40:30 one useful thing you can do is Italy is build a max level railway from the end of the boot all the way up to the French border, through Rome. Last time I played Italy when the supply situation got heavy, it would often send supply by convoy instead of rail, and get the convoys sunk.
personally what I like to do is build a railway from Rome, through yugoslavia, across the bosporus strait, along the levant and egyptian coast, and to libya. that way my troops dont suffer as much supply issues or worry about convoys
problem with sticking to that starting cas template is if you then switch to a better template later that doesn't have a machine gun, it won't have identical missions to the old design, which can cause problems with reinforcement. better to use a handful of your early air XP to fix the cas and/or fighter template you start with, then worry about new designs later.
22:53 - You forgot about getting Rocket Artillery to unlock Rocket Rails. Love the later game cas where I stick on Anti-Tank 2 and then fill it with rockets. edit- Wahey! 33:20!
What I like to do to yugo is to request every bit of land(dalmatia, montenegro) and then request the puppet. This allows them to have a higher chance to refuse and you can get resource rights and their civs
Slightly off topic from the video but it would be nice to see a small buff to all forms of anti air if you have a signal company. Such as a flat 5% bonus then stack another 5%-10% with varying levels of radar.
I like using a dual purpose cas for Italy. Instead of heavy bomb locks, I research AP bombs, and make a dual role cas with 1 regular bomb lock, 1 AP bomb lock, then rockets or cannons depending on what I feel like.
here's the thing, CAS is still king, but CAS supports your units that actually do the pushing, but if the units you are using are complete trash, like the early game units you are using here, and you have no supply (cause it's Russia, Greece, etc and you forgot to upgrade the supply network), you aren't going anywhere. A 9-1 infantry unit with support artillery, engineers, and AA, should be able to roll the front line with triple digit CAS damage, but your units are like 6-0 with just support artillery, which is a good bare-bones early game unit, but in 1941, its only good for guarding ports and that's about it, and that doesn't even factor in that half of your army is garbage militia units! The fact that you aren't pushing really shouldn't be a surprise.
22:18 it's not just diminishing returns, the minimal expected consumer goods is 10%. It is impossible to go lower than that without modifying game files. If you have total mobilization, your base expected consumer goods will already be 10%, so anything with a -% consumer goods factor would be utterly useless, except to cancel out any +% consumer goods factors. In your case, you have war economy with base expected consumer goods of 20%, so you can only reduce that by 50% before you reach the minimum of 10% expected consumer goods. you already have 41% and without the financial expert you would be at 49%, which is still overcapped, so hiring that guy actually did nothing at all.
Here’s an idea I had for an unusual playthrough: 😇🇬🇧 Good Guy UK where you decolonize but stay democratic just before Germany invades Poland and essentially stay on the historic path. You challenge yourself by lacking the resources, but still get the buff of extra PP and manpower.
22:15 in that moment you already had done like 2 desicions to lower consumer goods and you were already in the minimun, it is a shame how CG got nerfed to the ground, now you always have to look if you are at the minimun and from a lot of ways you could gain fewer CG in the past you only need 1 or 2 reduction when you are in war economy now so big parts of focus trees or advisors became redundent with the new CG.
@@FeedbackGaming yeah there is, the bottom is 10%... and you achieve it with war economy and a couple 10-15 % reduction... even if you add more they always stay at 10% minimum CG, which is realistic like some factories need to diverse to the population... but there are a lot of redundant ways to lower consumers goods with the new update and they never changed the mechanics around lowering them, so now there is a lot of things in the focus tree that are not only useless but new people could spend p.o. or something in a useless CG reduction cause they don't understand how it work...

Can u make a video with Italy making a super navy with alot of carriers . And try a navy and air Italy only challenge?
Yes
i tried 90% navy italy, and then it all got sunk in then firsrt battle in 1939. frenchy and brit is just too much. maybe try after french cap.

have this exact question
More planes to either mission.
there isn't. You should make separate planes, but Dave didn't, and now we saw how it went.
exactly, feedback is stupid and doesn't understand specialization for the Air Force

or the Polikarpov TIS
Should 'CAS-Only' and Irregulars really be that good? I would assume a few decent divisions pushing into Russia would have done just fine.
