should be titled The performance you should watch once before die. The greatness of this performance is on another level. Nobody ever watch this type of a AWARDS SHOW PERFORMANCE!!!
10:18 they were definitely not saying I’ll eat you up 😂. The correct lyrics would be “Hold me tight before I kiss you, Before my heart lets you go”. I’ll eat you is too funny 😂😂
At the 2019 Melon Music Awards, BTS captivated the eyes and hearts of all viewers with their most breathtaking performances. With so much visual detail underlining the stages, ARMYs have come to believe that each BTS member actually represented a Greek god or goddess - collectively turning the Gocheok Sky Dome ceremony location into Mount Olympus.
The hand symbol they do that looks like a gun... This stretches back to their first music video and how they introduce themselves. In Korean their full band name Bangtan Seonyeondeon means "bulletproof boyscouts". So they do the gun hand symbol to go with that theme. BUT its also held downwards a lot to make it look like a 7, which represents the 7 members of the band. So it's sort of their signature gesture.
Depending which way up it they do it. The first way you see it it's a number 7 representing them as group of 7. When it's the second one is an L for Love as Boy in love and Boy with love however it's also the Gun as bullitproof. You'll also notice the international sign for 'I love you' which is the 3 finger one. They also use international sign language in their song 'DNA' when they hold out their arm and tap it 3 times down the forearm which means DNA.
By her (was is Britney?) description, buying tickets for Taylor sounds just like trying to buy tickets for BTS. When I wanted to buy a ticket for Agust D (SUGA), I had to also have a membership. Then I signed up for the presales. But we were too many, so they had a raffle. I won the raffle (and therefore was able to buy), but my friends weren't. So I gave them permission to use two out of my four total possible tickets. I was ready hours ahead of the ticket sale, yet eventhough I pressed it immidiately, I was still so far behind in the queue - I was lucky though, I was let in after 19 minutes and was able to get two out of the last 3 seats on that date. Nosebleeds, but I had the BEST TIME!!!!!!!!
2018/19 BTS world tour army was advising ticket master to improve their net work to take the amount of people that would be online the minute ticket went on sale. They did not listen the second the tickets went on sale the Ticket Master site crash, it kept crashing reasons why it took 4 hours for all the US dates to sold out we are talking about 2019 no US artist was crashing TM then. Permission to Dance LA tour 2022 we taught TM has at least improved their site since they already know about BTS and army how they crash the site, but no same problems. From beginning 2018/19 to buy a BTS concert ticket you must has a army membership number it is not free. BTS has over 25 million army membership that are eligible to buy concert tickets.. What happens to TS fans is not breaking news to army, as we been having this problem for years.. From 2018 none of BTS tickets has every goes to GP always sell out in army membership which goes on sale first.
Buying a ticket in Kr. 1st is raffle then membership then general. Everything in Korea is linked to YOUR id card so you can only buy 1 per person and have to verify your identity at the show.
They do priortise ARMY members when it you go online to book your tickets they are not cheap. I've seen the Wembley Stadium day 2 where we sang 'forever Young' to BTS. It's a huge lottery to be able to get tickets. BTS are one of only 12 acts that have managed to sell out Wembley Stadium and only 1 of 7 Acts to Sell out Wembley Stadium more than once.
Thanks for the reaction guys, love it and Britany appears to understand the struggles of popstars so well. My recommendation of BTS live shows:- 2016 MAMA Hong Kong - "Fire" performance (insane for it's time) 2017 MAMA Hong Kong - BTS' favourite as it was tongue-in-cheek message to their detractors (no gimmicks, just raw energy and messaging), 2018 MAMA Hong Kong - BTS were physically and mentally spent. This one must be watched with the Award Acceptance Speeches to understand how fragile they were at this point (just a couple of half days off for that year) to give an appreciation of how hard they worked Not a live performance because Covid robbed us of it but "ON" Kinetic Manifesto is good fun!
Symbolism of visual objects in Dionysus performance:- (1) Dionysus: 1 of the 12 Greek Olympian gods. He’s THE god for wine, vegetation, liberation, religious ecstasy, festivity AND theater (arts/music/dance). The last is key to BTS’ theme of their lyrics celebrating the creation + freedom of their music. Also known as god Bacchus in Roman mythology. (2) 7-star constellation: represents Ariadne (wife of Dionysus) who was mortal so when she died, Zeus threw her 7-diamond crown (bestowed by Dionysus) into the skies to form the necklace-like constellation we now call Corona Borealis. Here each star is in turn used by each BTS member to represent a different Olympian deity. So V=Apollo (god of Sun, Jin=Ares (god of War) or Athena (goddess of Justice), Jimin= Artemis (goddess of Moon), Suga=Hephaestus (god of Fire, JK=Poseidon (god of Seas), J-Hope=Zeus (god of thunder), RM=Dionysus. (3) Panther/Leopard : are animals synonymous w Dionysus who supposedly favors riding on their backs or in chariots pulled by a pair of these big cats. (4) Thyrsus: a scepter that’s “a fennel-stem sceptre, sometimes wound with ivy and dripping with honey” which Dionysus uses both as beneficent wand and also weapon to destroy any who oppose the freedoms he represents. (source: wiki) (5) The final Dionysus stage performance is set up to represent an ancient Greek wedding ceremony w all its grandeur & pomposity set on Mount Olympus. Dionysus as god of festivity (aka party!) would naturally be the chosen god presiding at such a life-event celebration. Horses represent (source: VMFA.museum) “wealth, power and prestige but also cherished companions of humans, heroes and gods”. **re-edited original comment to incl missing info (below).
Forgot to add this info:- Here each star is in turn used by each BTS member to represent a different Olympian deity. So V=Apollo (god of Sun, Jin=Ares (god of War) or Athena (goddess of Justice), Jimin= Artemis (goddess of Moon), Suga=Hephaestus (god of Fire), JK=Poseidon (god of Seas), J-Hope=Zeus (god of thunder), RM=Dionysus.
The show was the last plan before going into the military service - which was planed for the end of 2020 - but Covid and politics intervened. The theme is "Map of the Soul" - at that point they had done the "Persona" part - how we (want to) appear to others. RM has so many questions: "Who am I?" He talks about how he is seen before he can actually see his nuanced self. The sleeping clips (pre-recorded like some other sections) show the bit of going to the unconscious part of self: The Shadow - which was - together with the Ego - their next project in the Map of the Soul concept. Because the shadow is the unconscios part of self: what we can't accept about ourself, what keeps us up at night, fear/anger/hate we deny, what can bring us to our knees (breakdown/depression) but is unfortunately also part of us. Idol Music has usually English Hooks - easy to remember and goood for a foreign crowd to sing with the group. bby gang mag has a bit of music history in South Korea in video essays like "BTS vs. K-pop" but I think there is also something in some of his other essays like "you are wrong about K-pop". "Boy in Luv" is written from a (male) teenagers POV - just as insecure as a teengirls can be - the song is from 2014. The hand gesture IS a gun - they are bullettproof after all: ‘Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim at adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents (J-Hope 2013) Jimin's line in "Boy with Luv" is "text me": The 2 Idols you see afterwards are from their younger label group (the others where not old enough to still be there): Tomorrow by Together or "TXT" for short. 😏 BTW Korean award shows are full of performances and sometimes over more than 1 day. Nevertheless this was unusually long even for BTS - because of the plan to serve by next time the MMAs came around. There is also a difference between MAMA and MMA: two different award shows: Mnet Asian Music Awards and Melon Music Awards (they are close together but.. well...) Microcosm was pre-recorded - the audience saw an entirely different performance of the song. (the horses are naturally also pre-recorded) Dionyus is being drunk on art. Jin is since december in the military, J-hope went this year and Suga is on the way. The others are supposed to go in soon but it may stretch into the new year. At the moment V is droping MVs for his album Layover that is coming. You nice! Keep going! 💜
This is not MAMA...this is MMA (another award show)...as BTS grew their popularity they were given more time to perform on stage and also BTS was last to perform before announcing the daesang (grandprize) and BTS swept all the four grandprize awards. Thank you for reacting to this.
@@TripTipsPodcast All their performances in the award shows were all epic! Hope you can also react to the members personality videos so you'll know that these popular and amazing guys are also crackheads 😆😆😆
Sometimes English is used for the rhyme scheme in BTS lyrics. The place you most often notice English is in the choruses, for the reason Brittany touched on- it gives the international audience a chance to sing along. BTW they have wide ranging personal musical tastes and often post what they are listening to on their instagram accounts.
They are genius rhyming the two languages. Sometimes they will use sound alike words to make a line have two meanings. In Blood Sweat and Tears they have the part where they sing Mwoni Mwoni Mwoni which means More More More, but is pronounced like Money which is cool. So many like that.
Every boy group always looking forward to have a glimps of Bts performance on award show live. They even make bts their inspiration for the performances they are doing on awardshows, because they say when bts perform it always grand production.
You asked about who they watch in concert. From various eyewitness accounts, various members have been spotted at a range of events, including but not limited to Billie eilish, Eminem, Coldplay, silksonic, lady gaga (her jazz series), Ariana grande, Harry styles, various festivals, smaller acts, other k-pop acts, each other's solo concerts. For the longest time, they had been so busy with work, they didn't have much time to go around watching performances live. Some of the members are more into concerts than others, and the different members do seem to have slightly different preferences.
@@TripTipsPodcast these are just concerts that they've been seen at. They also share music they're listening to through playlists and also on their social media (RM is a prime example of the latter). Many of the artists they've shared are not marquee/stadium-tour names, and some are quite niche. Some come from decades past (eg. V and his penchant for Bing Crosby), some are very much local to South Korea (with their appreciation for trot music). They do live and breathe music and their musical vocabulary is wide. :)
I see thanks for telling us
To add to the data, in this show they focused on V's hand because JK has tattoos on that hand, and there are restrictions on television stations not being able to show tattoos, it is something cultural as tattoos are not well regarded, I still think it is something more corresponding to the Korea's most conservative adult generation.
@@judithotto7131 thanks for telling us that bit of information
@@judithotto7131: Traditional only prisoners got tattoos.. they where some beautiful flowers 💐 tattoos normally on the back of the shoulder
Got it 👍💜
@@TripTipsPodcast 13:28 That particular song "Boy in Luv" and also another song called" War of Hormones" basically just explains how young immature teenage boys mistook love from lust.
Since they are experiencing puberty for the first time they think they care & love the girl which is why they are so obsessive & possessive but in reality all they like about her is all her beautiful superficial features.
Simply put since they are boys they like her because she's a woman.
And BTS is just pointing out
That that's not love at all, that's just your hormones acting out.
But ironically due to this song, BTS anti's accused BTS as "misogynistic" because they don't try to understand it

they listen to everyone..
They are so versatile with what they listen to. I love that about them🤩

The author of the book also acknowledged Bts.
It gives us inner guidance and, really, it has emphasis on the sacredness of the individual and the importance of the individual to take responsibility for the planet and for the world."

Too true
Absolutely! 😂
And their in-person Grammy performance was the best of the night even with Jin being injured & JK and Hobi only getting to rehearse a little bit with the grp the day BEFORE the show
Lol the hand symbol is the number 7 representing the members they’ve used it multiple times anytime they perform
Also fun fact... in the video when they were sleeping, Tae (V) actually fell asleep really... they just left him for a minute until he woke up
That’s funny.
the hand sign depends on how they hold their hands, I think.. when fingers are pointed upwards, it's a 'bang' (gun), when pointed down it's shaped like a 7, denoting 7 members in the group.

They are very versatile
@@TripTipsPodcastyes you are right. Thank you for giving them so much respect. 💜 ❤

We’re Bangtan Sonyeondan!”
That’s all that gun symbol means.

Oh ok got it thanks 😊

The symbol they were making with hand stands for the number 7.. it represents them as 7 members of BTS.. it has other meanings as well among the fandom bt that is the main meaning..

Also, at the end of Boy with Love, JK changes his gesture to make the ASL sign for I Love You. They don't televise that because of his tattoos.

The girl in the center was so right about "they are so versatile" because If you have heard their solo album you will get an idea about how they all taste are completely different from each other and how beautifully they blend their style in a group and that is how we see them as the most perfect group out there 😭😭
Jack in the box by Jhope
The astronaut by Jin
Indigo by RM
Face by Jimin
D-Day by Suga
Seven by Jungkook
Layover by V (only 2 songs released yet from the album, the whole album will be released on 8th sep)
These are their solo albums/singles based on their tastes and all 7 of them are completely different from each other 🔥🔥
"Versatility" is BTS's 2nd name 🤭

So in depth and so much meaning it’s crazy
It is crazy. No one does it like BTS. If you're ever interested in looking up the lyrics, translation, meaning, wordplay, metaphors of BTS Songs, I'd highly suggest the doolset lyrics. @@TripTipsPodcast

There is a lot of symbolism in this Dyonisos Intro :
1/ First, each member represents a greek god and each one danced to one of their songs:
V - Apollo god of sun ( No more dream)
JIN - Ares god of war (Danger) (some said it's Athena , goddes of War)
SUGA - Hephaestus god of fire ( Fire)
JIMIN - Artemis goddes of moon ( I need U) NB : Artemis is the twin of Apollo so it's perfect for the 95 liners aka V and Jimin
JHOPE - Zeus god of thunder (Fake Love)
JK - Poseidon god of water (Save Me)
RM - Dionysus god of wine and art ( Dionysus)
2/ The song is about their thirst for art, with which they can't live without in a way.
Yes we’ve been told. We will watch the other one as well

Lol
I remember when they came to allegiant. Vegas was so packed.💜💜💜
Got it thanks for sharing this with us 💜😊💜😊
At these Awards it is always the top awarded Artists that headline the main stage performance showcasing amazing stage productions 💜
This is MMA 2019 not MAMA 2019 they are different award shows that BTS won all major awards that year🥰💜
Thanks for the correction
Yes true
Thanks for explaining. That was helpful🙏😊💜

Very well said
Thanks for sharing this with us 😊💜😊💜
@@TripTipsPodcast You're welcome! 🙂 I never really realized the rhyming at first either...until I started studying Korean. This was pretty much my face: 😲 LOL
@@MystiqueRisingSun lmao
Thanks for writing that. It all makes sense now
Agreed, especially abt rhyming/flowing easier & also what fits better with what they're trying to express.
Not to mention reaching a broader audience & having lines where they can more easily participate in singing along
*and didn't want to mention other grps/songs but have definitely heard a lot where I think they just threw random English in for the sake of it coz the lyrics just didn't make a lot of sense 🤷🏻♀️
Yes that's right. And it's also a syllabic choice. If the sentence the lyricist wants doesn't fit the syllables and rhythm of the music in Korean, English is chosen. English is more accessible to Koreans than any other language.
@@user-yj7mz7mt6z oh ok that makes sense now thanks 😊

BTS's BTS is a kpop group called Big Bang. They were huge in Korea a decade ago, but they had some serious scandals and now they have basically disbanded.
That’s sad BIGBANG is 🔥
BTS were given a 40 minute slot to perform some of their songs, they may have been a different arrangement like Jimins classical dance to I need you, JK to save me.

I'm very sad they are forced apart by military service but when 2025 comes and they reunite they will be shocked at the size of army because from what I see there around 1 billion now and still growing.

100% agree 💜
The first song was 'Boy in Love' from 2014. It's basically them trying to win over the girl they like. They are nervous and confused over their feelings for a girl. The lyrics here convey how they are a bit immature and impatient about love (which is pretty common among teenagers in love).
The next song was 'Boy with love'. It had Halsey in it too and is from 2019. It's kind of an answer to Boy in love because here they have a more mature and healthy approach to love and relationship as they are already adults.
We reacted to boy with love with Halsey. Such a great performance
Love this so much abt them & how they'd change the ending pose to the ASL gesture for 'i love you' 🤟💜
BTS is really the standard in live performances. I have seen so many other award shows, local and international, and nothing compares to the grandeur and scale of BTS live shows. BTS's performances in Grammys, AMAs, and BBMAs are of course top tier, but as ARMYs we know they scaled back a lot.
Haven’t been disappointed ever from any live performance of theirs. Always a 10/10 show
Thanks for sharing your reaction to this. Later!
Wow thank you for such a detailed answer. Appreciate it!😊🙏💜💜💜💜
@@TripTipsPodcastAlso, the 7 light bulbs that drop down as each member comes out form the constellation Corona Borealis, or northern crown.

Thanks for explaining
Depending which way up it they do it. The first way you see it it's a number 7 representing them as group of 7. When it's the second one is an L for Love as Boy in love and Boy with love however it's also the Gun as bullitproof. You'll also notice the international sign for 'I love you' which is the 3 finger one. They also use international sign language in their song 'DNA' when they hold out their arm and tap it 3 times down the forearm which means DNA.
Thanks for the update

@@TripTipsPodcast Or their more recent PROOF live, they also do a little interview where they talk about the past decade and the anthology album.
Suga's concert tour was all with a live band so was j-hope on lalapaloosa
Few tiny desks as group and individuals also worth it too love seeing all your thoughts 💜
This is the norm from what I’ve seen as BTS award show = Show contrast too uk based award shows lol

The lights the army are holding are called BTS Bombs
Thanks 😊
Their MMA 2019 performance is iconic! Thank you for reacting
Thanks for watching
Buying a ticket in Kr. 1st is raffle then membership then general. Everything in Korea is linked to YOUR id card so you can only buy 1 per person and have to verify your identity at the show.
Wow I had no idea
Thanks for sharing this with us
They do priortise ARMY members when it you go online to book your tickets they are not cheap.
Wow that’s insane
Thanks for the reaction guys, love it and Britany appears to understand the struggles of popstars so well. My recommendation of BTS live shows:-
2016 MAMA Hong Kong - "Fire" performance (insane for it's time)
2017 MAMA Hong Kong - BTS' favourite as it was tongue-in-cheek message to their detractors (no gimmicks, just raw energy and messaging),
2018 MAMA Hong Kong - BTS were physically and mentally spent. This one must be watched with the Award Acceptance Speeches to understand how fragile they were at this point (just a couple of half days off for that year) to give an appreciation of how hard they worked
Not a live performance because Covid robbed us of it but "ON" Kinetic Manifesto is good fun!
Thanks for your comment and song suggestions. We’ll check them out. Don’t forget to check out our BTS playlist for more great reactions 💜😊💜😊
Symbolism of visual objects in Dionysus performance:-
(1) Dionysus: 1 of the 12 Greek Olympian gods.
(source: wiki)
(5) The final Dionysus stage performance is set up to represent an ancient Greek wedding ceremony w all its grandeur & pomposity set on Mount Olympus. Dionysus as god of festivity (aka party!) would naturally be the chosen god presiding at such a life-event celebration. Horses represent (source: VMFA.museum) “wealth, power and prestige but also cherished companions of humans, heroes and gods”.

The show was the last plan before going into the military service - which was planed for the end of 2020 - but Covid and politics intervened.
The theme is "Map of the Soul" - at that point they had done the "Persona" part - how we (want to) appear to others. RM has so many questions: "Who am I?"
He talks about how he is seen before he can actually see his nuanced self.
The sleeping clips (pre-recorded like some other sections) show the bit of going to the unconscious part of self:
The Shadow - which was - together with the Ego - their next project in the Map of the Soul concept.
The hand gesture IS a gun - they are bullettproof after all:
‘Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim at adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents (J-Hope 2013)
Jimin's line in "Boy with Luv" is "text me": The 2 Idols you see afterwards are from their younger label group (the others where not old enough to still be there): Tomorrow by Together or "TXT" for short. 😏
BTW Korean award shows are full of performances and sometimes over more than 1 day. Nevertheless this was unusually long even for BTS - because of the plan to serve by next time the MMAs came around.
There is also a difference between MAMA and MMA: two different award shows: Mnet Asian Music Awards and Melon Music Awards (they are close together but.. well...)
Microcosm was pre-recorded - the audience saw an entirely different performance of the song. (the horses are naturally also pre-recorded)
Dionyus is being drunk on art.
Jin is since december in the military, J-hope went this year and Suga is on the way. The others are supposed to go in soon but it may stretch into the new year.
At the moment V is droping MVs for his album Layover that is coming.
You nice! Keep going! 💜
Thanks for all the excellent information and for your support 👍💜👍💜
This is not MAMA...this is MMA (another award show)...as BTS grew their popularity they were given more time to perform on stage and also BTS was last to perform before announcing the daesang (grandprize) and BTS swept all the four grandprize awards. Thank you for reacting to this.
Oh dang I did the wrong one. Well not wrong because this one was still amazing. I will now have to do MAMA now
@@TripTipsPodcast All their performances in the award shows were all epic! Hope you can also react to the members personality videos so you'll know that these popular and amazing guys are also crackheads 😆😆😆
@@sherinecamilon5985 lmao 🤣
Really loved and enjoyed every reaction you guys have done. Very respectful to the artists and their performances.
Thank you💜🙏
Sometimes English is used for the rhyme scheme in BTS lyrics. The place you most often notice English is in the choruses, for the reason Brittany touched on- it gives the international audience a chance to sing along.
BTW they have wide ranging personal musical tastes and often post what they are listening to on their instagram accounts.
That makes sense 👍🔥
They are genius rhyming the two languages. Sometimes they will use sound alike words to make a line have two meanings. In Blood Sweat and Tears they have the part where they sing Mwoni Mwoni Mwoni which means More More More, but is pronounced like Money which is cool. So many like that.
@@bluehourtarot I heard that and I thought they were saying money. That’s funny you mentioned that.
They always make mma or award shows into their own concerts 😂
That’s what was so incredible about it all. They are just so good at performing they suck all the energy out of the room.
Every boy group always looking forward to have a glimps of Bts performance on award show live. They even make bts their inspiration for the performances they are doing on awardshows, because they say when bts perform it always grand production.
Very true
09:20 this song is from 2013 :) the theme being skool luv affair ;)
👍💜
You asked about who they watch in concert.
From various eyewitness accounts, various members have been spotted at a range of events, including but not limited to Billie eilish, Eminem, Coldplay, silksonic, lady gaga (her jazz series), Ariana grande, Harry styles, various festivals, smaller acts, other k-pop acts, each other's solo concerts.
For the longest time, they had been so busy with work, they didn't have much time to go around watching performances live. Some of the members are more into concerts than others, and the different members do seem to have slightly different preferences.
They listen to such a wide variety of music.
@@TripTipsPodcast bts dream of doing every type of music they dont want to keep themselves in one box
@@BtsyearJK2025 smart on their part.
@@onenottwoorthree I see that. So impressive 💜
In this awards show, BTS uses the elements of the earth, land, air, fire , wind, and water.
So cool
But MAMA 2019 is also amazing🥰💜
