It's a great video of an awesome zoo and a gentle reminder to myself that it is time to re-visit the zoo. However, I will wait until it is not so hot.😄
Indeed there are many shades and thanks to a lot of plants around its much better than outside in the concrete jungle, but nothing can help with 38 degrees :)
I have a question, is it possible to get the adoption package in English? There is an animal there that is very rare and we'd like to get the package for our son as a Christmas present. I went on the adoption website, and using Google translate there does seem to be an English option. I have written to the zoo about this, but maybe you'd know? Thanks!
Hey there! I believe that it will only be in Hungarian, when we were there they had a standard template and on top of that they print the information, and it was in Hungarian only. Did you write to info@zoobudapest.com or to info@allatkertialapitvany.hu? The latter is the adoption foundations contact. Which animal are you considering for adoption?
Zoo's will always be heavily debated. What I can tell you based off of people I talked to who either worked with the Budapest Zoo or are heavily invested in the topic, that the animals area treated to the best of their knowledge and capabilities here. Their mission is to show and educate about the different kinds of life our planet has and for kids, seeing the different kinds of animals up close helps with building empathy.
What animal would you have adopted? Do you have any favorite ones? Let us know in the comments below! :)

Is the zoo humane? Some disturbing reviews.
