    Well done! Not only did you help me learn more about a/b (Im new at fb ads).. but you put in "our sponsor today" mini-marketing ad for your business which, sold me!... How many videos always go into their sponsored video pitch somewhere in their video.. its quite annoying.. although I get it. business is business.. I usually fast forward. Yours just came during the training and showcased yourself.. Impressive.. I wish I could afford your service. We are just simple country folks basically selling topsoil and gravel and related services.. Still I am going to call you and see what you can offer us.. We are just country folk selling topsoil and gravel.. but come hell or high water we're gonna have the best dirt and rock videos on FB.. !! I am determined.. !!

    I have few doubts:
    1. About the budget, For example if I choose Advantage+campaign budget and put my budget as X dollars for running A/B testing do I have to increase my budget from X dollars to Y dollars?
    2. Without running A/B testing we can create multiple ads by changing creatives or ad sets by changing budget, placements etc..., so meta will automatically allocate out budget based on which ad set or which ad is performing well ( is this method correct ? ), even in this case we have to increase out budget right otherwise the delivery status would be learning limited.
    3. No matter what it is affecting the campaign budget, I mean we have to increase our budget right? or do we have any method to know which is better ad or ad set without increasing our budget?😅
    4. About changing budget, In the video you said that you can run A/B test on changing of your budget ( I didn't understand this, I mean either we can increase or decrease the budget, So based on that meta allocate the budget, but it effects the campaign budget right? confused, can you give one example for it )
    I hope you'll clarify my doubts, and by the way the explanation you given about A/B testing is very good.
    Thank you😄

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! We don't typically recommend using Advantage+ features, but you can set a definitive budget for any campaign you run. For #2, yes except you won't have to increase budget if you're getting enough actions on your ad. You can set a campaign level budget OR you can set ad set level budgets. Within an ad set, Meta will put more of your budget to the best performing ad without you having to increase your budget. Ideally, if/when you do increase your budget it's because you've found an ad that's generating profitable results for you.

    I hope I am not asking a naive question . I noticed that you A/B tested ads and ad sets without choosing the A/B test option when you were duplicating the ad set or ad but instead the original campaign. What would have happened if you had chosen the bottom option of A/B testing during the duplication process?

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! Are you referring to the A/B test button? If so, we have a video on that here: th-cam.com/video/8LbMbl6319U/w-d-xo.html

  • @user-ty7ne2bs7j
    @user-ty7ne2bs7j 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    if my campaign budget for the original ad set is $50, will my AB split test use an additional $50 per day, or would the budget be divided by 2 automatically?

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have two separate ad sets, each ad set will need its own budget. So if you duplicate an ad set that was spending $50 a day, the new second ad set will also spend $50 a day unless you manually edit the budget to be otherwise.

    Hi good tutorial, if i were to test the creative in this structure, is Facebook intentionally allocates higher budget to the better ads? for example, I have 3 ads insider my adset with $60 daily budget for creative testing, does facebook allocates the winning ads higher than the other two? because we are unable to see which ads perform better given the budget does not allocated evenly.

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Facebook will serve whichever ad drives higher results early on, more.

  • @winlos03
    @winlos03 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video! Quick question, how do I ensure that the reach is the same for all my tested ads (I am doing an experiment and different reach is not good for analysis)? I changed the copy (2 ads) and imagery (2 ads) but the reach is extremely high for some over others. Is there a way to prevent this and make the reach the same?

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! So, it's not a perfect science, but the best way to give your ads equal reach is to put each ad in its own ad set with the same budget for each ad set. When you put multiple ads in one ad set, Facebook is always going to push the ad that's performing the best. Hope this helps!

      @@LYFEMarketingAtlanta Thank you! This really reduced the discrepancy. There's still one that is doing much better in general, but hey it's generally far more aligned. Legends!

  • @kmejia84

    This is an easy way but confused if you are getting the most accurate results compared to using the A/B feature. Maybe adding insight as to why this is better would help.

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It just gives you more control of your ads as opposed to putting your results in the hands of Facebook AI (which isn't always reliable!)

    Is there a way to make sure that each ad is shown to unique groups of people inside an audience? This is the best way to make sure there's no overlap, thus influencing the accuracy of the ad results..

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like you'd just want to create very specific ad sets, with each ad set representing the specific audience you're wanting to target!

    • @SquareballoonCoUk
      @SquareballoonCoUk 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question. Wouldn't the Meta A/B fix this issue @LYFEMarketingAtlanta? There's no point in A/B testing the same advert to the same people right? Then you have a new variable, which is timing.

    • @MichaelGlazener
      @MichaelGlazener 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're 100% correct. This method doesn't split the audience and will run all 2 or 3 ad duplicates to the same audience which could greatly change the results. Showing someone a similar ad with 2-3 minor variations is more of a warm audience style campaign where more views might entice them to click, but that doesn't necessarily have to do with a caption, hook, or CTA button. It's just several ad exposures. Using META's built-in A/B test, it will segment the audience to not show the same person all variations you created giving you more accurate A/B results.

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta

      Hey there! Make sure you don't have the campaign selected. Make sure only the ad or ad set you want to duplicate is selected, then you can duplicate the ad or ad set without duplicating the campaign.

    are you saying I allocate my full monthly budget during the testing phase, and then go all-in on whatever ad is getting the best results after testing?I've heard for the testing phase, to allocate 15% of budget, then all-in after testing on whichever ad that got best results.

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! Great question. I think using 15% of the budget to test is fine *so long as* it's enough to fuel multiple ad sets and/or ads. "Enough" to me is no less than $300 a month per ad set.

  • @investinyourself8775

    Is it bad practice to split test ad sets that also have split tested ads inside? Like will it spread a budget too thin?

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Typically I'd say to split test ads at the ad set just for organization sake, but I would also say this could be bad practice. You'll want to either split test ads or split test ad sets, not both at the same time. It will just be confusing and might bring in some interference with the data you get at the end. Hope this helps!

    How about audiences? Could you let me know if you are concerned about overlapping audiences? What if they see all of the various ads and their behavior changes?

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hey there! Statistically, a customer needs to see ads from a brand at least 7 times before they convert. If there's a little overlap, that should be okay as you'll eventually retarget them anyway in order to get them to convert. If you're A/B testing ads (and not ad sets), you can look at the Frequency metric to see how many times an audience has seen a particular ad as well.

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! You can run the ads in the same ad set and allocate an ad set budget. It will then spread that budget among all the ads in the ad set.

    How long should I run the AB test?

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! I would advertise long enough so that each ad you're testing gets at least 1,000-10,000 impressions each (the shorter end is fine if that's what your budget can afford but would advise trying to get at least 10,000 impressions on each if possible to have valid data!)

    If we run ads over organic reach will hamper?

    • @LYFEMarketingAtlanta
      @LYFEMarketingAtlanta  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey there! Good question. Facebook has always been a pay-to-play platform, so even if you are getting strong organic reach, you will likely need to supplement that with paid reach as well. If you're getting a lot of engagement, you'll definitely want to retarget that engagement with a Lead or Sales campaign to generate results.
